    That is way too ambiguous. One instructors judgment of some ones ability to make good decisions would not be the same as some one else. Also a history of good judgment doesn't guarantee a future of good judgment.

    very very good point. but, many many jumpers do NOT have good judgement...therefore, they must be told how to act (land their canopy) to avoid killing others. And my point would be "WHY ARE THEY JUMPERS?!" How would you ban people with poor judgement from skydiving?!

If you want your lawyer to tell the right lies to get you out of whatever mess your in you want him to be well informed. In order for your doctor to treat you correctly he also needs to be well informed.

    When I started jumping, I dreamed about one day having a 1000 jumps and being really good at this skydiving thing. Now after having passed the 1000 mark earlier this year I still struggle with this freeflying thing that I chose to pursue. While I have seen a lot of progress from when I had 500 to now, it still feels like I need another 1000 jumps to get this all figured out. Every time I make a mistake and screw up a jump it just means I need another 1000 jumps to get it right. Guess I will be jumping for a long time.

    You don't know anything about skydiving and you want to create legislation that affects skydiving. If you don't think Ted was a victim then why would you want to seek legislation? He died because of his own choices. Those fatalitys and accidents were not necessarily caused by a "irresponsible few". They were just accidents. Accidents happen.

    I don't do any RW video. Right now I freefly only. I find it easier to just focus on one discipline at a time. I can't say much about RW, but in freeflying I don't have a special suit for video. In freeflying I don't video from above the formation like they do in 4 way. I am generally on the side of formation. Video can be a big distraction. If I were you I would decide on one specific aspect to work on and concentrate on that. The interesting thing with video is that you get tangible evidence of just how good a video flyer you are. If you suck then the video will show it.

    What kind of video are you looking to do? Freeflying or RW? I have a 2k Composites FF2 that I have been really happy with. I started jumping a camera at around 500 to 600 jumps and have worn it on nearly every jump since then. Remember it's not so much about the suit as it is about how good you are at flying your body. The better you can fly your body the better your video will be.

    I would be ok with that, as long as they also enacted a CCW law allowing people to legally carry concealed weapons and anyone caught illegally carrying a weapon would go to prison for 3 and half years.

    Hope it works out for you. Try not to get yourself killed or seriously injured. Getting in a hurry to get good at swooping has killed more then one person.

    I do about 20 to 30 jumps a month occaisionally more. last year I did 327 jumps, this year doesn't look so good due to weather. I should do at least 200 probably close to 300 depending on how the weather goes.

    Virus scans can occaisonally use a lot of resources. It could screw up your video editing if it started scanning while you are trying to render to vob or avi file.

    I was about a year uncurrent once,but I never considered doing a tandem for currency. You just need to relax once you get out of the plane it will be just like you never stopped jumping.

    It doesn't matter how much fabric is out if you are moving fast enough at the firing altitude for an AAD then it will fire. You might want to rethink your statement.

    He most likely didn't intend to wound the theif. I just don't see the theif standing still for him to aim at his leg.
