Food Stamp for Cash exchange in an 'emergency'- morality question?
jclalor replied to Iago's topic in Speakers Corner
It could be a sting, most likely not. I would be suspicious on why, at the least she could not have a relative wire her $20. If she seemed sincere, I may perhaps, on a good day put 2-3 gallons directly into her tank. -
Jump Lodi, the H&P''s there don't add one second to the load.

I find it perplexing that some think it should be much more difficult to vote than to buy a firearm.

Out of all the wing nut ideas on why guns are needed, you come up with Melissa Harris-Perry? you need to cut back on the fluoridated water.

Remember just a couple of years back when the military abolished DADT? Many here posted that this was surely the beginning of a rapid decline in our military, no one would reinlist and our combat readiness would be degraded. You don't here much these days about DADT, just like you won't here much in a couple of years about DOMA being struck down. In a couple years from now, gay marriages will be no more of an issue than blacks sitting in the front of the bus.

The "What next? People being allowed to marry relatives and animals" Argument seems to always be brought up by southerners. I wonder why that is.

The Z-hills Double Fatal Speculation Thread
jclalor replied to base283's topic in Safety and Training
How is it apparent to you that neither pilot chute launched and how can you call your assumption a "fact"? Of course I cant' prove any of the apparent facts, I was just speculating from what I understood, If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. -

The video evidently shows the student loosing consciousness and the instructor catching up to him but too low. -
The Z-hills Double Fatal Speculation Thread

Call me a cynic, but an AAD is not designed to fire when turned off, hence it worked as designed. The apparent fact that not one reserve PC launched shows that they most likely were never turned on. -
The Z-hills Double Fatal Speculation Thread

Perhaps it was already mentioned and I missed it, but would the most likely scenario involve that both AED's were never turned on ? The gear description given earlier made no mention if they were on. The odds of both of them not working is huge. -
60 Billion in Aid for Sandy-- Now The CYCLONE IS RUNNING
jclalor replied to OHCHUTE's topic in Speakers Corner
Billions that the Red Cross paid out on Sandy? Your pulling numbers out of your ass. -
Picking on a girl? I really don't give a shit what her sex is, I will disagree with her like I would anyone else in here, do you think she is incapable of arguing for herself because she's a girl? that's insulting. What else is very insulting to women is when you dislike someone and compare them to a leaky vagina. Stay classy.

VIDEO...What options does this skydiver have?
jclalor replied to EtherPilot's topic in Safety and Training
I love the Sky Van when it's in Davis, regardless of where it came from. I just think some people may look at AC from Lodi, (where I jump often) in just a different light, Full disclosure if you will. I was just trying to be witty in my first post, I really did not mean to rehash the Lodi debate saga. -
I thought you had to be out of the 7th grade to be a skydiver.

VIDEO...What options does this skydiver have?
jclalor replied to EtherPilot's topic in Safety and Training
I noticed one thing in this video... paying Byron prices yet jumping the Lodi Otter. Not sure what your point is. Are you suggesting that dropzones can't set their own jump prices even if they're bringing in outside aircraft? Rightly or wrongly, the perception of Lodi AC is that they are not well maintained, and that is one of the considerations when paying $15 a jump, this is also why many people will not jump there. Paying full price for their otter just seems a little bass akwards. -
If you have only jumped at Hollister for a few months you re lucky, they seem to be finally getting it together. For a few years they were everything (and worse) the Yelp reviews say they were. I had friends that went out and did tandems paying full price for 15K, waiting for 8 hours, and then only going to 8K. I watched their videos of only 15 seconds of FF. Mako's a good guy and means well, but for awhile he really let things get away from him. FYI, All the tandems found the place on Groupon and various other coupon sites, When Hollister is paid only $50 per tandem, people don't get paid on time. Hollister has great funjumpers but tandems are the cash cow that keeps the turbines running, keep doing business the same way and no one will be jumping.
