  1. I see here only restricted view for the topic... What a shame!
  2. Dear "Fly like brick" members, if you will stay restricted on artistic type of flying, please don't disturb my investigation regarding wingsuit flying, and try it experimental in the air. Flying is nice, but because of time and money limitation I can't do 1000 jumps per year and try to understand the physics of wingsuit flying on ground. Enough knowledge before jump bring considerably more efficiency for the jump, because of better mix of experimental (former jumps) and academic (aerodynamics) experience.
  3. If you look basics of aerodynamics, you can see - every body have lift (Cy) and drag (Cx). The flow velocity (air in our case) and angle between the flow and the body are two important matters for us!
  4. I collect now "glide ratio" database for different wingsuit types. Please post here corresponding example following your parameters for the "best glide ratio point": Wingsuit type: PF Phantom Exit weight: 83 kg Height: 170 cm Vertical speed: 90 km/h Ground speed: 230 km/h
  5. With my PF Phantom is average fall rate 64 km/h (40 mph). You can compare surfaces for SM1 and Phantom. I think, limit for SM1 or Stealth must be around 45 km/h (28 mph).
  6. Congratulations! But time alone is only parameter for your vertical movement, without any practical value. You can use this parameter just for "time"-competitions like "Wings over Marl". A practice say "well balance between vertical and forward movement".
  7. Nice, nice, nice... Wings over Rotterdam... Could you please provide normal slot prices for wingsuit flyers without coaching?
  8. Optics is only for eye... Which glide ratio will you fly with this suit?
  9. Nice results! But, if I compare Glide Ratio with 2007, you can see significant progress here: 1st Place 2007: 3300/(3300-1500)=1,833 1st Place 2008: 3970/(3000-1500)=2,647 What it is? Experience? New wingsuits? Or just tailwind?
  10. It will be good, if a pilot use for both disciplines (time and distance) only one wingsuit. Otherwise, you can fly, for example, "time" with Stealth and "distance" with Vampire2. This approach discriminate pilots with only one wingsuit.
  11. Nice infos! I think, anybody fly this year over 60 sec between 3000>2000 meters Anybody with Mach1 ot Stealth
