But isn't that how we got into trouble in the first place. I think it's important to sincerely and dilligently strive for the the right one. How would you ever know what the right one is? There have been so many "right one"s. Just to add, no matter how sincere or dilligent you are in striving for the 'right one', it doesn't make it any more likely to be THE 'right one'.

Call Mirage, it might not cost too much to have it resized.

Is it a scam and what is my risk?

Email him back and tell him that you will need to hold on to the gear for at least 3 months to be sure the check is legitimate before shipping the gear out. He probably won't respond anymore. -
Ah, just read the joke haven't read the rest of the posts. The two scenarios really don't match up all that well so the humor is totally lost in BillVon's version.
-
Seems like a very strange and unlikely scenario. Not sure what the point is.

No problem, just clarifying what I wrote.

You guys did a great job. It's a really cool video.

I didn't add the conditional check. It was already there. It's been a part of society in the US. I was just pointing it out. The whole point of this is that homosexuals are challenging that conditional check. Just like the example you brought up of women not being allowed to vote. My argument was that the earlier analogy was incorrect because not everyone can sing. I was neither arguing for nor against same sex marriages.
-
I think you would probably be on a very short list of people that think that way. Marriage in the US has been commonly known to mean marriage between two people of the opposite sex. If it wasn't then there wouldn't be an argument.
-
So your argument is since lots of people believe and pass it on to their children. It must be true. So by that logic all religions are right. So believing in the Hindu gods is just as valid as believing in Christianity.
-
Your analogy doesn't really work since not everyone can sing. So it discriminates against those who can't sing. Allowing everyone to marry someone of the opposite sex is not necessarily discriminating against homosexuals since they do have the ability to marry someone of the opposite sex even though they don't have any interest in the opposite sex. Homosexuals are pushing to redefine marriage. That is fine with me, but since marriage has been intertwined with religion it cause many people to feel like their religion is being attacked.

You realise that you just contradicted yourself there... Atheism is as much a religon as Christianity or Islam... No I did not contradict myself. No matter how you look at it atheism is not a religion. And to address some of your other posts. No atheists don't claim to know everything by saying there isn't any deity of any kind. There simply is no evidence of any deity. So to claim there is a deity despite no evidence is just silly. Atheists generally don't claim there is no possibility of a deity existing, it's just so remote and unlikely that it's not really worth considering. Especially since there isn't any evidence to even suggest the possibility of a deity existing.

It seemed like someone was taking it seriously. Could have been wrong?

I am not in favor of religion and am an atheist, but I would like to point out that is from the Onion. Which is a tongue in cheek kind of website.

I find when I use duct tape it prevents the canopy from opening. So you should probably avoid using duct tape.

Once she gets out of jail, I think she might have some trouble dating!

And equally as credible as Christianity!!!

I see it as a book that chronicles a middle eastern mythology.
-
Attempting to, is more like it.

Maybe easier to consider...but not reasonable. No I meant reasonable rather then just assuming that your interpretation of the Bible is correct. I am sure there are many Christians who would argue that your interpretation of what Gods laws are is wrong. The Bible is often vague and is very much open to interpretation. So much so that there is no real consensus on what it all really means. It's evident in the number of different Christian sects.
-
Through out the Bible there are slaves. So God must consider it morally right to have slaves? Right?
-
The conscience is different from person to person, society to society and varies over time. Many things that were considered morally right in 1800's in the USA are not today. My sense of right and wrong is probably different then yours. It is more reasonable to consider the conscience to be something that evolves with society.

This isn't about me or what I have or haven't done. It's about this mythology that you and millions of people believe in and attempt to push on to others. You are like those snake oil salesmen of years ago peddaling your claims of grand rewards for those who believe and dire consequences for those that don't. Yet you have nothing to back up your claims.
-
Why should I believe, if you can't even defend your belief in the existence of your god? I don't see any evidence of any consequences of not believing in Christianity or any other religion. I don't see any reason to believe there are any deitys or any life after death. You make claims that there is some grand consequence to not believing in Christianity, yet no evidence to support your claims.
