Finally scientific proof that God hates Gays
masterrig replied to CygnusX-1's topic in Speakers Corner
In my experience, that's been me. But I have a limited subset to go on... It's better than calling out the name of a woman you're not with at the time! Chuck -
Finally scientific proof that God hates Gays
masterrig replied to CygnusX-1's topic in Speakers Corner
Despite the fact that this is a very amusing article the premise is entirely wrong. God does not hate gays. People hate gays. God wants you to get sin our of your life and be in relationship with Him. Kind of gay for me to have relations with him. HA . . . Like you haven't exclaimed, "OH GOD! OH GOD!" during sex before. I wonder who atheists call out to during sex? Chuck -
True... in some cases. I'd like to add... As long as humans are involved, anything can be flawed. Chuck

Everyone has their own thoughts and feelings on something and they are entitled to those thoughts and feelings. Chuck

I've never been there but here's the story... http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Eternity-s-gate-slowly-closing-at-Peckerwood-Hill-3761731.php Chuck

You bet! If, you are not tried criminally, you can be sued civilly. Carrying a concealed handgun is a huge responsibility. Chuck

I think the advice given earlier in this thread about trying various handguns is very good. It's similar to buying a new parachute... try 'em all to find the one that suits you and what you are comfortable with. Chuck

I saw a story on the news about those planes and they are amazing! We couldn't use them during a fire out here, where the biggest body of water is a stock tank! Chuck

PETA would go nuts! Chuck PETA be damned. We could take out some trash, while fine tuning a new way of...taking out the trash. If the Liberals are so aghast at taking care of business. They can contribute to the effort w/something more than their incessant whining. They'd be showing us how superior they are ... Yup! Chuck

That was gunpaq who said that about DL's and voter registration. All I said was 'thanks'. Chuck

The door and the gate has been wide open for almost twenty years. Illegal aliens and non-citizens already have the right to vote in the US via the Motor Voter Regeistration Act, something that both the Democrats and Republicans have exploited to gain a voter base. An illegal alien may document ones self at the DMV obtaining a state ID card (without threat of deportation........see current DHS protocols) and a non-citizen may apply for a drivers license at the DMV and both will be automatically registered to vote. Thanks! Chuck

Vengeance would be killing the person the same way they killed their victims. No one is suggesting he should have been raped prior. They might have done some kind of testing before using the drug. Chuck Perhaps a true believer like Bolas will volunteer to be the guinea pig before the next one. That's kinda ugly to say! How about lab rats? Chuck

If it's a single confession that came after 60 hours of interrogation immediately after the event, yes. But if they're sticking to that same admission 1-10 years later when the execution date is looming, then do we have to worry about coercion? (Maybe - some mentally scrambled people like to admit to crimes they read about. And some followers are so devoted to their leadership that they will take the fall, even with death. ) Every inmate in the pen, didn't do it... just ask 'em! Chuck

Walking around the DZ in a 'booty suit' with the booties on their shoes. When the soles on the suit wore-out they bring them to me to repair. I got to where I was replacing the soles with saddle skirting leather! Chuck

You bet! Have one for me! Chuck

I have no objection to the death penalty when we absolutely know the guilt of the defendant. That, however, is problematic, short of a freely provided confession. And when those people do so in order to get the DP (McVeigh), maybe we shouldn't be giving them what they want. And if we're going to administer the DP, it needs to accord with our Constitution. It doesn't matter how cruel their acts were, we are supposed to remain rational and true to our beliefs. So no death by dog attack, or gas chamber choke fests. Put him down the way we might the family pet. Humanely, pain free. I can go along with that. I never said that we should equal their death with the way a criminal put their victim to death. I fully agree with a 'humane' death penalty. Quick and painless. Ohio seems to be having a problem with theirs... maybe they should try the same chemical used to put horses down with. Or would it be inhumane to use something on a human that is used on animals... even though it quick and painless? Chuck

Real good point! As it happens, I know one or two who served their time and They're keeping their noses clean. I'm not going to sit here and say they are 'friends' but I'll converse with them. On the other side of the coin, there are those who for some reason don't clean-up their act. I'm in favor of second chances for those who 'prove' themselves. Chuck

That sure makes sense! Just consider the number of felons on the streets and parolees. Chuck

I would rather base our laws on known data, as opposed to basing them on "There's no telling." Voter I'd law is based on a solution in search of a problem. How 'valid' is that 'known' data? Chuck

I agree with you. The way I see it, the politicians want it that way so they can get more votes. Making their own job security. Chuck

That figure could be taken a couple ways. How 'closely' are voters scrutinized? Usually, on election day, the lines are long and the folks at the polls want to go home. A voter registration card is presented, the name is checked-off the list and the person is handed a ballot. There's no telling how many, across this country 'slip' through. I just don't have a problem with presenting a voter registration card or my driver's license. Chuck
