yea it was a bad spot, and had to land out the dzo's house (right at the end of one of the runways) and i was carving around her tree, and thought there were power lines that went over my head for some odd reason, so i decided to shut my canopy down early, and slid on my ass. and then i got up and realized there were not power lines later

precision used to have a material that looked kind of tie-dyed. but i don't think it was. you saw a lot of batwings with them. you can see the material a bit in the pic on precisions web site of the monarch. the pic is kind of fuzzy, but you can get the idea. http://aerodynamics.com/top/monarch.htm later

the biggest turn i've busted out was a 1080 (3 360's) and other than just looking scary to everyone, it didn't do any good. my swoop wasn't any longer. i used to do consistant 540's or 720's. i really got into the 540's there for while. there just fun to do. but they are harder to judge where you are going to come out, i could get pretty close most of the time, but i don't think i could hit a gate every time doing one. but with a nice smooth 270, it is much easier to judge a gate hight that you need to go through. and i have stopped doing all the big turns so i could really dial in my 270's..........ok not completely, i still bust one out every once in a while, like a sunset load when everyone is watching later

Drive to another Dz just because they have a Pond?
skygod7777 replied to Rdutch's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
i defintally would, and have. i so wish my dz had a pond, and hopefully we can get one by the end of this year, but i don't think it will happen. later -
yea i have one of those, i've beat that poor helmet to hell. it's got holes drilled all over it from different camera's that i've put on it. and it's still holding strong. the only downside to that helmet is that it has an external audiable mount. i lost one protrack from an external mount once (not the bonehead a nevertigo) but it still is a very nice helmet. later

well it will be a few days before i get a pic of it. my dad and his gf are in las vegas for a week, and they took the camera. but i can say it looks fuckin sweet and feels great under canopy too. later
