Prove it. I don't believe you. Prove your God even exists!
-
Ok, that made no logical sense at all. God allowed/caused your kid to be sick then God cured your kid of the sickness so your reponse boils down to no matter what god does be it something good or bad, "God is holy, just, trustworthy, and sovereign". In other word don't question God! Sounds like a brainwashed response to me.

There is nothing wrong with F111 canopies, they just don't last as long as a ZP canopy. My first canopy was a 150sqft PD 9 cell.
-
What was incorrect?
-
Well yeah kind of like that! It's good description of Christianity. LOL
-
How do you know that either the JWs or Mormons might not have it right and everyone else is wrong?
-
And they all have no objective evidence to support them. The anecdotal evidence of Jaybird's kid being sick and then apparently being saved by god, according to Jaybird, is pretty much worthless. It is kind of weird how he attributes the recovery of his child to god, but doesn't seem to have reason for his kid being sick in the first place. He seems to think the sickness part as being random and the recovery as a deliberate act of god. My view of his story is that apparently god made his kid sick and then cured him for no apparent reason. Kind of a really twisted game if you ask me. I don't think I would like a god like that.

With so many different takes on Christianity I still don't see how his is any less valid then yours or anyone else's.
-
Prove that ever happened and you would have a valid argument. All you have is a written account that can't be verified.
-
Hey his view of god is equally as likely to be true as anyone else's. He has just as much evidence to support his view as you have to support the existence of the Christian God.

They have some very talented and friendly staff at SVCO. Tunnel time always helps your freefall skills. Give them a call and they will hook you up with a great coach. I have flown in that tunnel a lot and usually go with Brad Cole, but I have flown with a lot of the staff there and can't say that there is anyone I don't like.

How do you know when god is speaking to you?

I am sure there are businesses in your area that do custom tshirts. I would try there.

Interesting, I have the same camera. Haven't jumped it much lately. I have been team training lately and I am not in the video slot.
-
I am surprised you don't experience the same issue with auto focus. What camera are you using? You don't ever see your camera searching for something to focus on when you look away from the subject, either at the ground or sky?
-
I have used the Raynox .3 a lot and nearly always set the focus to manual and infinity. With those settings it was never out of focus. The only times it ever lost focus was when set to auto focus and the subject wasn't centered in the frame.
-
No problem. The scenarios that I have seen issues with auto focus are if moving from the subject to clear sky and back when the subject is just on the edge of the frame. The auto focus can't tell what to focus on and everything is blurry while it's trying to find something to focus on. If you are very diligent in keeping the subject centered you may never see it hunt for an item to focus on. I don't do much video any more so I would have to look pretty hard to find an example.
-
Wow, kind of sensitive aren't you! I didn't ask you to change anything. Just pointing out that I have seen issues with using auto focus.
-
If you only do Tandem videos and the subject is always in the center of the frame you may never see an issue with auto focus. But I have often seen issues with auto focus used in freeflying where if the subjects go out of frame or the camera can't decide what to focus on everything goes blurry. It's not an old notion and technology hasn't fixed it.

So all the gods are real! I always liked Odin.

Not much of an assumption to see how cultures and societies have responded to God through out the ages. He has been in the forefront of our species psyche from pre-history until now . It would seem logical that the burden of proof would be on those who say He doesn't exit. Because if He does there may be hell to pay. If He doesn't, we all drift off into oblivion none the worse for ware. ... Which of the many many gods are you referring to??
-
Not exactly the same thing. Evolution has a lot of evidence to support it. There is still so much unknown that we may never know. But it makes much more sense then simply saying "god did it". Yet there is no evidence of any deity much less the Christian God.

You forgot the AnswersInGenesis people! That's Pajarito's favorite website.

Copying through USB from the camera should be just as fast as pulling the card and using a card reader to copy to your computer via USB. Either way it doesn't take as long as it did using firewire on the old cameras.

Worst/scariest "Holy shit" jump...
beowulf replied to JerseyShawn's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I don't remember the exact jump number, but I had about 500 jumps at the time. A late evening jump that really was a night jump out of a 182. I should have figured out early that things weren't going well when I got out on the step first, looked down and saw nothing but clouds. Oh well, I figured we have GPS so the spot is probably good. Once under canopy I found myself directly over the top a small city and I had no idea where the dropzone was! Oh shit where do I land? Lots of lights and darkness! I finally did locate the dropzone and there was no chance of making it back. But I managed to remember that there was empty land accross from a high school that I passed on the way to the dropzone. At least that is what I had remembered! Wasn't 100% on that, but went with it. Since it seemed like the best option at the time. Turned out it was soccer field! That was an exciting jump!
