    Back when I was very young and very dumb, I had just got done shooting my Savage .308 in the local hills. As previously mentioned, being young and dumb I kept it loaded and on the seat next to me while taking it home. while at a red light, waiting to make a left turn, about 5 motorcycle cops came flying into the intersection and blocked traffic. One of them came over to me and explained that VP Mondales motorcade was coming through in a few minutes. How he stood at my door and never saw that rifle was absolutely astounding, Walter's limo passed by no more than 15 feet away.

He claimed it was real, I bet him $20 it wasn't. i told him I would pose the question here and he agreed. Perhaps I should have used the phrase " I know it's BS" as opposed to "I think it's BS" but there was no doubt in my mind.

    I was visiting my sister in San Diego, she didn't believe in television but woke me after hearing the news on the radio. I was going crazy not being able to watch on TV. She lived about a mile from an Indian casino so I headed there. It was absolutley amazing, 75% of the peole there were glued to every available TV. The other 25% were degenerate gamblers who never even bothered to look up from their tables or slot machines. I was suppose to fly home the next day but we all know how that worked out. I ended up taking an Amtrak train back to the Bay Area. Of course the train ran over someone and we ended up being stuck in Fresno for 4 hours why they found another crew. What a week.

While it's true the middle class is shrinking and wages are stagnant, corporate America is putting a shitload of cash in the bank while at the same time paying less and giving shittier benifits. Who would of ever thought that spending hundreds of billions of dollars on wars, while giving huge tax cuts to the wealthiest 1%, could ever have a down side?

    Actullay, I'm astonished. I just listened to the prosecuting federal attorney list off all the crimes that he was charge off, and then stated that the most prison time he could receive is 12 years... WTF?

    It sounds like we were in the USN at the same time, I was 80-83, I never got to even touch a weapon during basic or my time in the fleet. It's going to be very interesting to see how the military and FBI handle the possibility, that perhaps some of the deceased service members fired back at the the shooter with UA personal weapons.
