You can always learn to pack parachutes to supplement your income. This has helped many people afford skydiving.

I never said Evolution was proof of anything. It's a theory of how we came to be here.
-
The Creation is not "spiritual proof." Creation isn't proof of a god or any god. How everything came to be here is unknown. Evolution is one theory which can be tested. God is a supposition that can not be tested and verified.

Pajarito Spirtual proof is not proof of anything. Try taking that into court and you will lose. If doesn't work with the requirements of a laboratory then it isn't proof or evidence of anything.

And there has yet be evidence or proof of the existence of any god.
-
Proving God's existence is easy. It doesn't even require religion or faith. Oh ok Then please prove the existence of a god any god.

I did not say that his beliefs are less important than mine. What I meant was that belief in what is true is more important than simply what something might mean to me. Since you cannot prove there is even a god out there then there is no way to know if what you believe is true or not.

How long does an idea of somthing have to be around for it to be proof of itself? -

Well I can't argue with that. I have never heard anything resembling god speaking to me. From what I have read of your posts you seem very naive. Good luck with your broken leg. -
The other thing that really bugs me about Christians is that they believe the Bible to be God's word simply because it states so in the Bible. In that case I am going to write my own book and make myself God the almighty. That way a thousand years from now people will believe me just because I wrote it down in a book and buried it in the sand. The Bible is just a book written by men a long time ago. People back then attributed everything they didn't understand to gods. As time has moved on we learn more and more about the world we live in and attribute less and less to gods. I am not sure that the writers of the Bible really believed that God instructed them to write the Bible, but I do believe that the men who put the writings together to form what we call the Old Testament and the New Testament did so in order to create a book that would give them more control over the masses that believed in God. Why do people believe in God or gods? I think it is out of fear. Fear of the unknown. Fear of death. They can't handle not knowing the answers to everything. God or gods fill in the gaps. It explains what happens after you die. How we came to be here. Why we are here.

There you go stating things not proven as "evidence". Just because it says so in the Bible doesn't mean it was so. There is nothing outside of the Bible to support this. We don't know what Jesus did, we only know what the Bible says he did and that can not be verified. I didn't bring that up you did when you quoted the Bible as proof of the existence of God. Then I have no reason to believe in the Christian God. I disagree with this. The conscience is a product of upbringing. It differs from person to person. If it really is evidence of God then why isn't it the same from person to person? Creation is not evidence either. Just because we don't know how we got here exactly doesn't mean there is a god that created everything.

Let’s compare… Manuscript Evidence Historical Accuracy Archaelogical Accuracy Reliability all of that is immaterial when using it as evidence of the existence of God or gods. I didn't question any of the historical accuracy or that any of the place described in the bible exist. None of that proves that the Christian God exists. Just like the Odyssey and the Illiad don't prove that the Greek gods exist. Just because someone wrote a story about a god that they believe in, in a historical context does not mean that the god they are writing about exists. If the bible is proof of the existence of the Christian God then the Odyssey and the Illiad are proof of the existence of the Greek gods.

Computer help - Server out of space - Add to partition
beowulf replied to kansasskydiver's topic in The Bonfire
Get an external hard drive or multiple drives and back up everything to both tape and the drives so that you have two copies. The redo the server the way you want it to be and put everything back. No matter what you do make sure you back everything up. -
Does that make Homer's Odyssey and Illiad evidence of the Greek god's?
-
No. But plenty of credible eye-witnesses were. None that you can speak to or interview. ONLY ONE written account that can not be verified.
-
Plenty evidence. Just evidence that you reject. If there were evidence then there would be no need for faith. Your "evidence" didn't qualify in any way as evidence. You might want to look up the definition of evidence.

If God made you up to His standards, you’d be just like God. We are all responsible moral agents. You commit sin. The “God made me do it” defense wouldn’t work in a court room and it won’t work for you on Judgment Day. All these claims, yet no evidence to support any of them.

Well considering that she won't even reply to any of the posts made here it's unlikely she will post pictures. -
considering your DZ.com name it was probably the naked part that did it.

It is amazingly selfish and self centered to believe there is an all powerful invisible being looking out for your interest, yet ignoring all the starving and less fortunate people around the globe. -
