As I look at the actual winners and read their statements I am optimistic that the GOP has indeed started to shed its loony right wing. Of course, all politicians lie so they may just be saying centrist stuff in order to get elected. Actually, for the most part they are saying the same thing they have been saying for decades Just like the Dems still say the R's want to kick grandma out of her house, take away SS, enslave blacks, take away minority voting rights, starve kids and the poor The electorate is now starting to roll thier eyes when this desperate bs spews forth Just like the spew you just posted How did the minimum wage due on ballots across all those red states on Tuesday? If it wasn't for the irrational fear of getting their guns confiscated and abortion on demand for 12 year olds, most conservatives would have been voting for their own economic interest long ago. But you can't fool people forever, even southerners. It's interesting how all those southern boys despise socialism, yet, they wouldn't know if they saw it.

What do you have against the MW?
-
Looks like it was a total flop.
-
It sure seems that a younger person, who is so use to having there every move recorded, would be less and less likely to even be conscious of being recorded skydiving.

I don't believe it mentioned George Bush once, this Frontline is extremely critical of Obama.
-
Those are the only ones that are out, you could probably quadruple that number with all of them.
-
Astounding show. So much so that the WH had to issue a statement a day later. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/rise-of-isis/
-
After paying him a compliment, why would I "squeeze" out a "Obama bash"?

It's nice watching The President give a press conference, and see him continually state that the US should be on the side of medical science in the fight with Ebola.
-
And it turns out that he's even a believer himself. http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/capitol_report/oklahoma-state-capitol-s-ten-commandments-monument-smashed-to-pieces/article_6f24b2e8-b904-5e9d-90ff-e34e0b778ed3.html

I'm glad you're able to rceive Medicare, VA care, and SSI, while your need may not be as great as others, it must put you're mind at ease a great deal knowing you have this coverage. It would just be nice to see you advocate for others the same benifits that you rightfully enjoy now.

Sorry, science is not always right, and your quote marks and a loose description of the scientific method isn't enough to make that statement true. Science can be wrong for long periods of time, even without the affects of religious or government authority. It was only in the 80s that we finally figured out that most ulcers are caused by H. pylori rather than stress. Nutritional science is challenging economics for vagueness and untruths these days. So long as scientists present their best guesses given data as truths (and plenty do this), let's embrace the scientific model for what it is, rather than call it 'right.' And it's always entertaining to see how suddenly humble and unwilling to debate genomics one becomes when speaking to their cancer doctor.

Drop zones are very scary places for children, I once lost my 4 year old for about 45 minutes, very scary. I eventually won her back and things worked out, but a very scary time.

How's that government provided healthcare and monthly check working out for you?

I would argue that regular Fox News viewers are damn near Rhodes Scholars compared to those that routinely watch/read Alex jones and Breitbart.
-
The most that I could get out of it was, that those who identify as being from the left, have more sources of information than those claiming to be from the right. Your continual citing of Breitbart seems to be very much inline with this study. I guess It must have been a very slow day on info wars.

Like when you try and convince everyone that the earth is only 6000 years old?
-
That's not a serious question is it? The first couple of hundred years there was no "Gospel" for anyone, and perhaps the first 1800 years the vast majority of the world had never heard of it.
-
Can you name a single period of time in the last 2000 years, where there wasn't famine, wars, or rumors of war?
-
Your apparent inability to comprehend well documented recent events, makes me question how you could possibly expect others to be swayed by your understanding of a 2000 year old single sourced fable.

Fed Study: Say, Unemployment Benefits Are Harmful
jclalor replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes indeed, there are lots and lots of jobs out there... Low pay, part time, shitty bennies. There all there for the taking. -
It's pretty entertaining watching all the usual suspects, who had previously claimed that healthcare was something that was best left entirely to the private sector, now look to that dastardly federal government for answers. I really wish Texas would just hurry up and succeed, then they wouldn't have to worry about the CDC for those problems that are best solved at the state and local level.

Fmr. Defense Secretary blames Obama for ignoring his advice in Iraq

I think you kind of answered your own question. Then again, the last Democrat that was in the WH sold a shitload of books. -
Men: I Love You But Sometimes I Just Don't Get You
jclalor replied to LuckyMcSwervy's topic in The Bonfire
Despite the great advice I received from DZ.com, I entered into a relationship with a co-worker who is 14 years my junior. I have worked together with her for 6 years, so we kind of know each other. This being the first (real) relationship for me after being divoriced 20 years ago. I feel like a fish out of water. Any little tidbits of advice would be greatly appreciated.
