all of them I think you're sort of trolling a bit, but I'm going to respond anyway. Yes and no. If you have a dual zipper system, you run a clear risk of having it shift around. Some people have attempted to fix this by messing with the zippers or putting locks or bungees or whatever on them, or making sure they do a Picard maneuver (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2o77i74T48) before they exit the aircraft, but the zippers can shift despite all that, particularly as the harness shifts during and following deployment. I'll add that some zippers can make this more or less likely to shift - I don't recall which the "good zippers" are versus the "bad zippers". The problem with the dual zipper system gets particularly troublesome with some builds on some rigs. For example, if you're long waisted (i.e., you have a proportionately longer waist than legs), it appears that the dual zipper system can get particularly messy, depending on the wingsuit's proportions. The dual zipper system was intended to permit BASE jumpers (who don't have handles in the front, of course) to use their wingsuits for skydiving as well as BASE, but in my opinion they create a risk with no reward for those of us who only skydive. The designs that don't allow that to happen include the ones that have the suit threaded into the rig with cables. Incidentally, these also can be used for BASE. Did the US annex Canada when I was at Burning Man? I miss out on all the fun stuff... On the plus side, I anticipate a poutine dividend. Skwrl Productions - Wingsuit Photography Northeast Bird School - Chief Logistics Guy and Video Dork

Why would anybody call a camera indicator light a safety feature? Because our friends will kick our asses if we forget to turn the camera on and they can't put whatever nonsense they're doing on the YouTube. I owned a Funk that I did a bunch of jumps on. I've been jumping a Carve regularly for the last couple months. I bought a Foghead, which I received yesterday. I'll let you know how it compares to the others as soon as I've had a chance to put a five or eight jumps in (hopefully this weekend, but the weather in my area looks questionable). Wingsuit docked line records official/unoffial

Yes. They haven't updated their website yet. I was told to use the R-bird 2 form and prominently note that it's for a Foghead instead in the "Notes" section. Skwrl Productions - Wingsuit Photography Northeast Bird School - Chief Logistics Guy and Video Dork

I wish I still had my emails from back then (I lapsed on my payment to Google one month when a credit card expired and I lost everything pre-2011). But I'm pretty damn certain I followed his directions precisely, because I specifically asked the question and was kind of surprised with the answer. Having said that, I'd love to see his/your new design. Can you link me (here or on FB)? Skwrl Productions - Wingsuit Photography Northeast Bird School - Chief Logistics Guy and Video Dork

How is that "Wingsuit friendly"?The J-Lo bracket puts the smoke cannister outside the wingsuit with no contact. A good bracket IMO Sure, but how does the cutaway work? I had a J-Lo bracket. I was told by the manufacturer that you either (a) put it on over your bootie, or (b) put it on under the bootie and gave up the ability to easily use the cutaway. I didn't like having no cutaway option, so I put it on over the bootie. It's easy enough to fly in a manner than compensates for the deformed suit, but on the third use of it, I lost the bracket mid-jump (despite the fact it was cinched up quite tight). Flying a suit tends to pull the wing taut, which sort of pushes the bracket off. Thankfully, it wasn't lost over anywhere populated or combustible. Personally, I don't think either the J-Lo or the ChutingStar model is a great design for wingsuiting. I'd need to look more at this new design to see its benefits and drawbacks. Sublime. (And all these posters trying sound so disparaging towards Red Bull would gladly sacrifice a testicle for the opportunity to fly like that.) Thank God I don't have to sacrifice a testicle to jump in a loose three way flock. I'd be all out of nuts after, I dunno, a typically weekend morning skydiving, if I got up early. Cool visual? Absolutely. Are the Red Bull guys great fliers? Of course. This video doesn't highlight flying prowess, though. I think that's a good way of putting it. It's not that you can't do XRW or flocking with them (lots of people do), but there are comparable suits that will make it easier for a pilot to do so. Skwrl Productions - Wingsuit Photography Northeast Bird School - Chief Logistics Guy and Video Dork

that all sounds good in theory but I found it it's hard in the real world when you're 6 foot 4 and 250 pounds somebody tell me that they have got a demo suit in that size. Please. Fingers crossed. But I'm not holding my breath Jason bresson might be someone for you to get in touch with keith. I missed you at fitz this year man! Totally agree on connecting with Bresson. He's probably thinner the you but as tall as you - all around he may be a larger guy than you (well, Lisa says he's larger than anybody, but she may be biased), and he is a hell of a pilot - on the inaugural US Wingsuit performance team. I'm curious: if you are looking to buy a suit for skydiving only, why are you limiting your options to Squirrel? Squirrel is a great company, and they make good products, but there are other manufacturers who make comparable suits. Additionally, asking "what suit should I buy?" is hard to answer without knowing what you want to do with the suit. Are you looking for a suit for performance? Flocking? Aerobatics? XRW? Something else? Edited to add: don't buy a suit you haven't flown. If you can't find a demo near you, look harder. A lot of people who use them for SCUBA use these filters: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1014994-REG/polar_pro_p1001_red_filter_color.html/prm/alsVwDtl However, a better option is to get a high quality light source, such as this: http://img1.findthebest.com/sites/default/files/3801/media/images/Ikelite_Machined_Aluminum_Gopro_Tray_1315579.jpg Skwrl Productions - Wingsuit Photography Northeast Bird School - Chief Logistics Guy and Video Dork

I think that there are fewer differences between the suits they're talking about than there are between a BMW and an Audi. But I agree with your point. Try before you buy, even if that means you have to wait a bit. Of all of the suits I've bought (and I've bought a lot), I've only been disappointed when I bought before trying. Different pilots have different flying styles and desires, and what works for one guy doesn't work for another. For example, is a hyper-inflating suit right for you and the type of flying you want to do? Or do you want one that isn't as rigid. Knowledgeable people can argue that there are benefits (and drawbacks) to both. But you only really discover what's right for you when you take one out, put it on, and fly the damn thing a few times.
