I had no idea he was still amongst the living. OTOH, as the years go by, I find myself enjoying more and more songs by artist that wanted to make me vomit 30 years ago.

Being diverted is one thing, accidently driving to another country is a whole other subject.
-
It sounds as if these children were more of a distraction to your wife than to any of the other children. That's also the wonderful thing about this country, teachers can freely quit their public education job and switch to a private school, that way they don't have to compromise their beliefs.

Only a lawyer could pose the exact same question 17 different ways.

It sure sucks being responsible for a whole bunch of different people's actions.

Exactly... If you really hate gays, outlaw gay divorice.
-
Half of the state implements gay marriage following an order from a federal judge. The other half refusing to do so, listening instead to the state's Chief Justice. This is the same guy behind the 10 commandments monument controversy in the state. When it's a Christian who puts his God before his country... Got bless him. Sooner or later, The Chief Justice of Alabama, along with his ilk, will be tossed upon the trash heap of history. http://news.yahoo.com/ala-chief-justice-tells-judges-refuse-gay-marriage-092037117.html;_ylt=A0SO8wnFXtlU3b4AD4TBGOd_

Perhaps we should just put all of our Muslim citizens in camps until we get this whole ISIS thing straightened out?
-
Perhaps you can cite where exactly someone claimed that the United states Is the murder capital of the planet? I've never heard that.
-
Welcome to the modern world. It seems that these things should have already been put behind us, no? Or are you saying that since the Christians did it, in the distant past, its OK for others to perpetuate violence today? Belfast in the 1980s is not "the distant past". Bosnia is not in "the distant past", 8000 Muslims exterminated by Christians less than 20 years ago, on Eurpean soil, I don't recall any of my Christian friends condemning the actions of their Serbian Christian brothers. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnian_Genocide

Pssst... It's a parody. I know that. It's why I posted it. You know some anti gun nutter is still gonna get up in arms about it anyway. That's when you laugh. I've never been a fan of online parody, for every liberal that gets riled up about this one, a conservative will get riled up over a parody on Obama and Kenya.

Finally! The terminal velocity of a cat!
jclalor replied to BleuCiel's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well theoretically if the terminal velocity of a cat is 60 mph, and a human's is approximately 120, when you account for the fact that acceleration is constant then a cat will reach terminal velocity much faster than a human. It would take approximately half the time for a cat to reach terminal so yes....yes they probably can. I would think that some of the less social cats might prefer a head down position, and then they could keep up with a belly flying human. -
Charlie Manson's wedding called off because she only wanted him for his body

I for one would have paid top dollar for a viewing. -

What is the largest caliber weapon you have fired?
jclalor replied to riggerrob's topic in Speakers Corner
I built and shot a .50 caliber black powder rifle when I was 16, I think they were all the rage for a couple of years back in the day. They sure we're fun to shoot, I couldn't hit shit further than 15 yards away, but still fun. -

Here's the law that the prosecutor tried to apply: http://www.oregonlaws.org/ors/163.700 I guess "above the hemline of one's skirt" wasn't explicitly listed under "Places and circumstances where the person has a reasonable expectation of personal privacy." I'm pretty sure you're going to see a new law in Oregon fairly soon. It's amazing how much it can take, and at other times, how little it can take to be a registered a sex offender.

Cuba... Nice, I hope to visit soon.

I'm just curious how well travelled some of my fellow DZ.commers are. I've been to: Mexico Canada England France Germany Netherlands Italy Spain Monaco Switzerland Philipines Singapore Australia Kenya Iran Turkey Syria Lebanon Egypt

I seem to remember a triple cypress fire on a 4 way team just a few years back, all young guys... I could be wrong. I think it's obvious that the dangers of skydiving increase with age, I also think Older students need to be judged individually and on their own merits, just like the younger ones. Lots of younger ones get the bowling speech, do they not? I do know one thing, I don't have to worry about a 60 year old 200 jump wonder throwing a 270 into me when I'm at 300 ft.

"The truth about Islam our elites willfully ignore"
jclalor replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
I've always respected your opinion, you've always come across as level headed and thoughtful, even though we disagree on most everything. Claiming that Obama is an ISIS sympathizer is just bat-shit crazy. If you really want to see what a sympathizer looks like, take a peek at how the majority of the GOP fawns over Putin. -
But no negative experiences with older jumpers since the Reagan administration? I think that sometimes, what older jumpers may lack in reflexes and strengh, they make up for in attentiveness and s true understanding of just how dangerous the sport really is.

Oligarchs unload Sochi Olympics assets to recoup investment

I've read that Putin's approval rating has plummeted To 85%. -
If you live by a tunnel, give that a try for 5-10 minutes first, it will make the AFF that much easier.
