  1. So name your favorite juice or nonalcoholic concoction! When I was in high school I used to make what I now consider diabetes punch (SO much sugar): A can of Five Alive concentrate (or some other citrus juice), a big thing of Sprite. Mix those two together, and then add a ton of fresh fruit. YUM! Recently, I've also become fond of fresh kiwi juice
  2. When we go out, I normally get a pineapple or cranberry juice and no one says anything. I like to have half a drink or so, I'm off the hook for DD. As for really good juice, they make the best fresh kiwi juice here. It is so amazing!
  3. We found a bar whose specialty drink is a Strawberry Yogurt Soju Cocktail here. I'm planning on making that my 21st birthday drink
  4. Ok so I'm that bizarro person that isn't fond of the taste of alcohol, and can taste it in just about everything (to include PsychoPunch - crazy I know) . Anyways, I'm sick of being DD/responsible one (I don't have a license over here so I've become the designated stupid killer, what fun is that?? But seriously, no one wants to end up in Korean jail) So since the theme of the day seems to be alcohol, what are your favorite fruity/frufru/doesn't taste like alcohol drinks???
  5. Hey, my husband and I are here. There is supposedly a place here in Seoul that jumps twice a month, but it's like $80/jump. I know for certain there is a KPA, and I know this past Christmas there was a Korean from the area at zhills going through the AFF-I course. We haven't found the place yet, but we also haven't looked hard (we did a lot of googling before coming here). We actually left our gear stateside with a friend. Should we go looking for jumping and decide it's worth jumping here, then said friend will ship our stuff over. I'll start looking for more info and will let you know soon. When will you be here and do you know where you'll be yet? ETA: http://www.skydivingschool.or.kr/main.php
  6. Once you have your A license you have the option of not using an AAD As a student, and even as a licensed jumper you can still rent gear at your DZ that has an AAD If my choice was jump with no AAD or stay on the ground I'd jump with no AAD IIRC~ Pookie has some physical limitations that likely necessitate the use of an AAD, in the interest of safety he shouldn't jump without one. This is exactly what I was about to post. Pookie, I wish I could help you. I will let you know if anything changes and I can.
  7. yep, i hear ya. and 6 days later we decided to get married... 8 years later we are still together, not one argument to date. we got real lucky.
  8. Glad I didn't get that college education, looks like it would be backwards! Dammit, normally I catch that one. And you have an associates, pretty sure that counts as a college education
  9. My drive was more like 8 hours... Literally I expect to see your engagement announcements in approximately 5 months. ETA: a smiley, how could I forget the smiley? Granted I am dead serious. You gonna wear a suit at my wedding? Seeing as you wouldn't let me wear the dress at yours. Well, if you hadn't forgotten your dress, you wouldn't have had to wear the suit now would you? You're lucky you didn't have to wear your uniform

  11. I'm with you on this one. I look like crap during a day of jumping. It's to the point that if I shower and change into my normal clothes at the end of the day, people don't even recognize me. I'm actually pretty girly outside the DZ, but at the DZ I'm all tom boy. I met my husband at a DZ, and he didn't give me a second glance as anything more than a friend until weeks later when we got together outside skydiving and I had actually brushed my hair and showered i met my wife at a DZ. but, yes... her leaning over a table wearing a sports bra did make a difference. but after the initial "look" we started up a great conversation that lasted all day. Right? I am still amazed at how easy conversation is between us. One of our first "dates" was carpooling to Fitzgerald, and the four hour drive passed in about 20 minutes. That weekend pretty much changed my entire world.
  12. I actually never noticed you are getting undressed in your picture
  13. Oh my goodness, all this time, I thought your avatar was Spongebob. Clearly, I didn't look very closely.
  14. I have myself a nice man already. I just hope his genes beat out mine should we ever have boys.
  15. Duuuuh! How many dudes per chick at any DZ you know of? 10-1? If i were the only duded to 10 girls I would be bat shit happy! Ever wonder why dude teaters are so "happy"

  19. Ok, you got me, I should've known better. CLEARLY, I have not been around skydivers enough lately to have missed that one
  20. There's 215,000 km on my 1998 that I gave to my dad! That's the reason I went with a newer one. LOVE JEEPS!!!! I've been tuning him (yes, I call my Jeep a him ) since day 1...He runs like the first day I bought him Glad to know I'm not the only one who has a dude jeep. My jeep was a him, too. I put a god awful number of miles on him the first year I had it, but I remember my dad's jeep had 250,000 miles on it when he sold it, and it still worked fine. Shell, gorgeous Jeep, and I'll admit, I was also expecting it to be another boxer
  21. "Sofa skydiver," I like it. And I am on sabbatical, enjoying Korean life and all that. Plus, most of my posts are bonfire and women only posts. But seriously, even before I went on a jumping break, I lived 3 hours from my dz and worked and went to school full time. And yes I am SO sofa skydiving tonight
  22. You know my next post in this thread was going to be for the OP to go talk to you (and to tell him that DZ parties are still a blast when you're sober. Trust me, OP, I don't drink, and I thoroughly enjoy myself) Btdubs, I can't speak for the other girls here, but I don't give a damn what I look like when I am jumping. I know I am attractive (plus a I have a vajayjay AND boobies, automatic win), but on a jump day I am there to jump, not to toss my hair in the wind and bat my eyelashes. Jumping, especially in the south and in the summer, is a dirty, nasty, and fucking amazing sport, and if you only care for the women in this sport that are "hot" you are really missing out on a lot. To be fair, I am damn jealous of those women who look perfect while jumping and have the skills to match.
  23. They're off sleeping with your best friend. I
  24. Pictures?? And it gives you an excuse to sparkle
