  1. that's cool as hell. i'm sure you'll like that job better than most.
  2. dude, that does kinda suck. i'd leave. come to the state while the jumps are still cheap (or cheaper) later
  3. ya, my dzo has been talking about haveing to put a "ser charge" on top of the regualar jump prices. like they still will be 20 bucks, but then have like a dollar or 2 dollar ser charge, now this will only happen if the gas prices go way up, and she's not making at least 3 (or was it 5) bucks a head. i'm not too worried, i'll still have my free 30 a month, and then if i make more than that i get them at a large discout (then + the ser charge if there is one). if you are saying WTF about now, and wondering how i'm getting this PM me. later
  4. i see how it is, you want us to have the bad karma for the bad vibes i see how it is. later
  5. well, if you get BOC, i like the cordura, for those butt landings (my knee hurts a lot, and i sometimes just don't feel like running out a landing), but there is nothing wrong with a spandex pouch i recomend pull out, but that's just because i really like it, with the current rigs today, there is little advantage. and as to articulated or not, i'd say go articulated, makes the rig much better. more comfortable, and the resale value goes up. later
  6. that's cool, i'm sure the family is very happy. later
  7. well, i'll send good vibes to you, but i can't send the bad ones. sorry. oh, and this is my 1000 post, so i'm a real loser now and have no life. later
  8. cool lookin pants man. i have a friend that want to get a tatto of the logo. later
  9. ya, the jump numbers are right. and he has a pretty good wing loading on it too, like 1.7 or 1.8. but kevin is a different breed of jumpers. i think he can be ok with this canopy. he won't be the best for a while, and it will take him longer to learn it, but that just means he'll have it longer. but he has half a brain, so he should be ok. as long as he doesn't try anything stupid now, am i saying this was the right choice for kevin, no. if he would of gotten the next size up (like a 125 or 130) he would of been a better canopy pilot in the long run. but i will hopefully be able to help kevin out some this season, and hope he will ask as many question as he needs to the people that have experience. so kevin, you know i had to give you some shit later
  10. the pilot is the same as a hornet the vision is the same as the heatwave and the solo would be like a skymaster, student canopy the Amax would be a step above a heatwave/stilleto, but still below a crossbraced (IE crossfire 2 range) i heard Call Ralph may still have some in stock. later
  11. my handles are the same color, but they are blue, and my harness is black, and the handles have neon yellow wings logo on them. so they stand out against my harness. and my jumpsuit is black. later
  12. if you were visiting, you the british repack would apply, but since you moved back, and in your other post it was packed here anyway, so it sounds more like you were visiting there for a while. so the 120 day repack cycle apply's. and someone, correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think i am. later
  13. yes, until september. so if your close, or just starting this year, try to get 200 jumps by that date. also, that s&ta at my dz thinks the instructer ratings will go to C licence. so it will still be 200 jumps. i don't know all the detail, and it is just speculation, so don't ask me, because i don't know later
  14. have to make it clicky http://www.uspa.org/CurrentMembers/SafetyTraining/STNews080102.doc from december http://www.uspa.org/CurrentMembers/SafetyTraining/STNews122702.DOC later
  15. hey, i think u for got cypress with my cypress batteries . well until u replace em anyway, or give me a check for a set does mike have it set up yet. later
  16. how big of a canopy do u want to build?? and i am thinking i may be able to get some pretty cheap, or not a bad price. we used to order material from PISA all the time. so, if i can still get some of that from my buddy, it would be better. it wouldn't be that slick crap. later
  17. i guess i could always do that. get another opinion. later
  18. what's up. let me give ya a little backround on my knee. like a year ago, i was jumping a heatwave 120 and a 97 vengence on and off (the vengences wasn't mine). and on one jump, i went up, and hooked, and hooked the vengence at the same altitude i hooked my heatwave. needless to say, i hit, HARD. at my dz we had 100 ft in diameter pea gravel, and i hit on one side, and when i hit again, i was on the other side with a wrap and a half a line twist. and i didn't break anything (i don't think, everyone else did, but i wouldn't go to the hospital). but my knee has always hurt a little since then. then, back in november, i was down in zhills, and i went up, and on a landing i must of twisted my knee a little, at the time, i didn't notice it. but when i got back to the hotel that night it really hurt, worse than what it ever had before. so, i went to the docter when i got back home (i still jumped for the rest of the week, just wraped up my knee, and slid in on my ass), but i didn't go until like end of december. but the DR. told my to stay off of it as much as possible for 2 weeks, and gave me some anti inflamitory's (sp?). and i listened, and got done with the prescription. and it's still hurting. now, he told my i didn't tear anything when he was twisting and bending my knee all around, but i'm not sure why it still hurts. and the same docter told my mom she had nothing wrong, but when she got a MRI, she had a torn miniscis (sp??) and something else. so, what do you think. should i go, or not. later
  19. no, but i wish i was. i really want to. i was supposed to go to the qualifier last week or 2 weeks ago, but i wasn't able to make it to FL. damn, i wish i didn't have this damn school crap, i'd be there. later
  20. that's fine with me. i haven't posted in one anyway. i think it's a dumb idea to go to war. later
  21. me and my buddy eddie were going a whild back. i thought it would of been fun. we were going to build a crossed braced tri cell (funny enough, before germain had his idea out for public ). i was talking to my buddy at PISA, now aerodyne, dominic, and then we got caught up with our dumb 4 way team, and said screw it. maybe this season we could build one kevin.
  22. cool pics. thanks for sharing. later
  23. there tends to be a lot of people complaining about hard openings on the cobalts they jump. but also a lot that say they're great. so it sounds like the company is very inconsistant building canopies. as to customer service, i haven't had a problem when i was wanting to jump a 85 comp. and when i did, i put 2 jumps on it, and hated it. bad opening, and not the kind of hook i wanted, didn't dive much. later
