Dear gentlemen, this topic is about new products by Intrudair. You can jump Manta for long solo flights or Piranha for formations or aerobatics. Every size for every requirement! Nothing individually, but you can create new topic "size" and debate about wingsuit size or biggest modern Casanova, girls and ego's in this separate topic I am not the Intrudair dealer, I am just normal weekend-skydiver and made this topic just to inform dz-community about new products on the market. My previos wingsuit was by PF, my current is by Intrudair, my next is by ??? Best quality/price/performance interaction is the drive for the enhancements on the market!

According to Intrudair-homepage, base prices are (state 11.05.2011): Manta - 790 EUR Shark - 790 EUR Piranha - 620 EUR. Venom looks like X-Bird. But, both wingsuits have different style of flight. And every bike have two wheels

Hungarian company Intrudair start into new season 2011 with three wingsuits (Piranha, Shark and Manta) in new design. For more information please see here: http://www.intrudair.com/En/En.html Base jump in Manta-wingsuit in Brento: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IU_ZmciM4k

BIRDDOCTOR - it is correct, if I interpret yours sentence like "V4 have significantly better glide ratio and slightly worse fall rate" as X-Bird? What is happen with glide ratio for X-Bird if the pilot increase fall rate to the level of V4? P.S. We try to see it in August at Hungarian Wingsuit Competition or at "Wings over Gransee".

Mission is completed! Attached is one picture from the ground.

Yes, Jarno, save your alco-power for Hungarian Boogie

V4 has airlocked legwing It is final version for V4-legwing or a prototype? It is possible to post here any photos for airlocked V4-legwing?

18 kmh as peak for 2-3 seconds or as continuous flight over longer time? Or 18 mph? It is possible to post this video on open video service (e.g. vimeo/youtube)?

1) You can't do 2 absolute similar jumps because of different boundary conditions: weather, muscle & brain conditions etc. 2) Yuri showed in his Wingsuit Studio sumer 2009 all, what we need for Base Race in theory! The best at Base Race is a heavy pilot with best L/D. For more details please read here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3626009;sb=post_username;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread.

But, for best glide ratio and good lift you don't need max. forward speed. With maximizing of forward speed you kill yours glide ratio and lift. Please don't compare here "old" and "new". Newest cars on the market have too lower fuel consumption as old-timer Venom is most close here to X2. Vampire wingsuits don't use airlock system in leg wing

Oddern - huge wingsuit-surface produce more drag as a smaller wingsuit. Just see results for "Speed" on Paralog Preformace Competition: http://www.paralog.net/ppc/showspeedcomp.php First places are for Vampire-3 (smaller as X-Bird). I suppose, V4 or X2 indicate in fact lower speed, because of higher drag. "Wings over Gransee" is this year 26-28 August. We can see it in late summer Genaral point: for better evaluation of the flight performace we need something like "wingsuit wingload" = wingsuit surface devided by pilot's exit weight. Results from Gransee point: light pilots in big wingsuits (low wingsuit wingload) fly well "Time". Weighty pilots (high wingsuit wingload) are better in "Speed". For "Distance" is the wingsuit wingload secondary.

mccordia - thereby yours wingsuit jump number 1000? On 12th April? P.S. 12th April - big day in the space-history! 50 years ago, 12.04.1961 Yuri Gagarin (USSR) flew first time around the Earth!

Leonardo da Vinci was one of the first wingsuit-designer. We approach us step by step to his ws-prototype

New ideas for PF photo competition, from RW department: Skydive Deland April 14th - 17th 2011 World Team Flight of the Phoenix 156-way http://www.theworldteam.com/11WT_Phoenix_info.htm

Past saturday I had 2 test jumps on Venom (demo-wingsuit) in skydive-environment. Great wingsuit! In comparison to X-Bird, the biggest difference was for me in huge stability during the flights. On X-Bird I had in past time lot of instabilitis in horizontal plane. On Venom - stable body position from first jump! Great work, Robi & Jarno!
-
Don't forget: both cases, James Boole and this one, were not possible without snow...

Can post here anybody "improved" results after using of FlySight GPS? Any outlook to see this season stable glide ratio over 3.0 (at no-wind conditions)?

"Marko Mike" Memorial Wingsuit Boogie & Competition - Hungary

2010 we had our balloonjumps from ca. 2500 meter (8200 ft) for 40 EUR. Top service for equitable costs! -
I use now old installation of Paralog version 5.3.1 (Free Trial) with my Wintec WBT-201. Can I use this version with FlySight GPS or should I re-install new (at present time 5.3.9 Free Trial ???) version for Paralog?

What's your preferred flght time measuring device(s) ?
Deniq replied to likestojump's topic in Wing Suit Flying
GPS-logger: time & speed & 3D on Google Earth... All flight parameters in one device. -
I suppose, Helmut Tacke, winner of "Wings over Gransee 2010" in category "Time" can beat 5 Minutes in his X-Wing. His average vertical speed during the competion was 40,1 kmh (24,9 mph). http://www.wingsuitcompetition.com/ppc/showtrack.php?trackid=759

Just paint a mesh (mesh size for example 50x50 mm) on bottom (on plastic film), place your wingsuit (without rig) onto mesh and count number of quadrats, closed by wingsuit. For definition of the wingsuit-classes for a competition you can use wingload - total exit weight of pilot (incl. rig and clothes) devided by wingsuit surface (e.g. in kg/m2).
