That's funny as all hell. There have been a number of investigations that showed the exact opposite of what that fool is claiming. But, after all, it's OANN. Alt-Right propaganda, straight from Putin's machine. 8645110320

There are reports that the shooter was suffering from cancer. So, in addition to disgruntled, unstable and axe to grind, he may have been on the way out anyway.

Well, given the fact that Trump supported Putin after he knew (or should have known) that Putin paid bounties for dead US soldiers, his Gestapo beating a veteran won't mean anything to him. -
Bolding mine. Yes. There were assholes at the "open up" rallies waving signs that said something to the effect of "my rights are more important than your health". When? There have always been assholes like that. Just like there have always been racists. However, the rise of the Mango Mussolini gave those people the willingness to crawl out of their caves and out from under their rocks and wave their Confederate flags around. Since Trump wants to pretend this isn't serious, that it will 'just go away', that the disease isn't dangerous, all of that shit; those idiots have taken it and decided they aren't in danger, they don't want to be inconvenienced, they 'aren't scared'. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between really brave & really stupid. Not in this particular case, but sometimes.

Yup. That's what the 1st A is for. It doesn't protect cute pics of cats (well, it does, but not too many people want those taken down). It protects speech that those in power find offensive. The part that gets me is how many folks hammer on Colin Kapernick for kneeling, or the 'left wing radicals' for burning a flag, yet display that 'blue line' flag, or the one where the stripes are replaced with the words to the Pledge. Their desecration of the flag isn't disrespectful. What others do is. Total hypocrisy.

The problem it that they are being told that the truth is "fake news". Over and over. And then being fed propaganda. They seem to have lost the ability to discern what the truth is. And those people can vote.

Well, a few more campaign rallies like Tulsa, and his support will drop a bit. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/08/us/politics/coronavirus-tulsa-trump-rally.html

Again, that depends on the laws where you live. And what happens. I can certainly pursue a fleeing burglar. But if during the pursuit, he stops & ambushes me and I use deadly force against him, then I will likely face charges. Because I chose to pursue him. In Wisconsin, George Zimmerman would likely have been convicted of some sort of homicide. Because he chose to insert himself in the situation. Several times. Note - Not trying to reignite this argument. Just using it as an example that many are familiar with.

Anybody else remember how the right wing folk lost their shit over the "Jade Helm" exercises during the Obama administration? Where are they now? -
Learn to PLF. Practice it a lot. Get good at it. I never cease to be amazed how hard of a landing I can walk away from with a proper PLF. Get a big canopy. Far more forgiving. Spend some time with an instructor or a good canopy pilot watching other people land. Discuss what they are doing right and wrong. Get a good idea of what the various heights look like. A flight of steps or a ladder can put you at the proper height to begin a flare. Get that 'picture' clear in your head. Maybe do a tandem or two, with an instructor who is willing to work with you on the flare 'picture' and timing. Don't forget to have fun.

Green new deal equals magical thinking

Coal itself isn't necessarily 'bad'. However, the virtually unlimited mining and use of it has some bad side effects. It will never go completely away. It will always have some usefulness. We just need to cut down on it's use. -
It's a 'gated community'. The streets are private property, owned & maintained by the HOA. Your choice. I don't agree with that technique, but if it works for you, ok. However, any bolt (rifle or shotgun) or even a pistol slide will make that sound. However, if you are under the influence, after 'getting hammered', plan on ''just a bit" of trouble. And again, take that shotgun out, set up a target (say the size of a door) at close range (say 10' or so) and see how it does.
-
Really? You're still trying to figure that out? I thought you were smarter than that.
-
Well, each tool has it's pluses & minuses. Pistols are faster & easier to swing in close quarters, easier to keep control of (harder for the 'bad guy' to grab), and leave one hand free for using a phone, turning on lights, ect. However, shooting one well takes a lot of practice. Rifles have actual 'stopping power', are menacing in appearance and are easier to shoot accurately than pistols. However the bullets tend to overpenetrate. It's very easy to accidentally shoot through a couple walls and kill someone you didn't want to. They also take two hands to operate. Shotguns are fairly easy to shoot, but have a lot of recoil. They don't overpenetrate. But if you think of it as a 'alley sweeper' that doesn't need to be aimed to hit a threat, then I strongly suggest you spend some range time seeing how it 'patterns'. Generally, even a shorter cylinder bore barrel has a pattern that only opens up a foot or so at 'inside the house' distances. And while the idea of 'the sound of the bolt slamming home' as a deterrent sounds good, the idea of not having a round chambered until confronting an opponent is pretty naive.

How many people have not been shot for not wearing a mask, but were instead either warned or cited? I have a funny feeling he was shot because he presented a threat (real or imagined) to the officers. Pence was in Wisconsin today. In his speech he touted the excellent job the Trump administration has done handling the pandemic. Apparently, there was a report presented on the 14th (3 days ago) that put 11 states in 'emergency' classification. It said that hose states should be rolling back the openings. That report was not made public.

Yes. I know the 'basic rules' as "TABK" with "A" being Always point the gun in a safe direction. He's actually following the 'K' (keep your finger out of the trigger guard until ready to shoot). But, as I noted, it looks to me like he's a couple of feet behind her. Not directly next to her. The pic makes it tough to tell, and I could certainly be wrong. And neither of them qualifies for anything remotely resembling 'good guy with a gun'. Entitled, racist, selfish, dangerous, criminal and a bunch of other things. Absolutely. Both of them repeatedly pointed their guns at people in the crowd. I'm not sure if he was pointing deliberately at specific people, but she certainly was at various times. And their 'muzzle discipline' was atrocious. That sort of behavior, what's called 'sweeping the person with the muzzle' will get you ejected from any range that takes safety seriously. And, in the beginning, I said that they would likely get away with it because they are rich & white. Apparently Trump feels that way too. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/07/15/trump-st-louis-mccloskeys/ Gotta love how people are sending messages to the black prosecutor wishing to 'see you hanging from a tree'.

We have 4% of the world's population. We have something like 25% of the cases & deaths. Most other countries have it more or less under control. Germany had something less than 600 new cases yesterday. The US hit another new record, over 70k new cases.

Because they're dipshits. The same ones that claim any criticism of the Mango Mussolini is 'Fake News'.

Not really. Incubation time, time to recognize & accept symptoms, get tested, get results back. Somewhere between 9 & 28 days. Mid-range of 17. It was 18 days after the event that Tulsa saw big spikes. This was at the longer end of the range. Coincidence? I think not.
