Well, after all, Trump was Putler's little bitch. He publicly stated how much of a genius Putler was right after the invasion. The first impeachment was for trying to withhold funds for the Ukrainian military. Pretty sure 'lay back and enjoy it' is what Trump would have said to Ukraine.

This is awesome: Tennessee state Democratic Representative Vincent Dixie seemed to agree with that assessment, wondering on Twitter if Lee was a minor when the photo was taken. Link: https://secondnexus.com/governor-lee-drag-photo-billboards?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR2yrnUi4f6gZTV1rRW4H5UY_F2DD-TyE3qBjLwzVptUFbdaORSF-17-6Fs#Echobox=1678548887 So the Governor of Tennessee, who recently signed a law prohibiting drag events where minors might be present, participated in a drag event... Where minors were present. So a fella decided to make this a bit more public, crowd funded a couple billboards. So the Governor, in drag, will be on billboards around Nashville.

Drag queens... CRT... Woke... They gotta have their strawmen to provoke fear in the fools.

You expect Brent to post anything factually accurate? You aren't that gullible, are you?
-
You post a video from Alex Cristoforu and talk about 'propaganda induced denial'?

Lots of people regretted not getting the vaccine. You just don't hear from them much. Because dead people can't complain. A simple search found this: https://jeff-jackson.medium.com/46-stories-about-people-who-regret-not-getting-the-vaccine-c7059080d1e6

That would also be appropriate. I can think of a few others. On FB chat, there is 'love' (red heart), laugh, wow, cry, mad and 'thumb up' as standard responses. You can pick more, but you have to go find them. I'm just thinking of the standard ones for this.

I know the site went through an upgrade recently, but it would be nice if we had multiple options for 'liking' a post. The 'laugh' emoji would come in handy for the trolls.

You know when Defense Minister Lavrov said that Ukraine started the war at the G20 conference, the entire audience laughed at him, right? And which country has oligarchs with huge mansions, all over the world. While the military has virtually nothing. Russia isn't retreating because Ukraine hasn't launched any offensives... Yet. Spring is coming. And I have to laugh that Russia shot 6 of their 'hypersonic' missiles at Ukraine. At $100 million + each, that's over HALF A BILLION dollars worth of missiles. Just to kill less than a dozen civilians (a war crime) and shut down the power for a few hours (also a war crime). The missile & drone attacks have decreased significantly of late. Probably because Russia is running out of stuff to shoot. That's one probable reason they are using very expensive ordnance for purposes they were not intended.

Oh please. He should go for the big bucks and get a spot as a commentator on Fox.

Well, currently there's nearly 1000 orcs per day dying. Far fewer Ukrainian soldiers. The Russians are targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure with their 'unbeatable' hypersonic missiles (they are not invincible, its just that the advanced anti-aircraft stuff isn't widespread in Ukraine, and the orcs are making sure they target 'easy' stuff to look tougher). One thing that has been targeted multiple times is the power grid near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Station. They've managed to cut power to it several times. Without external power, cooling the nuclear pile becomes a problem (this is what happened at the Fukushima plant after the earthquake). Fortunately, they have adequate backup generators, and the 'power line guys' have done an excellent job restoring the power quickly every time its cut. They've been doing this all over, the whole time. Russia is doing so well that they are purchasing drones from Iran. Likely offering nuclear technology & information in exchange. You keep claiming there should be negotiations. Why? Putler signed an agreement to respect Ukraine's 1991 bounaries. He tore it up and wiped his ass with in in 2014, when Ukraine decided to throw out his minion. He can't be trusted. Period. You keep claiming that Ukraine is 'laundering money'. Got any proof? (yeah, I know, asking a troll for proof is silly) Most of the 'aid' is actually equipment. And there have been some pretty strict protocols put in place to make sure it goes where it's supposed to (and it does just that). OTOH, the Russians managed to loot their own military to enrich the 'elites'. Food money was stolen, the orcs went on their 'adventure' with rations that were YEARS out of date. Same with the tires on the wheeled vehicles. One of the more recent funny facts. The Russians have lost so many tanks, destroyed, captured or simply abandoned that they are pulling 50+ year old equipment out of storage. Or trying to. Many (like a lot) are missing important parts. Optical equipment, like gunsights. Electronic equipment, like radios, night vision, targeting & stabilization computers. And engines. You know, the big thing that makes the tank move. Many are completely gone. Removed. Stolen and sold. Just like everything else that isn't nailed down in the Russian army. Looted & sold to make people rich.

If we had universal health care, rental subsidies and child care subsidies, minimum wage would suffice for most people.

Right. Russians have been 'about to surround' Bakhmut since... August. There are multiple reports that the Russians attacking Bakhmut are using... Shovels. Because they are out of ammunition for their rifles. You know, the rifles that were designed... 130 years ago. More reports that those '200,000' new 'soldiers' are dying days after being inducted. Not 'days after arriving at the front'. Not 'days after graduating training' (they aren't getting any of that). In some cases, 10 days after reporting for induction, they are dead at Bakhmut. The videos of the Ukranians slaughtering the orcs are plentiful. Warning: Graphic video, NSFW.

You aren't new here. You know perfectly well that's how he operates.

They've been making decoys out of plywood since they first started getting the HIMARS. Even with the insanely high cost of building materials, it's still a good tradeoff if Russia uses a multi-million dollar Kaliber missile to attack one.

