In response to this - i know one USPA DZ that shouldn't be one! The dropzone in Las Vegas which does not allow experienced jumpers. In my mind, if you're gonna be a USPA dropzone you need to allow USPA members to jump there. Not just be a tandem factory. They should take away the USPA membership to this DZ.

Yeah I'm thinking about it -- supposed to be up around 48 right? I haven't jumped in a while so yeah.. pretty sure of it!

Maybe this is me just slacking, but bonehead FINALLY has a picture of their M3T (Military Helmet). http://www.boneheadcomposites.com/mt3.htm I remember seeing them talking about the M3T on the website for the longest time, but never had a picture. This thing looks pretty sweet - makes me want to take up HALO, or hell just make it look like I took up halo :)

I won mine at a boogie, so I think I got the best deal of all! Guess it ended up costing me the $15.00 for the registration? :)

Dude - this ought to be a hint that maybe this guy should stay out of things that fly! http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/01/10/sightseeing.plane.crash/index.html PURGATORY, Colorado (CNN) -- A sightseeing plane pilot survived two crashes in the snowy Colorado Rocky Mountains after his plane crashed with two passengers aboard; he went to get help, and returned in a rescue helicopter that also crashed. All passengers on each flight survived. Search teams Thursday found the two survivors of the sightseeing plane crash, who had spent a freezing night waiting for the pilot of their plane to return with help. Efforts then turned to help the eight people who were aboard the crashed rescue helicopter, including the plane pilot. The pilot, who walked six hours through snow until his cellular phone would work to call authorities, was guiding search teams looking for his downed plane when the Air Force UH-53 helicopter crashed. A second UH-53 with night vision equipment flew over the scene of the helicopter crash and observed eight people "walking around the crash site," said Butch Knowlton of the LaPlata County Sheriff's Department. All eight appeared to be in good condition, said Lt. Dan Bender of the sheriff's department. Ground teams were attempting to reach them Thursday morning. The sightseeing plane, a Cessna 172, crashed Wednesday about 11:30 a.m. (1:30 p.m. EST) about 20 miles north of Durango, in the southwestern part of Colorado. It was on a short sightseeing trip out of Farmington, New Mexico. The two passengers suffered injuries including a broken ankle and broken ribs, Bender said. They were unable to make the difficult hike with the pilot. Ground teams managed to reach the two passengers just before 6 a.m. and found them to be "alert and oriented," Bender said. An Air Force C-130 plane was also part of the search. The plane and both helicopters were from Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. "Any time anyone survives a plane crash, it's remarkable," Bender said. "But it's even more remarkable in the Rocky Mountains in the winter." The plane went down in an area of the mountains accessible only traveling by snowmobile or wearing snowshoes. Bender said the Cessna crashed onto trees, which may have cushioned the impact. Bender said neither passenger was wearing winter clothes -- one was wearing shorts. The plane was not equipped with survival gear or blankets. Temperatures in the area Wednesday night were in the teens to low 20s. -

Hoolllyy crap! After seeing some of those videos I was reminded of my Negative G Exit out of a twin otter. Man, it looks like they are having some fun over there @ Pink!! -
Humm they used to do domain filtering back at my old school, I'd just ping the URL get the IP and go directly. Try that -- IP is http://209.164.88.155/ :) I remember playboy.com, they blocked the IP - but didn't take into consideration that playboy.com uses multiple servers using a round-robin DNS configuration so all you had to do was ping the URL more than once and it gave you more IPs for the same web server :) Ahh the good ole days

I was just goofing around and decided to go to http://www.killosama.com -- my gosh it's a dating service! Humm.. not sure what the logic was behind that marketing program.

Well I didn't wear it ON the flight.. (legstraps and whatnot) I had it under the seat silly. Wore it on/off the plane through the terminal and whatnot. but I was still surprised none of the airporte people said anything.

Okay - Well for the holidays I flew from one of the tightest security airports back home. (From Washington Dulles to Jackson, MS via ATL) and then from Jackson, MS to Washington via Cincinnati. I had my rig in a carry on sized piece of luggage. Along with me I had a backpack with my laptop in it. I had to put my camera helmet in a brown box cause I didn't have enough room anywhere else for it. The Delta ticket lady asked what was in there, I guess she thought it was suspicious looking. So I had my cypress card in pocket, ready for a big fiasco made my way to the security checkpoint. Stood in line got up there, took my laptop out of the bag put it down with the backpack and my rig - they sent it right through didn't ask any questions. Didn't ask me to turn on my laptop, pager, or cell phone (which I used to ALWAYS have to do before September 11th.) I thought that was kinda interesting. So - the fun part was coming back. I was on a big plane going down, was able to take my bag and my rig on the plane and shove them overhead. Coming back I was on a Canadian Regional jet and had room for only one bag - it was either my Rig or my Laptop. I did the cost analysis and decided because I had a funky dream the night before that we crashed the otter while doing a negative G stunt and the fact the rig costs more than the laptop, I went back down and got my rig - however the luggage wouldn't fit so I put the backpack in the luggage and wore the rig back onto the plane. 'Course I hadn't made up my mind to do this till after I got on the plane. So there I am, getting off the plane while everyone is getting on, then walking back with a parachute. :) Got a few funky looks. The best part of this was when the lady sat down next to me, halfway through the flight she said "That is a neat looking backpack you got there" -- my only response was a smirk and "It's a parachute" needless to say she didn't say anything else to me the entire flight, just kept looking over at me funny. So I got to Cincinnati and walked into the holding pen there with it on my back, had a few more head turns. Walk to get on my connecting flight back home went through numerous stops & random checks for id/ticket not one person said anything about it. When I got my skydiving helmet back @ Washington there was a big sticker on it saying it had been "security screened" or what not. So i'm glad to see that I didn't have any problems, but was less than impressed with the airport security these days.

I was actually going to go to England for a semester abroad, called delta (cause I was gonna take my rig) and asked them about taking a parachute on board - If I could do it (i've never done it before). She put me on hold, talked to her supervisor, and came back and said "Yes, if it meets the size and weight requirements you can - but you can't sit in an exit isle" :) (no kidding) This was before the 09-11 stuff. Kevin

Hey - did any of you guys check out the primere of this new fox show 24? Towards the end (though I only caught the last half of it) some chick blew the door off a commercial airline (While wearing a rig) got sucked out and did a skydive. They did a somewhat good job of putting real skyidiving footage (looked like a night jump) showing good form and what not. The rig she had looked like an old piece. (of c*ap) :)

Humm.. before I moved up here to VA some buddies of mine went out on our crotch rockets, me with my Bonehead & PC5 and got some good video. I'll have to move it to web format so you guys can see. They were standing on the seats going 90 MPH, wheelies and all kinds of stuff. :)
