That's pretty wild rationalization!

I thought about putting 'anything', but I figured somewhere they had to get at least one fact right and don't have the time or the patience to read through everything on their website.

It's amazing that people actually believe everything that the Answers in Genesis people put out.

Ok, first off you are over thinking it. On your first jump they will go over most of if not all of your questions, especially how to handle a parachute in flight. The biggest reason just about anyone can take an AFF course and survive is due to the size of the parachute being used. It will be much bigger then what most of the licensed skydivers are using and will basically fly like a big truck, SLOW. So if you do screw up you have a better chance surviving. The majority of your questions really need to be addressed by the instructors you will be working with. I don't think this forum is a good place to learn for newbies. Too many self proclaimed experts with little to no experience.
-
To really compound the issue, consider how difficult it is to keep a team together and organized. The more people involved the harder it is to keep together and organized. Now try and get all skydivers regardless of (personality/wingloading/wing type/discipline or lack of/skill level) to conform to very specific rules regarding how they fly their canopy. And there is no way to comunicate to them while they are under canopy to inform them that they are not following the rules. You can only address them after the fact and that is if someone notices them and is willing to make the confrontation.

I don't really see any way to stack the landing order by wing loading on an average Otter load. Too many different groups with varying degrees of wing loading. Even on an 8 way belly jump you could have a huge difference in wingloading.
-
What makes the whole issue even more complicated is the variance in canopy sizes and wing loading. Then throw in the occaisonal spiralling skydiver and sashaying on final. I rarely land in the main landing area any more.

Sounds a lot like theft to me. She shouldn't have any trouble winning that lawsuit. -

It could be condolence card to your family that you leave behind. Do you like those too? -
Oldest Fossils on Earth Claim to be Discovered

This logic only works if you ignore all the evidence supporting evolution. -
Interesting, now I know the middle name of one of our local riggers! Cecil!

The Answers in Genesis people are not nearly as smart as you give them credit for. GeorgiaDon did a great job of explaining why they are wrong.

Penn Jillette always has straight forward and simple way of saying things. http://www.cnn.com/2011/OPINION/08/16/jillette.atheist.libertarian/index.html?hpt=hp_c2

It is comically obvious that the goal here on SC is not in inflict belief but to seek and destroy anything that is not understood. Those who fail to grasp the meaning of life will be damned if they sit idly by and let anyone else present evidence outside the holy grail of contemporary scientific thought to the contrary. They ignore the gaping holes the scientific method will never solve. But instead present their gospel of meaningless and futility as the answer to mans aspirations. So when anyone challenges your beliefs they are on "seek and destroy" mission and they just don't understand! The problem is that you have no actual evidence to support your beliefs in your deity. You claim your god exists yet can't provide any evidence other then anecdotal to back it up. With out evidence it's not reasonable to believe in any deity.

Comprehension isn't the only thing he is having a problem with, his whole plantiff and defendant argument is seriously flawed.

Everyone starts at the beginning. You have to prove that you can fly in the tunnel with out hurting yourself. Following the progression is worth it and will make you a better flyer overall.

"Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence." Yes, yes it is. The absence of evidence that there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow is evidence that there is no pot of gold at the end of every rainbow.

Very nice well thought out post.

It would be very unlikely to result in a blood bath. The average legally armed citizen here in the US is not all that trigger happy. I am sure it wouldn't be that much different in the UK.

Jaybird only knows how to copy and paste, mostly from the Answers in Genesis website. Critical thinking and logic are pretty much lost on him.

The magnetic riser covers made me think V3. Which I currently have and love the magnetic riser covers.

Pretty much all modern containers are freefly friendly. Sorry looked at it and thought V3. You will need to have it checked out by a rigger to get an answer.

Dead-end argument. It's been said before....you make these grand claims. Yet can't produce any evidence that he doesn't exist. Any argument either for or against the existence of a physical God is futile. That is a silly argument.
-
Where did matter/energy come from? No one knows what caused the Big Bang or what came before it. There is lots of objective evidence to support Evolution. Nothing to support creationism.
-
Why? Your involvement or self imposed exile from God's Plan has been known from the beginning. God's Plan will be accomplished with or without you. Because you make these grand claims. Yet can't produce any evidence.
