Airline passenger captures UFO over Atlanta, GA
jclalor replied to BillyVance's topic in The Bonfire
And yet only one person recorded or reported this? -
Scientists....maybe. Climate scientists, not a chance. Judith Curry, a CLIMATE scientist, recently testified before congress stating just that. Judith Curry is a pariah tk the climate alarmists. She is a climate scientist. She has the credentials. And she is absolutely detested because she admits to the uncertainties and the faults and the things not understood. Far from being a denier, she is one of those who says that models don't match obsevations. She points out flaws in reasoning on all sides. She isn't told she's wrong. She is told that she is waste people's time. That she is making points that are uninteresting. And she's being subjected to the House Unamerican Climate Committee actions. Reason is that it is politics more than science. Here's the thing: when climate scientists are testifying before congress, it's political. Deciding whether to do something about climate change isn't a matter of denying whether it can be done. Climate change is like the F-35. Are people who object to funding the F-35 technology deniers? Do they deny that stealth technology exists? Do they deny that the Air Force is necessary now And in the future? Or do we oppose it because the bang for the buck isnt there? That there are other strategies that wont cost trillions? That's the debate. It's political. Did you work for RJ Renolds back in the eighties?

It must be bitterly disappointing, as you grow older and older, realizing that deep in your heart, your whole world view is wrong.

You should seriously be more skeptical with everything you read, your confirmation bias is incredible.

I checked alot of the claims made in the article, at least as much as you can check out these things, they all seemed On the level. The U.S. is usually about 10 years behind the ball when it comes to the ME, the difference between Sunnis and Shia are still not known to most.

If you would bother to learn just a bit about ISIS, you would know that they really don't care about coming stateside , they are completely content with staying where their at, in the Levant. One of the attractions that draws foreign fighters to Syria, is the chance to be part of the battle of Dabiq. Every single member of ISIS knows that this small Syrian town will be the stage for a great battle agains the west. After this great battle there will be another battle in Jerusalem, and During this battle, Jesus comes down and saves the day. Someone posted this a while back, it's long but well worth it. http://www.theatlantic.com/features/archive/2015/02/what-isis-really-wants/384980/

I think the first real issue that needs to be addressed, is the inability of cops to report crimes committed by their fellow cops. I work in healthcare, if I witness abuse and fail to report it, I committ a crime. Why aren't cops held to the same standard? Until cops understand that they don't have impunity from their fellow cops, nothing will change.

Thats because its a starter job, not a career for a 30 year old. You eat shit when your young and building a future so you can have that job that gives paid vacations. Retail, walmart, mcdonalds workers need to understand that shit. Making a big macs your entire life is not supposed to be a career. Here's your problem... Perhaps 10% of the population is at the age where a "starter" job may be appropriate, yet, 25% oll all available jobs pay the same as "starter" jobs. The Blue collar section of the middle class is becoming obsolete. If you pay real close attention, you may notice that every worker, over the age of 22 at fast food or Walmart, is not a lazy sloth. And FWIW, In the grand scheme of things, I'm an Athiest. I remember just a few years ago, driving to work and the streets were empty on the nights of Thanksgiving and Xmas Not so much the last couple of years. It's not the "War on Christmas" killing the holiday, it's greed. I bet in 10 years, traffic on Christmas will be indistinguishable from traffic on Presidents' Day.

I'm a nurse, I get double time for working holidays... But I always knew being in healthcare that working holidays was part of the deal. Retail workers on average don't make shit, perhaps $10 an hour, once upon a time in this country, the idea of nonessential personnel working major holidays was considered immoral. Now, those same folks who are worried about a "War" on Christmas, have no problem not letting the local mall workers spending it with their families.

My DVR missed it. Thanks for posting it, it's the best show on TV. The one thing I wish Frontline would have done is define what a "multi dose vaccine" is. I don't think most people realize what that is; a vial that contains more than a single dose, most flu shots come in a 1ml vial that contain enough vaccine for 10 injections. Some vaccines come in a single dose that you simply attach a needle to. The reason thimerasol is used in multi dose vaccines is to preserve the remaining doses in the vial once it has been opened, up to a month. I wonder how those anti vaccine nuts could appear on that show and not feel like complete idiots after watching themselves?

Have you ever tried to reason with a Moonie or a Krishna?

Lighten up...it was a joke. I was serving in the Navy right after highschool.

My parents demanded that if they fed and housed me, I go to church every week. That was a long 32 years.

You make life in prison sound great. Who wouldn't want that? Of course, the point is that innocent people keep getting sentenced to death. You can commute a life sentence, the death penalty is rather final. Y'all keep talking about the "some". There is at least one admitted murderer in Florida that needs to die. After he ceases to breathe, I might possibly reconsider my stance on the issue. Until then, I cannot wait to be looking him in the eye as the lights go out of them. And we all know that "admitted" murderers in Florida are guilty. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_on_a_Sunday_Morning

Canadien born born Ted Cruz declares his intention to be President

I'm thinking that the GOP and FOX news just may hold Cruz to a different level of accountability. -

I was under the impression than many on the right, while acknowledging that obama was a US citizen, that because he was "born" in Kenya he was ineligible for POTUS. I am not claiming Ted is ineligible for the WH, it's just interesting what huge hypocrites the mainstream Right has become. -

Missouri to execute old man missing part of his brain
jclalor replied to jclalor's topic in Speakers Corner
You think a confession of guilt removes all doubt? That is painfully naive. No, your words not mine So where's the legal term/line for beyond all doubt? How do you codify that? the problem here is (I think) you do not believe in the DP at all. That is ok but, let me give you an example of guilty beyond any doubt Think of the recent Paris shooting Lets take the video of the ass hat who killed the cop in cold blood. Lets say that same video had a close up of the killers face and therfore the identy is iron clad Any doubt? Think about when someone admits to dismembering and dumping a body at sea, that sounds pretty "Iron clad"...
