One is a mechanism of government, the other is an economic system. You are saying a country couldn’t democratically agree to have collective ownership of certain key industries agreed upon by the people vs private ownership of those same assets? You’re talking apples and oranges.

You are missing my point. I’m not saying that socialism would make the US better. I’m saying that Kallend, in the case, is (effectively) saying “hey I noticed that another country does things like x, and their people seem to benefit from it”. The response (paraphrasing) “well, if you like it so much you should move there” is an dodge of the issue. Effectively saying “America, love it exactly as it is now or leave it” isn’t patriotic. It’s cowardly - it’s being unwilling to have a dialogue about alternative ways of doing things that may (or might not) make things better.

I don't know about that, but I can say that the Q-razy people are about as far from Occam's Razor as Bill Booth's beard is from a real one. "Widely reported as semi-illiterate and demonstrably incoherent guy makes typos in unhinged 3:00 a.m. Tweets? Nah! Must be secret messages being sent to his covert operatives! That makes much more sense!" (You need to line up the typos and they tell you to drink your Ovaltine.) *Even if* you accept the premise that there's some secret counter-conspiracy to combat another secret conspiracy, why the Hell would the leader of it be sending instructions via Tweets where everyone (even the "bad guys") can read them. That's so dumb at so many levels, it's like a Fractal of Stupidity.

Only because a few of us participate here, (somewhat successfully I think.) Others will never participate because they do not want anyone to challenge them with questions. In general this website is not a good indicator of the skydiving community as a whole. In general most people think this place is insane. This. It's largely an echo chamber in a lot of cases, with a few people dominating each of the boards. Years and years ago, it seemed to have a lot broader appeal; now I only know a handful of people who regularly read it. LOL at thinking all wingsuits are copied off of Shorb's old suit - or even that it was all that different from the suits that came before it. (Yes, I recognize it and even have pictures of it from back in the day.) Suit design has changed a lot. As has performance. No, we don't need a pitot tube to prove it. There's definitely a CoW in this thread, and he's the one avoiding questions. I'm back to my comment about unsubstantiated mathsturbation. Seems like the models aren't substantiated - at least based on the reviews so far. I guess the world still isn't ready for the Yuri Device (remember when it was called that?)
