The joke was obvious. Chuck

because unlike Mexican's, Italian's learn to love this country! So much for my weak humor. Chuck

That's who I thought it was!!! Chuck

Since you're from the North, how 'bout... 'Uppa U.S.' Chuck

Not the too drunk ones... they just lay there like a goddamn wet rag. Not much fun. Is this a confession? Sort of. I didn't do it. Was at a party and accidentally walked in on a couple. She was stone cold drunk and the guy was just banging her. That's just soooo wrong! Chuck

That sounds like a Country song; "Tequila makes her clothes fall off!" Chuck

Did you ever have any doubts? This is good to see! Thanks to Gary Bettman and 'parity', we're seeing longer series and there's no telling who is going to win. This is really good for Montreal fans. I'd really love to see them knock-off 'Sid the Kid' and co. I'm just tired of all the Penguins hype. Chuck

I hate runaway games for that reason. They get chippy and ugly and people get hurt. Game 5 won't be a continuation...the Sharks won't want to take penalties and go back to Detroit for Game 6. The Wings can't afford to get into penalty trouble. Soooooo, it should be a good hockey game. I know which game you watched but, what a difference in reffing from the past 3-games. Bill McCreary gave a seminar in refereering. He called it fair for both sides. Good, solid calls. I just hope, the Wings don't get th big head and get sloppy, Saturday. If and that's a BIG if, the Wings can continue to play like tonight, this will really be a good-good series. Sheesh... this ain't good for my nerves! Chuck

The third period went as expected. The Sharks were trying to put Wings players out on stretchers. I'm sure, the Sharks were frustrated and showed it. The next game in san Jose is going to be ugly! I just hope, the Wings get through it and get game six in Detroit. What a series!!! chuck

I guess the Wings unspooled just enough primer cord tonight. Versus handed off their coverage to some outfit called Comcast Sportsnet California, who were so unbelievably biased that it almost made the game unwatchable. I laughed out loud when, with about 2 minutes left to play, one of the announcers commented on the fact that Babcock was still rolling Zetterberg and Datsyuk out for their normal shifts, and the other announcer stated " Babcock knows they'll take care of themselves, and he knows the Sharks won't get chippy or anything -- this is playoff hockey." Made me wonder what game he was watching. I hope you have fun at the game, but that you're ultimately disappointed when you leave.

So the $2,500 question is--will the Red Wings violate curfew again at SJC? If they'd lost tonight they would have mercifully avoided another opportunity to live up to their name. The Wings just let the Sharks know that they weren' going down without a fight. Chuck

I'm glad to see that! Go Canadiens! Chuck

Too cool! I think, one of the things in 'everyone's' favor... Bill McCreary! The Wings needed this tonight. Chuck

Yee-Haaaaaaaaaaaaa! Wings - 7 Sharks - 1 Franzen got a Gordie Howe 'Play-off Hat-trick'! Holy Cow! Chuck

Never say never. Someone's got to be the third team.....who better than a team who's lost 3 games in a row by 1 goal, with one game going to OT ? All we need is one less shot to hit iron, or one less stupid penalty, or one more hustle play. Don I just about threw-in the towel but just couldn't bring myself to make the wind-up. Did you see the look on the Shark's coach's face? I thought he was gonna... Wings just scored! 5-0!!! anyhow, blow a blood vessel! Chuck
-
Red Wings - 4 Sharks - 0 FRANZEN GETS A NATURAL HAT-TRICK! The wings got 'em on their heels! Go Wings! Boy oh boy, this'll bring Wings fans out of a funk! Chuck

I just don't understand the Wings. They beat those clowns at least 3-times out of 4 during the regular season! They just aren't being consistant for 60-minutes. The Wings have had too many stupid calls on them... like Homer getting called for goalie interference and Nabakov was several feet out of the crease! Every other goal the Wings score, gets reviewed! Zets did NOT kick that one goal that was negated in the last game. I'm not into conspiracy theories or whining but I just have a lot of questions. Maybe, the Sharks learned too good from Mike Babcock! As much as I would just love to see the Wings be the third team in NHL history to coma-back from a 3-0 defecit, it ain't gonna happen. Chuck

+1 ! And hopefully that regrouping won't require any training of a new/young goalie because Howard now has playoff combat under his belt. Sad day all around for the City of Detroit yesterday. Wings-loss, Tigers-loss, Ernie- now gone. GO WINGS! Ernie Harwell was the 'Voice of the Tigers' for a looong time. He will be missed. Bud Lynch, the 'voice of the Red Wings' is getting up there too. He keeps doing radio commentary for the Wings to this day. They don't just announce the games, they put it out there in pictures. You're right, yesterday was a sad day for Detroit sports fans but... they never quit hoping and supporting their teams. Real 'die-hards', those folks. then too, it seems to be that way with fans of the Yankees, Red Sox, White Sox, Cubs and soon. I'm sure, there are still, Brooklyn-ites who still miss 'Dem Bums'! O.K. I'm going to stick my neck out an make my pick for the finals... I really would like to see Montreal but I'm takingBoston in the East. I really don't care for any of theteams lfet in the West but I'll take Vancouver. I'd take chicago but screw Hossa! Chuck

The Sharks just out-played the Wings... bottom line. The Wings didn't give a full 60-minutes of play. They lacked consistancy. Slow to the puck, bad passes and so-on. The refs didn't help the Wings any, either! Calling Holmstrom for 'goalie interference' when he was shoved into Nabakov who was at least, 5' out of his crease? When the goalie is out of the trapezoid or crease... he's fair game. That' neither here nor there. It is what it is. Hopefully, the Wings will take this summer to re-group and come-back next season better and stronger. GO WINGS! Chuck

Maybe next year. Chuck

I absolutely love that kind of thing! Absolutely fantastic! Chuck

Legal american citizens would be more willing to do them if we weren't handing out free money so much. I can recall a time when jobs like construction, truck driving, road building and several other jobs were highly sought after. The pay was good and a man could support his family, and have a few 'extras'. Somewhere along the line, employers latched-on to the idea of hiring illegals, cut the wages and set it up to where a man couldn't 'afford' to do those jobs. Wages went down and the businesses found their profits were higher. I knew men who worked in packing plants, machine shops, lumber yards and other 'labor' jobs. I knew women who cleaned homes and took-in ironing and it helped their family. Why should a man want a job that used to pay good and now only pays minimum wage or less? But... we need illegals! Chuck if the minimum wage had kept its value then wages wouldn't have drifted down. if the minimum wage had been allowed to keep its value then american workers would be prepared to do the shitty jobs

Other than the excitement at a real live game, I like t.v. for the re-plays. Chuck
