Skydiving helps Vet cope with PTSD
wolfriverjoe replied to martymac11's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Try searching "Freedom Freefall" and "HOOAH" (Helping Out Our American Heroes). They just had the annual event recently (Aug 15th). Maybe not the specific individual you want, but the same story is told a bunch of times. -
He's not on here any more. He threw a tantrum and posted some crap in Speaker's Corner that earned him a perma-ban. You might look for him on FB, but he hadn't jumped in quite a while. He kept saying that he wanted to get current and start jumping again, but the last I heard he hadn't. There was another deaf jumper, who did a lot of the orgainzing for the 'deaf way' stuff a while back. But he hasn't been on here in a long, long time. I can't even remember his user name.

Professor - You missed the one where Trump's buddy Putin poisoned his biggest critic, who is now in Germany getting real treatment at a hospital (not run by the same guy that poisoned him). The other 6 of the G7 have soundly criticized Putin. Trump has been unsurprisingly silent on the matter.

I agree that 1st A rights to peaceably assemble should't be suppressed just because they are outside of a certain house. However, there are going to be cops at just about any protest march. Anywhere. If nothing else, it's a deterrent to stupidity. Or the kind of agent provocateurs we saw in so many of the BLM violence.
-
Not entirely sure that even counts as 'one'. Has she encouraged or supported protesters outside the homes of elected officials in other places? For example, the protesters in St Louis (in the gated private community), or the ones that got arrested outside the home of the TN Atty General. I disagree with her fairly strongly. If someone runs for office, where their decisions affect that many people, they should understand that they might have folks outside their house, singing songs, waving signs and marching around. But for this to count a 'hypocrisy', I'd need to see some protests that she supported. Not just 'protests in general', in public places or outside public buildings. But outside the homes of elected officials.

So does anyone else remember the claim that "Q" interpreted Trump's tweets and speeches to 'find' the 'secret messages' inside them? Wonder how they are going to spin this?
-
Federal pardons apply to federal crimes. A Presidential pardon cannot be applied to state crimes. I think the NY State's Attorney General will have a few indictments to hand down. We shall see.
-
Sure you can. Even before any indictments. Even for 'unspecified crimes' ('any and all' is the term).
-
Well, the convention speaker list is pretty telling. The Ds had John Kasich and are reportedly planning on having Cindy McCain & Colin Powell. The Rs are reportedly planning on having Nick Sandmann (the MAGA hat kid from the DC protests) and the McCloskeys (the St Louis couple who 'defended' their property with guns).

There's always the 'ignore' function.
-
So you are against requiring ID for voting?

Remember the Florida sheriff who said he was going to deputize anyone who owned a gun during the BLM protests? And threatened to hunt down Godless BLM looters? Well, now he's facing three felony charges. Apparently, his wife found out about his long time mistress. And she (the wife) threatened to kill her (the mistress). When all three were at an event, the sheriff filed a stalking report against the mistress, who was arrested but not booked. Because the deputy who arrested her didn't think the charges were valid. So the sheriff is facing charges for tampering with evidence and lying to authorities. Oh, and by the way, the sheriff has multiple degrees... From Liberty University. They seem to do such a great job instilling those "Christian Values" in their graduates. https://friendlyatheist.patheos.com/2020/08/14/fl-sheriff-who-threatened-to-hunt-down-godless-blm-looters-faces-felony-charges/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook&fbclid=IwAR2uuvzLEtbGNgA5E4AnAwSgsxq2-mUEtUEmEFCTxWAgFieYbq91KtVjUjo

Vaccine makers have a large degree of immunity from lawsuits. Lots of pharma companies are trying to come up with a vaccine. The money will be huge.

waited 6 years only to realize.

I think West Tennessee still does 16 & 17 year olds. I know they used to. -
No worries on that. I find Fox to be a 'questionable' source, but not a 'garbage' one. I hadn't found anything where she questioned Q, or distanced herself from them at all.
-
Yeah. I just noticed it the other day. She had edited out a PA on a post. The bottom of the clearly censored post had the note "Edited by wmw999". I gotta say, there's been a need for another mod on here, and I can't think of someone who would be more even handed and reasonable. Congratudolences to Wendy.
-
Got a link for that? What I found seems to say that she's still a full blown QCumber. Funny thing, most of the GOP congresscritters are distancing themselves from her and her racist, extreme conspiracy ideas. Of course, Trump is behind her full power. If what you say is true, that she's abandoned Q and their crap, that would be funny. As in really hilarious. Ingenious too. Embrace the idiocy to get the idiots to vote for her in the primary, then dump them to get the moderate votes in the general.
-
Well, that's gonna piss off Trump.
-
Given Trump's history of attacking (in all sorts of ways) people who say nasty things about him, no.
-
I don't agree with that. I post what is in my heart and in my mind. I try to post in a thoughtful and reasonably intelligent manner (mostly, anyway). My posts represent my point of view. I don't post one thing on here and act or believe differently on other platforms or in the 'real world'. I think that many of the others posting on here are the same, including you. One of the things that is interesting about this place is that jumpers (both on here and in the 'real world') come from the entire spectrum of the socio-political world. Every position is represented. That isn't something I get on, say a 'car' or 'gun' forum. There are a few trolls on here who post just to get a reaction, just to stir shit up. Those are the ones I don't engage with.
-
Well, that belief has to extend to the idea that law enforcement is going after the 'right wing' folks accused of sex with minors, while blatantly ignoring those same crimes committed by the 'left'.
-
Good point. But I drive a Porsche Cayenne (or a 944 or a 928 or a motorcycle), and the only sticker I have is my USPA one.
-
Yes, I don't pretend to fully understand the process, but I understand the basics of ad targeting. I see a lot of Trump ads in my FB feed too. I just found it really funny.
-
Gotta love how the ad before the video was a "Trump for Pres" one.
-
Well, the QCumbers are going to have more to bitch about, but a harder time doing so. FB shut down one of the more popular (and populous) Q pages. https://www.bbc.com/news/amp/technology-53692545?fbclid=IwAR3BEFP3HHqqnm9GPQHprFe-R-pkk3Oj-mo_1HCepPAFTJzzkT5tgdP70Ps#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From %1%24s
