  1. I think of this when ever I hear the term "White women" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=493pL_Vbtnc
  2. 0:45 second mark. That's a historical fact, you believe white males and black males are treated equally when interacting with police? I will concede the term Nazi was a poor choice of words, using the word Nazi always cheapens the deate, but a large group would agree with Wayne Lapierre's statement about the over reach of "Jack booted thugs" I wonder who he was comparing the LEO's to? Did you not just lecture me on my use of the word most?
  3. It would appear there're are a lot more Republican voters in favor of background checks than there are democratic voters who oppose them. The old " I'm a leftist liberal democrat and even I think this is wrong" is getting old. I remember just last year people supposedley saying " I voted for Obama in 08 but there's no way I would vote for him again". http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/20/opinion/gun-control-a-republican-lashes-out-at-his-party.html?_r=0
  4. The "LEO" does not show a badge when he first confronts the man and try's to grab the can. If a black undercover officer did the same thing to a white customer, I bet the blowback would be a lot different. It seems there's many people that think the cops are all a bunch of nazis when it comes to enforcing gun laws, but never see anything wrong with police when it comes to racial profiling.
  5. How does that work when this person is not in uniform and does not present a badge and then assaults a law abiding person?

  7. The election is in about three weeks and things are beginning to get nasty; as I would expect. Now where's my popcorn? JerryBaumchen PS) I live in a suburb so I will not be voting on this issue. It's amazing to think that the flouridation conspiracy nuts have been going for 60 years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB5Vvs2cdqY

  10. I would have really liked to return to Aleppo, it's a great city. I stayed at the baron hotel, perhaps the swankiest hotel in the middle east during it's glory days. I had the choice of staying in the room that Agatha Christie started writing Murder on the orient express or the room where Lawrence of Arabia stayed in when he was in town. They still have his last bill that he never paid under class at the counter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baron_Hotel Being detained by the Syrian secret police for 10 hours was not very fun, but these things build character.
  11. Hezbollah is on Assad's side, you have it backwards. >>>>>I doubt that at any time, that any weapons from Syria will will be going to Hezbollah. Hezbollah being Shia, and funded by Iran, Sunni and Hezbollah are already fighting in Lebanon, they will not be getting any favors from the Sunni rebels. The Sunni's are already staring to get restless with the Shia dominated government in Iraq, and now with Iran loosing Assad, I bet Iraq explodes. ======================================= AQ has never really focused on Israel, I cant remember one attack. OTOH, Hezbollah's whole function in life is to drive Israel into the sea. With Iran loosing Syria, they loose their land route to supply Hezbollah in Lebanon. AQ in Iraq will be the big winner.

  13. It did seem like a good idea at the time. The bottom line is we don't really have a good track record in the area and we should just let evolution take it's course. We don't now, nor will we ever understand that part of the world.

  15. Hussein was a "bit" ruthless but are we (and Iraq) better off with him out of power?
  16. I spent a couple of weeks in Syria a couple of years back, absolutely wonderful place. Assad may have been a bit ruthless but at least his government was secular, and was more or less stable. Who knows what's going to happen if we get involved. Let them hash it out Look at what happened to us in Libya by the group we sided with. You would think after Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya that we would have learned that nothing good happens when we get involved in that area.
  17. Currently the rule of law would require the rounding up, detaining, and deportation of 10 million people, I don't see anyone, from any party proposing that we do that. And just for the record, there has never been a President to have deported as many illegal aliens as Obama.
  18. I tell you why The media lets him get away with it This is absolutely a battle that the Right needs to really focus in on. Never mind that attitudes like this towards Hispanics will stop the GOP from ever obtaining the White House again.
  19. The technology is 30 years old and has already been tested and used to solve a bombing, the NRA helped prevent its full implementation.

  21. Sorry. ***Authorities have a identified a suspect, a Saudi national, who is currently being guarded in a Boston hospital with shrapnel wounds. Boston police are denying that anyone is a suspect. The JFK fire is now being called unrelated.
