  1. Interesting article. Look at the level of press Brett Farve is getting for this. Compare it with the level of press Michael Vick got for his dog fighting/abuse. Or the level or press Colin Kaepernick got for kneeling. Wonder why that is. What could possibly be the difference between Farve & the other two? Hmmm... https://deadspin.com/the-media-needs-to-treat-brett-favre-like-it-did-michae-1849568848?utm_campaign=Deadspin&utm_content=1663875005&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR3f3TgSF2AzIxTY-OL_YAqTkbn_H57e0hY01WhUEUjHjA7RbbxwRw7aXZc
  2. Back to the immigrant thing: Imagine 50 people at a MAGA rally being told they were going to be taken to Mar A Lago, but then flying them to Venezuela instead.
  3. Found a really interesting piece about why arguing with the 'alt-right' or 'Trumpettes' doesn't work. Short version: They present their side. Then they present a falsified and distorted version of what THEY WANT YOUR SIDE TO BE. The fact that 'their version of your argument' has nothing to do with reality is not important. https://www.salon.com/2021/07/18/why-its-almost-impossible-to-argue-with-the-right/
  4. The MAGA morons will call that 'fake news'. And vote for him. Ron himself pretty much said he doesn't care what a person is or has done, as long as he toes the party line.
  5. Can make? No. I'd bet fairly heavily that there are a number of rubber companies that are capable of making them. Does make? Apparently so. We always have to remember that we are a very small market. Even something like rubber bands, that almost everyone uses, would be a very, very small part of what a rubber factory makes.
  6. To be honest, I'd probably vote for either of them over Biden. And definitiely over Trump.
  7. Very true. Please show me some sort of indication that ANY of the people shipped either by DeSantis or the Mayor of El Paso had been refused asylum and had either stayed or returned illegally.
  8. Sure did. What's the difference? Ukrainian 'refugees' are fleeing to Europe, in fear for their lives. South and Central American 'asylum seekers' are fleeing their homes, in fear for their lives. In either case, they enter the country without prior authorization (visa), present themselves to the immigration authorities, fill out the paperwork and are allowed to stay LEGALLY.
  9. Nope. You are wrong. From the US Citizenship and Immigration services website: The word 'permitted' means they have 'permission' to live here while their case is processed. https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-and-asylum/asylum What's the difference between an 'asylum seeker' and a 'refugee'? Its funny that you blame the government. Any time ANYONE proposes any sort of change to the immigration rules, the alt-right scream "AMNESTY" from the rooftops until the Rs torpedo it.
  10. So what? There are illegals attempting to cross all the time. Many get caught and sent back. Those that get caught don't get sent to other places in the US, regardless of what Fox 'news' and the other idiots tell you. The people being transported to other places (both legally from El Paso and illegally from Texas by DeSantis) are asylum seekers.
  11. Facts? Reality? Oh piffle. Next you'll tell me that 'demoncrats' aren't sacrificing children to harvest their adrenochrome. Or that "A Storm" isn't 'Coming' Or that Trump didn't play the "Q" theme song (WWG1WGA) at a rally the other day. Oh... Wait. That really happened. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/09/19/trump-qanon-conspiracy-theories/
  12. The mayor of El Paso communicated with the leadership at the destinations he was bussing the immigrants to. Unlike Abbot & De Santis. And they ARE NOT ILLEGAL!!!! They are applying for asylum. Do you not understand the difference? https://www.newsweek.com/texas-democrat-mayor-defends-busing-migrants-out-state-we-help-them-1744010
  13. You aren't just figuring this out NOW, are you?
  14. Wasn't expecting anyone else to pay. I've been on here long enough that I should know better.

    Q

I don't know if that's supposed to be sarcasm or not. But you're right. See Ron's reply in #1670. He doesn't care who Walker is. Or what he is. Just that 'he'll vote Republican'. Nevermind the fact that the Rs want to gut Medicare (Ron's health insurance), Social Security (Ron's income) and the VA (Ron's alternate health insurance). I do believe the phrase "cutting off one's own nose to spite one's face" would apply here.
  16. I should know better than to open a response from you while taking a sip of my coffee. Now I need to clean my screen. Thanks dude.
  17. Yup. Got there first, was called '#1'.
  18. As far as harness sizing goes, there won't be a whole lot of difference. Maybe the laterals, that go from the main lift web to the lower sides of the container. But the yoke (shoulder width) and main lift web (height from hips to shoulders) shouldn't change. The leg straps might change a bit, depending on how much thigh diameter goes. The good part about that is that the only thing that would need to change is the pads, not the actual leg straps. This is something I would ask the manufacturer. They know the most about it. They are usually pretty good at answering this sort of thing. The the thing that might be a bigger issue is the pack tray size. The size of canopy it would hold. You are likely to want to downsize as you progress. Maybe not down to the 'handkerchief' sized stuff for hardcore canopy piloting, but down to 1:1 or maybe a bit higher wingloading (1.2-1.5). Big enough to be reasonably forgiving of errors, but small enough to be a bit 'sporty' and to penetrate into a bit of headwind. Just my $0.02, worth what you paid for it (maybe). Again, the manufacturers would be the best source of info for this. Good luck.
  19. On the plus side, Trump no longer in office means that he can't block aid to Puerto Rico after it gets hit. On the minus side, he won't be able to go and toss rolls of paper towels to the crowd.

    Q

So you now support a guy who fathered multiple children 'out of wedlock' and refused to support one of them? And, of course, you believe Trump has a 'chance' to beat the 'enemy'. Because he tells you so. His lies, his crimes, his complete and utter evilness have no effect on your support. Because he hates the same people you do.
  21. Yeah. If you're pregnant, it's because 'God wanted it that way'. If you're impotent, then use EVERY SINGLE BIT OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY to regain your boner.
  22. The local morning radio guys have a weekly 'award' called 'Weenie of the Week'. Guess who 'won' this week? Despite being basically a 'god' for a long time in Wisconsin, Farve lost a LOT of his fans when he played for the Vikings. This didn't help much. https://www.wapl.com/2022/09/17/weenie-of-the-week-9-16-22-five-million-reasons-4-being-a-weenie-audio/ The text is good, but for the full effect, listen to the audio.
  23. Unfortunately, most Trumpettes and hardcore Right wingers seem to be sociopaths. Or at least display strong sociopathic tendencies. They enjoy seeing other people get hurt. Especially when it's 'them' getting hurt (minorities, immigrants, Muslims, 'liberals').
  24. Yeah, the lying about Covid, attacking the people trying to accurately report the stats of it, attempting to shame kids who chose to wear masks, outlawing mandates, all that shit. He's been a full blown scuzzbucket for a damned long time.
