    I saw this truck full of mexicans pulling a trailer that had a big ass propane tank (like the ones you see by gas stations - you know, the BIG OLE ONES) all painted orange with some contraptions on it.. turned out to be a pumpkin cannon, same concept as a potatoe gun.. not sure if it was powered by propane or not :)

    Websites? Hummm.. so it sounds like the atom is like the mirage for the UK. Mirage are very popular here, though the popularity is going down a bit with the introduction of some other rigs (odessy, infinity, etc..) i havfen't seen infinities as it is around here though monkeyclaw (freefly team) uses them exclusively. Has just about everyone over there heard of a mirage ? If i saw someone here with an atom on I'd haven't the foggiest what it was if I hadn't seen them today.

    Woah.. that is a really cool material they are using (on the black rig.. looks like some pants I see some girls wear). I had no idea there is such a different range of skydiving gear that isn't seen in the US. I've never seen anyone with a parachue de france main, or rig for that matter. What do you guys think of these products ? Is mirage popular there? Are these tear drop rigs popular there? Pros / Cons to them? Very intrigued..

    Well if you're going through the process with the three letter organization I'm going with on their website (as well as applications) it states: "Candidates must be completely available for assignment anywhere in the "organization's" jurisdiction, have uncorrected vision not worse than 20/200 (Snellen) and corrected 20/20 in one eye and not worse than 20/40 in the other eye. All candidates must pass a color vision test. " Needless to say, I was blind as a bat before lasik.

    Well I went under the lazer saturday.. had to do it for a work pre-req. 2500 bucks and 10 minutes later, I can see without glasses! :) It's really cool how it worked.. i don't think i'm 20/20 yet, but i'm told it will get better over time.. (it's only be 3 days). I think i'm gonna go jumping this weekend -- woo hoo!

    I traveled after september 11th with mine in a suitcase, accidentally had a mini-screwdriver (like the one used to take the battery cover off a protrac). They flagged my bag said they had to search it.. i was like "oh great". He was like "do you have a small object in your bag, like a screw driver?" I was like I don't think so.. so I open it up - pull the rig out, holding it in the security check point he looks in my bag - takes my screwdriver and was like "ok that's all I needed"
