2nd jump of Benedikt was more or less near to disqualification (about 30° to target bearing). Benedikt had another angle to wind in comparison to another pilots in this round... Generally, this competion showed huge influence of the wind on the altitude on performance! Even allowed +/- 30° tolerance is too much for clean comparison of results. Without disqualification of jumps the winner table must be different to the official results But the competition rules are the rules...

I saw this device last weekend during "Wings over Gransee". Nice GPS! Very compact and lightweight for using on your helmet. Definitely helpful to find you optimal body position during the wingsuit flying. Klaus (Paralog) can tell more professional information about test flights with this device (he had already any jumps with FlySight) and compatibility with Paralog.

We are here in skydive environment... Next skydive-competition come soon - "Wings over Gransee" on 17-19 September 2010. It is not good idea to attend this event and show time/distance/speed? Just like German workshop prior World BASE Race

I prefer nacked tracking! Nature is the best Manufacturer! Just fill the flow with your skin!

Hi, KrisFlyZ, Just Imagine! V3 marry X-Bird (or backwards)... What child come on this way out?

Really shit weather today - time for LAN-partys and drinking In the first day of the competition we had 33 jumpers in wingsuit-category and 20+ skydivers in tracking suit and in nacked tracking categories. Best result of the day: the "Zeppelin" flew incredible 2,84 in his Stealth-2 at low wind conditions The sunset jump from hot-air balloon (2500 meters altitude) was very good idea prior the party with very funny Hungarian tradition to celebrate all "first happening"

What is with another manufacturer like Tony Suit or S-Fly? It is possible to post here total list of all participants and equipment?

It looks like death for this project. Nobody can add new tracks since any weeks... Any ideas about future of www.trackingderby.com?

Hi Csaber, which international airport is the best one to come to the boogie?

Hi wingsuit-people! What you think about adaptation of Fusion (http://www.tonywingsuits.com/fusion.html) for skydive environment? Tony - it is possible to do the wingsuit/parashut system for normal skydiving? Nice base-video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TH3RFa4bKfk

Hi Jarno, about 2 weeks til 19.06... Any news/changes about this event?
-
Hi Jarno, it will be good to see this new wingsuit in a comparison to another models at real competition conditions (e.g. "Wings over Marl" or "Wings over Gransee").

Just stol the wingsuit and the landing is no problem anymore Here is one example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfeMLQNe57E

SkyJester, in comparison to Visa or Yves, don't use combustion engine for his flights! He use a nozzle operated with peroxide from high-pressure bottle. No problems with warm-up: just open the valve outside of aircraft and fly... No problems for landing: just remove the nozzle from legs area to belly at the flight under canopy.

But in Russia you can find "oldtimers" from 20th century

Just one fine video from 2007, wingsuiting from MI-8, DZ Stupino (Russia): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYC1zMuhc8w -
Winner of this year on trackingderby.com ? :D

Next year you can start from Finland and fly direct to Marl or Gransee in your wingsuit! Just save the jet costs for participation in competitions! -
Correct, Yuri! Maybe the easier way to show it for "non-number" public is graphical explosure (e.g. Polar). In my opinion: 1) the improving of the horizontal speed for wingsuit technique in large-scale is no more possible (without an engine). 2) for reducing of drag we can use new materials only. Body position (wings geometry) is our limit here. 3) increasing of the lift is the way for upcoming wingsuit models. New aerodynamic solutions are here in demand!

Russia, DZ Pushino (former DZ Stupino), 2009 Wingsuit-Rodeo, clean and stable, like for a schoolbook http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcXA6CLHEv4

1000m dive... It is not better to do competition at following conditions: - exit at 4000 meter - competition window between 3750 - 1250 meter The winsguit-pilot(s) should fly all time with preferably best performance and we have minimal influence of dive on real performance at real conditions. Otherwise we have unreal numbers in results, inclusive huge kinetic energy accumulated in the dive 4000>3000 meter. Additional altitude wind and we have incredible glide ratio like 3,6 by Tony at WoM 2009 Even in base environment I don't saw any pilot with glide ratio over 3,0 for complete distance.

Thank you very much to DZ Gransee and competition team for perfect organisation of this competition! The new idea to do the competition at downwind and upwind was very intelligent. Even at low wind (10-30 km/h) during the competition you can see huge influence on performance. And the best joke of the competition - Tony (Tony Suits) got 50%-discount for Phoenix-Fly wingsuit
-
You can add Russia into the "international" list See you upcoming weekend in Gransee!
-
Maybe next good possibility for Justin to get title "world wingsuit champion" Ok, seriously question - who is in game?
