The GoFundMe has been shut down. There have been some posts that the trucks are running out of fuel, and the people are running out of food. Disabling a big truck is actually pretty simple. Cut the red air line to the trailer and the brakes are not releasing. The driver could unhook and leave the trailer, but that's not a likely option for many of these folks. Alternatively, they could take a page from the US response to the Jan 6 insurrection attempt. Let them leave. Take down all the plate numbers (and other identification) and issue a warrant for them. The lockdowns were a short term solution. Nobody with an understanding of what they did and how they worked expected them to be a long term thing. The costs outweighed the benefits fairly quickly. One reason the supply chain is so screwed up is that many factories in China are having problems making stuff when the workforce is regularly locked down. While it is true that 'both parties have problems', that's a pretty standard "both-siderism". To pretend that 'both sides' have similar problems is pretty silly. One party is having issues getting everyone on board for legislative issues. The other party is being heavily investigated for trying to overturn the presidential election. One party is having trouble getting people to follow the protocols to manage the pandemic (and its not even slightly funny that the people whining and crying the loudest about Biden's handling of it are the ones petulantly refusing to do anything he asks). The other party has members blatantly flouting those protocols. When one party has Nazis, the KKK and white supremacists on it's side, they aren't the 'good guys'.