Post trump Legal Actions, Including his Enablers

Was that the actual target of the investigation? The person who would be facing the charges the Grand Jury would submit? Or a person with information the Grand Jury wanted to hear (witness)? -

The Grand Jury process is weird. We don't have it in Wisconsin, so I'm not super familiar with it. But, generally, the target of the investigation is rarely subpoenaed. In this case, Trump has been ranting & raving about how it's a 'witch hunt' and the justice system is being 'weaponized' against him. So the Grand Jury has invited (yes, nicely asked him) to come and explain why he shouldn't be prosecuted. If he has 'super secret, earthshaking evidence' like he claims, he can go and tell them. If he's full of shit, as everyone in touch with reality understands, he won't. As noted in the articles, witnesses in the Grand Jury process are generally granted immunity for their testimony. That doesn't mean they can't be prosecuted, it just means that the particular testimony they give can't be used against them. It's why the 5th generally isn't an option for Grand Jury witnesses. Refusing to testify is considered contempt of court. That's one reason the target of the investigation is rarely subpoenaed. -
It's not only Conservatives mucking up our schools

The gerrymandering has allowed the Rs to dominate multiple states' legislatures. Wisconsin is one of them. Those Rs are passing all sorts of laws that push their agenda forward. There was a significant national victory against the fascists last fall. But it's only one. -
You've been preaching that it's the 'End Days' for as long as I can remember. Many, many, many others before you have predicted that 'the end is nigh'. Basically since the beginning of time. Remember Harold Camping? He's been dead over a decade. His predictions of "End Times" were a load of shit. Of course, he conned a LOTof people into doing some really stupid shit. I don't hate believers. I hate hypocrites. Those who claim to be 'washed in the blood of Christ', yet ignore his most basic teachings.

wolfriverjoe replied to JoeWeber's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, the original 'Articles of Confederation' that the country was founded on were tossed out after about a decade and replaced by the Constitution. Slavery was accommodated. Women were pretty much 'property'. And I'll disagree that neither party has a 'plan'. The Rs sure do. Gerrymander the shit out of the country so that they win more than they should. Pack the Supreme Court with their 'type', so that they get rulings on guns and abortion that they want. Destroy voting rights so that only the 'right' people get to vote. Marginalize minorities, both racial and LBGTQ. Destroy the education system, pretending that CRT & anal sex are taught in grade schools. They've done pretty damned good with it too. -
The only ones with a fixation on 'steering' or 'grooming' are the Right wing extremists. Adolescence is a time when kids have to figure out who and what they are. Much of that is in NO WAY a 'choice'. They can't be 'groomed' into being something they aren't. Letting them know that how they feel is ok, letting them know that they may or may not prefer the opposite sex, that they may not even be the gender they were born as, none of that is 'steering'. It's allowing them to be who they REALLY are. As has been asked a bunch of times, when did you (editorial 'you', not necessarily 'you' specifically) 'choose' to be heterosexual?

Among all the other interesting information to come out of Dominion's defamation lawsuit against Fox was the revelation that Murdoch & Fox provided Kushner & the Trump campaign confidential information about the Biden campaign's ads & ad strategy. A couple groups have filed complaints with the FEC that those constituted illegal campaign contributions to Trump. https://thehill.com/homenews/media/3885148-fec-complaints-filed-over-allegations-murdoch-gave-kushner-unaired-biden-political-ads-in-2020/ I wonder if the Biden campaign, or the agency that put the ads together is going to sue Fox for breach of contract. I'd guess there's standard confidentiality language in the contracts for the ads that sharing the info, especially with the opponent, is not allowed. -
To a large degree because the very wealthy have decided they don't want to support the rest of the country. Oversimplified, but accurate. It's the old 'oligarchs & wealthy land owners are not willing to pay their fair share because the poor and minorities benefit from it' story. So the far right has bought politicians with 'dark money' (thanks to Citizens United), Murdoch's media conglomerate has spread vitriolic, divisive propaganda, and the 'useful idiots' have embraced the ideology, ignoring the fact that it hurts them almost as much as it does 'those people'. Heather Cox Richardson writes a daily (more or less) article, tying historical issues with todays headlines. One thing she has beaten well past death (the cliched 'horse smoothie') is how similar we are now to the period just before the Civil War. When the wealthy Southern slave holders did everything in their power to hold on to their wealth & power. Including co-opting poor whites into fighting and dying for them. Without ever realizing they'd been conned. Not unlike the MAGA fools.

Don't forget that: 1 - Whelan was kicked out of the Marines for theft. He's not considered a 'veteran' by the government. He's not eligible for any veteran's benefits. 2 - Trump had the opportunity to trade Viktor Bout for Whelan. He just didn't care. He claimed that he didn't think it was a fair trade, but others in the administration said he simply couldn't be bothered with it.

He thinks she's a man. One of the stupidest assumptions going around. There's a LOT of really stupid crap going around right now, so being at the top of that list takes some effort. It's abundantly clear that Ron's views have ZERO to do with the actual teachings of Jesus. He's got that 'I accepted Jesus as my personal savior, so I'm cool doing whatever the fuck I want and I'm "saved"' bullshit going on. Conveniently forgetting Matthew 25:40.
