  1. Please GPS-track in studio! Otherwise "all hat and no cattle"! P.S. If you go at exit for any seconds headdown and after then to normal wingsuit-fly, Neptune fix only headdown-time for freefall and the time below for canopy flight.
  2. 25.000 ft (7620 m)... After this altitude Jarno needs only the liquid (oxygen) and warm pony
  3. Good news, but try in fisrt WS-jumps to focus you on safety. Good results comes in the next (and safety) jumps. Here you can see the target for next years: www.trackingderby.com/en/trace_view_2858_meters.php
  4. 5. International Wingsuit Competition "Wings over Marl 2009" When: 17-19 Juli 2009 Where: Marl, Germany (www.fallschirmsport-marl.de) Discipline: 1) Longest freefall time between 9900 ft (3000 m) and 6500 ft (2000 m), measured by Neptune, Sotware: Paralog, within 3 rounds. Sum of all 3 rounds will be count together. 2) Longest distance between 9900 ft (3000 m) and 6500 ft (2000 m), measured by Wintec WBT 201, Software: Paralog, 1 jump counts (max. 1 retake) For more information check here: http://www.fallschirmsport-marl.de/fsm-extern/events-2009/skyjesters-wings-over-marl-2009.html Who is going? Please count the list: 1. Deniq
  5. Costyn, on the given site is information concerning organizer of the event "North pole". The information concerning flying in wingsuit comes direct from my russian friends The wingsuit flyer are Gleb Vorevodin and Alexander Pyzin (Russia).
  6. You can do it too. Of course, it is nice to fly all time with downwind But, in Germany for example, we have restriction for the exit point (2 miles from landing area) and I can't fly all track with downwind, sooner one arc with different alignment to downwind.
  7. I speak here about "all hat and no cattle". The GPS-track must be a applicable proof for given declarations. Yes, the boundary conditions are important for performance. But good pilot is good pilot... Good idea with real competition. All participants jump at more or less same boundary conditions. You can visit e.g. "Wings over Marl", "Wings over Gransee" and verify yours skills
  8. On 13.04.2009 two russian jumper flew from 3000 meters in wingsuits over North Pole! Information in Russian here: http://www.northpole.ru/skydive.htm
  9. The one of the newest devices is Wintec WBT-300. This device can save up to 4 points per sec (4 Hz). I use now Wintec WBT-201, forerunner for WBT-300.
  10. Hi people, multiple wingsuit flyer say on this forum incredible data for his wingsuit-flights without any confirmation. Dear top wingsuit pilot, please post your flight data on trackingderby.com. Present yours really performance, bring evidence for all another!
  11. I use standard Software "TimeMachineX" from the box of Wintec WBT201
  12. Gravity is our only engine! Speed is our only friend! Every jumper use potential energy given by altitude and the exit weight. How you use this energy is the second question, but the energy balance equation is the same for all jumpers
  13. Hi Jarno, I know now, why you go for ponys: pony are very popular animals in Holland. During my last trip to A3 Balloon the ponys are everywhere! Hope, I can land to one pony next time at A3 Balloon jump
  14. Looks like L/D goes to infinity
  15. Hi Jarno, please let us know the final start time, because of summer-time re-setting
  16. Justin, before you say "most of people", try to fly your wingsuit orderly. The "Wings over Marl 2008" indicate, that yours wingsuit-performance in XS-7 was more or less the same like myself in Phantom. I know, America go for big cars and big wingsuits. But, the last example with GM and Chrysler show really trueness.
  17. I jump today my new Vampire-3! Great wingsuit, like rocket And on the pictures you can see comparison between V-3 and Tony's XS.
  18. Conditions: According to the Hungarian regulations for wingsuit jumping holding minimum FAI C licence is necessary. For tracking category FAI B licence required. Helmet, audible altimeter, wingsuit specific parachute, blue FAI licence and reserve packing documentation needed. Question: are german national license (DFV-license) and german reserve rules (1-year perack period) valid in Hungary?
  19. Hi all, could you please write here your experience concerning exit point and communication of DZs with air traffic control. Situation in Germany: air traffic control restrict the exit point for skydivers with a cylinder with radius 2 miles and center in the landing area. For flocks it is Ok. But, if you will jump solo and fly with full performance, 2 miles is to few. You can't fly direct line (best performance with tailwind), your trajectory must be an arc because of small distance to the landing area...
  20. People! please stop this bullshit here, on dropzone.com! Everybody jump his discipline and enjoy it. For performance in solo-jumps you can participate in different ws-competitions (e.g. "Wings over Marl") and indicate yours really performance. The mind of formation jumps is the collective work and a performance of the formation is given by participants. NOT EVERYBODY IS BORN FOR WS-PERFORMANCE D/L OVER 2.0!!!
  21. Correct for solo-jumps with max performance only. We speak here about L/D for wingsuit formation jumps
  22. The L/D for formations is really less as 2,0. formation jumps - for fun solo-jumps - for performance! Yuri, please don't mix these two types of flying. Not each wingsuit-jumper is born for L/D over 2,0
  23. Please post here yours WS-experience concerning gainer-exits. Safety rules? Specials?
