Yes, I support Zelinsky and the Ukrainian military. The claim that they are Nazi's is Russian propaganda. The Azov battalion has some far right wing idiots in it. They don't represent the entire military. Do you support the idea that the Russians summarily executed anyone with a tattoo they didn't like? Would you have supported the governor of Florida if he was a Democrat?

Why do you keep lying?

I don't. Why do you lie about stuff?

May’s Global Temperature coldest in 9 years

Do you actually expect 'better data' from someone who refuses to answer whether or not he's praise a Democrat in a position of power for the response to a disaster? Especially after giving huge praise to the guy who voted against relief funds for the Northeast after they had a huge storm? Fun fact: Florida's Republican senators sent a letter begging for money in the wake of the storm. THEY DAY AFTER they both voted against funding for... Storm relief. Data to support my claim: https://news.yahoo.com/florida-senators-request-more-federal-181521091.html -
You ask about financial gain, he throws 'Nazi tattoos' at you. You don't really expect a straight answer to your question, do you?

Oh please. It's no different than his random shit about nano-thermite.

Well, they have a bunch of gasoline on board. You know that stuff is kinda flammable, don't you professor? Fun fact: Internal combustion engines are not even 25% efficient at thermal efficiency. That is, much of the energy in gasoline is wasted as heat (or other things) in a car, rather than creating motion. To get an understanding of how powerful (and potentially dangerous) gasoline is, figure out the fuel economy of a car. Then push that car FOUR TIMES that distance. That's what a gallon of gas can do.

It's not. Viruses don't care (they don't actually have a brain, so they CAN'T care). But there is a rather large differential between people who are/were smart enough to adopt measures to reduce their chances of getting infected and those who weren't People who did things like: Staying away from others. Wearing masks. Getting vaccinated. Did far, far better than people who: Thought taking precautions was 'living in fear'. Thought masks were 'controlling'. Thought large gatherings were 'freedom' (freedumb). Thought the vax was unnecessary (poison, microchipped, loss of freedumb, ect). Seriously, the idiocy of the people who absolutely refused to take Covid seriously is appalling. The number of 'adult 3 year olds' is frightening. The level of defiant oppositional disorder is seriously scary. The number of people who are simply selfish assholes who refuse to give a shit about anyone else is... Getting smaller. About 400 a day. A bit over 3/4 of them are unvaxxed. That works out to about 145000 per year (about 108k unvaxxed). And while the political divide is pretty clear, I'm only targeting 'stupid people'. The fact that they tend to be Trump supporters says a lot about him... And them. But that wasn't my point.

Scrolled down from that one. Found this one: I wouldn't mess with that cat. No way.

Part of me can't believe people are dumb enough to believe this garbage. But only part. The rest of me has spent the last 2 1/2 years watching morons, fools and gullible idiots refuse to believe Covid is real, refuse to take any protective measures, refuse the vax... And die. By the thousands.

Don't forget that a bit over 2 years after Trump was elected, a plague swept over the entire world.

Don't forget that before the invasion, the US said that Putin was going to do something very similar to justify the invasion. Since it was widely publicized, Putin didn't bother trying. I don't know if the Russians have tightened up their communications security enough that the US wouldn't know if they planned something like this, but I'd hope that we'd have advanced warning of it. It's been hinted in the media that US intelligence has been useful in Ukraine taking back all the territory they have.

If Putin uses NBC, his chances for survival go down. Both for him personally and for Russia as a whole. I'd think he's well aware of this. His use of them would be far more of a 'final fuck you' than attempting to survive. As I noted earlier, I'm HOPING that the people in charge of actually activating the NBC stuff realize this and either refuse (very dangerous) or have 'technical issues' that prevent them from using them (still dangerous, but less so).

Pfffft. The train isn't late. The train can't be late. The clock is fast.

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers

No, silly. They've largely given up on the 'emails' outrage. It's hard to be outraged at the 'other side' for doing exactly what your guys do. So now it's "But Hunter's LAPTOP!!!!!!" -
Everyone rides down. Opening the door with a loose pilot chute, main or reserve canopy is REALLY stupid.

All the way back to Reagan here in the US. Not sure if that qualifies as 'classic', but there's a pretty good history (short term) of it.

Interesting that Ukraine is offering favorable surrender terms. I have a feeling they're going to end up with 'just a few' takers for that. Wagner group is apparently recruiting prisoners (like convicts in Russian prisons). Offering decent pay, amnesty for the crimes that landed them in prison and promises that war crimes committed in Ukraine wouldn't be punished. There are reports that some of them are simply finding a Ukrainian to surrender to as soon as they get there. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/sep/20/russia-recruits-inmates-ukraine-war-wagner-prigozhin Different article on the same subject: https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/wagner-group-russia-prisoners-captured-ukrainian-forces Interesting that the article claims that many Wagner fighters are "renowned for their far-right views and Slavic nationalism." Funny how many of the Russian trolls want us to believe that the Ukrainians are all "Nazis and fascists", when it seems like the Wagner group mercenaries share some of those same traits.

I think its a lot more that he's not been told 'no' in a long time. So he doesn't understand when he cannot get something done. We saw this in the US, with the run up to the Iraq invasion. Everyone who had a contrarian view was ignored, dismissed or attacked (at least Cheney didn't directly kill anyone). As a result, real information that the WMDs didn't exist was suppressed, the pretext for the invasion was sold to the population and the next decade was a shitshow of death and destruction in Iraq. Putin is ignoring, dismissing or murdering anyone who disagrees with him. So legitimate concerns or criticisms are not getting through. He's become the 'emperor with no clothes' ('no army' for Putin), and he's not being told he can't win anymore. The Russian army is going to be decimated, Russia won't really be a 'world power', Putin will likely get the 'full Mussolini' at some point. The 'wild card' is the nukes they have. I have little doubt that Putin will try to use them when he has no other options left. I can only hope that the Army officers who have the actual control over them have he willingness and ability to resist using then when Putin tells them to.

Pfft. It's not that we can't 'afford' it. Even at its height, welfare cost a tiny fraction of the defense budget. It's that the right wing wanted to vilify and punish all the 'lazy welfare queens'. And their kids.
-
Will they provide funds until the kids are all 18? That's how it used to be here. There were (a few) people who would have a kid every few years, so that they always had one or two under 18. They were the ones vilified by the right. I also don't remember all the details, but the reforms took the 'forever' concept away. Again, benefits limited to a couple years for each kid and also a lifetime limit (a bit longer, but not a whole lot).

FB friend took his Tesla to the drag strip. Posted a pic of the time slip. 1/4 mile 8.755 ET, 157.28 mph. The list of ICE cars that can do a sub-9 second quarter is very short.
-
Not sure what the rules are in Canada for this, but here in the US, there were significant limits placed on it back in the 90s. I don't know personally, but my understanding is that there are both work requirements and time limits (both situational and lifetime) for receiving benefits.

Not sure what it means when North Korea distances themselves from you, but it CAN'T be good. Although, there are sanctions in place that prohibit this, so there would be consequences if they admitted that they were really doing it. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-62873987

Don't the right make a huge emotional issue about 'welfare queens'? There are a couple on here who routinely vilify people who 'spend their whole lives collecting welfare' (which cannot happen any more). Farve's football career was over a decade ago. He's kept a pretty low profile since then.
