Based on some peoples posting styles... I do not doubt it one bit.... its kinda obvious that substance abuse is a very large part of their lives. Not that there is anything wrong with that if they want to take the chance of getting to know their local police far better than I certainly wish to know them in tha way. Me... I prefer my high to be ALTITUDE... either in a plane... in or or leaving it... or... mountains.. GAWD I love the mountains this time of year... ski season is almost here. Terhe was 2 foot of new snow up there on Sat when I drove up to check it out. Good Lord! That's just gorgepus country!!! Dope is stoopid! If, others want to do that shit, that's fine. I get my 'high' riding my horse and working cattle. Chuck

I can understand that. If, the person being stopped is of some minority race, the cop is 'profiling'. A real common reason for stopping drivers is an out tail-light or dim license plate light. Cops do haveto watch their step. It's tough for police to really make a 'good' stop other than the obvious weaving or the thick cloud of smoke pouring out the side window. My crack about the mushrooms was aimed at a poster. Chuck

If, it bothers you that much, leave it be. Chuck

Which makes you more safe: A restraining order, or a gun?
masterrig replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
I voted gun. Restraining orders are a joke. -
BULLSHIT! Trudeau got a blowjob. What's good for Clinton... Trudeau's wife had an affair with Mick Jagger. Just gotta love politicians. Chuck

There ya' go! All those being so judgemental and arrogant about someone they never met, don't even know and based on some miniscule bit of information from the media. I wish, I was that G**-damned perfect! Chuck

I looked forward to seeing him on Sunday evenings and 60-Minutes hasn't been the same without him. I've watched him since he started on the show in 1978. Chuck

Perhaps, but in the meantime those "faux police costumes" weren't too bad either. Don Aw yeah. I like to use my imagination.! Chuck

Andy Rooney has passed away. He was 92. Thank you sir for getting us to think of things around us. Chuck

sadly, the statute of limitations ran-out and he won't face charges. For this particular type offense, the statute of limitations is 5-yrs. Chuck

Good for him! I'll tell you what... there's nothing better than seeing a good looking woman in a full length fox-fur coat! Chuck

Political Correctness Wins ... Halloween Canceled
masterrig replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in Speakers Corner
The 'politically correct' people are just taking the fun out of everything! Halloween is Halloween! Christmas is Christmas not 'Happy Holidays'. This whole country allows a minority group to lead it around by it's collective nose and I will never join that line of thinking. Competition is competition and keeping score is a part of it. Real life juat ain't Disneyland! Chuck -
Parts kit gun builds... Anybody done one?
masterrig replied to LongWayToFall's topic in Speakers Corner
That does sound like too much fun! Good luck to you and be sure to post your results. Guns are good! Chuck -
I was referring to kids, just out of high school. I know, college graduates who have been working minnimum wage jobs just to pay the rent and un-able to find jobs in their degrees. Folks such as yourself, who worked hard to get their degree and can't find work in their field is just wrong. As for the OPW's, they need their fannies spanked. Chuck

What is with these refs? In last night's Calgary - Detroit game, the officiating for both sides was horrible! The 'real' penalties were either not seen or ignored. Even the announcers were commenting on the sorry officiating. Mickey Redmond was beside himself a couple times. Chuck

unemployed people can. Lots of expensive stuff (iPads, Macs, Smartphones, designer clothing) for those "unemployed" folk... A lot of rich kids slumming with a scant few bona fide poor folk. Rich kids who think it's cool to bite the hand that feeds them foie gras and beluga caviar. These people seem to fail to realize that Apple started in a Garage, and Google and Facebook started in dorm rooms. Hilton started as a single hotel... Stop whining about what you don't have, and go out and DO SOMETHING TO EARN IT. They're not going to do it because for one thing, it would mean work and they expect everything to be handed to them. They want the paycheck... just not the work. Now, where do you suppose they got that idea? Chuck

I'm curious... how many of these incidences resulted in injury and why we don't hear more about it. You would think, in this day and age parents would be up in arms. Chuck

I saw this on the morning news, today. Absolutely disgusting. No need for that type of punishment. Chuck

Happens all the time Companies pay to have the accusation go away Not that there is any merit to the charge however, it may be cheaper to pay it off (if they accept a low enough number) than it is to pay the lawyer to litigate it. As a dentist, my sister has had her insurance company force her (twisted arms anyway) to settle, even though the claim was bogus The doors have been left wide-open for someone to make a quick buck. We do live in a lottery society! Also, Cain should get a refund for the money he paid-out for his accusers to keep their pie-holes shut when in fact... they didn't! Chuck Chuck
-
Something I don't understand... if, a guy is innocent of sexual harrassment, why would he pay hush-money to an accuser? As for Cain's chances... who knows? Chuck

Child beating is done more frequently in Texas then any other state. 50,000 times a year by teachers. But the shocking thing is it's done by Government employees. The ones you guys claim are way to inept to do anything, outside of beating your children. Gee, wonder where good old Pat Robertson will end up on this one. 50,000 times a year, a child in Texas is beaten by a teacher? How strange, we only hear of one judge here, beating his daughter with a belt... 7-years ago! From my search, corporal punishment in schools in the 19 states that allow corporal punishment, there has been a drastic decline since 2004. As of 2007, 1.1% of students in Texas have met with some form of corporal punishment. Texas has also shown a drastic increase of school districts to abolish corporal punishment. Chuck
