  1. Very fun and very pricey. I couldn't find their prices, but other similar places are close to $200 for 30 rounds on a fully automatic.
  2. I also voted for a Texas execution. My vote wasn't based on any pretense of understanding the applicable state and federal laws, just the sense that Texas genuinely enjoys capital punishment a lot more than the Feds do. And Texas would have had it right. And it would have been one of the few occasions that I would have agreed.

  4. The last line of the OP. "Black lives matter. Cops lives don't matter" Where was your comment about playing the race card then?
  5. It also doesn't seem all that long ago, when the possibility of killing law enforcement seem to be a very exciting idea to a whole lot of folks on the right. Remember? http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/04/13/article-2603026-1D103FEC00000578-811_634x439.jpg
  6. Where's all the outrage when white "sovereign citizens" are out killing cops? White anti-government types out killing cops are a much more common occurrence than lone crazy black guys out killing cops. http://rt.com/usa/177892-sovereign-citizen-terrorist-threat/
  7. It's a great move. It's sure gonna be fun to see Rubio's and Cruz's reaction to this, their gonna be pissed.
  8. Very interesting, especially about the jihadist entering from Syria. It's interesting how little we know about major events in the area until 10 years after the fact. I spent a couple of weeks in Syria during November 2007, and at one point took a bus from Damascus to Palmyra, which is about 100 miles from the Iraqi border It seemed like 90% of the bus was filled with young men, even at the time it seemed a bit odd. And FWIW, Palmyra was an absolutely amazing place. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palmyra#/image/File:PalmyraPanorama.jpg
  9. When it comes to getting most labs done, I go to this place (2 miles from my house) and pay cash. For a cholesterol screening and CBC, I paid $59 last week, much easier for me just paying the 59 bucks and not fucking with copays and my insurance. I think they have thousands of labs nationwide. https://www.directlabs.com/mobile/OrderTests.aspx
  10. What did Voltaire say about executing the occasional Admiral? The Chinesse like to execute the occasional mayor or other "bigwig" for corruption convictions.
  11. That was my experience in Syria in 2007, they hated our government with a passion, but were thrilled beyond belief to be meeting an American. While in Aleppo, I remember a meeting jewelry shop owner, who once realized I was an american closed down his shop and took me to a back room to reveal his "big secret"... He was gay and had never told another person his whole life. Not sure what he wanted from me, but he seemed very relieved that he had finally told someone. Very interesting place.
  12. This reminded me of an old National Lampoon chart of countries called "World Aggression" that detailed what made each mad and how they would retaliate. Under Iran, it said, "Hook an F-4 to a Dodge Four-by-Four, tow it to the Arabian Sea, and attempt to fire one of its air-to-air missiles at your nuclear aircraft carrier eighteen miles offshore."
  13. Perhaps all of whiny ass liberals bled enough out of your vaginas that god parted the red seas. Oh wait you don't believe in god. Just abortions. I've always enjoyed your thoughtful and intelligent responses, don't ever stop.
  14. You had me going for as second... have a wonderful thamksgiving.
  15. I wonder if the three year old had participated in an NRA approved toddler firearm safety course?
  16. How many people have been killed by the BPP in the last 8 years? How many people have been killed by white extremist in that same period? If you're a LEO, the odds are much higher you'll be killed by a white domestic terrorist as opposed to being killed by a black or Muslim one.
  17. Perhaps you missed it, Obama has said that we have to respect the fact that the grand jury did not indict.
  18. I felt the AG handled the announcement poorly and was too disparaging of the press. With that being said, I was amazed at the number of absolutely idiotic questions that he had to answer. I still don't understand why people don't realize, that if you're a cop with a gun, and someone is charging you, you have to keep shooting until they drop. If you don't, they get your gun and shoot you. There are absolutely times when a cop can reasonably shoot an unarmed civilian.
  19. The streets and highways are more dangerous. They don't fucking pave them often enough, and there are enough assholes driving. Are you talking about NYC or the entire state of California?
  20. Thanks for clarifying the ethnicity. I always liked this story. http://youtu.be/BkRQE011vNY
  21. ................................................................................. The aforementioned video does not show a "barrel roll." The worst maneuver is a 90 degree wing-over. Granted, a 90 degree exceeds the legal definition (60 degree bank) of aerobatics, but wing-overs are survivable in most airplanes. The air regulations are written in blood because too many poorly-trained pilots get bored and wreck airplanes by attempting to teach themselves aerobatics, in airplanes that were never designed for aerobatics. Bored young pilots repeat the same mistakes every year. If pilots want to learn aerobatics, they should rent Pitts Specials. I am well aware that the video does not show a barrel roll, that's exactly what got me thinking about what I experienced several times. I think it's painfully obvious to all by now, that I have (had) little to zero experience with FAA Aircraft regulations that would extend beyond the scope of skydiving. It should also be painfully obvious to all, that I vastly underestimated the response to such. If I only knew that it was that big of a secret...
  22. I haven't jumped at that DZ for almost 2 years, I've only made a handful in the last 2 years, the last time I was there they lost their PAC. I honestly didn't even know that they currently have a turbine, let alone a boogie this weekend. And FWIW, who am I the world of skydiving to have, and then execute an "agenda"? If one really had an agenda, they could simply create another user name and then have at it, people do it here all the time. The simple fact is, while bored at work last night and watching youtube, I saw this: http://youtu.be/FJacFh_myWI And that got me thinking about my own PAC experiences, and that's why I asked the question. There was nothing more and nothing less to it.
  23. I just spoke to the DZO. Evidently this guy (jclalor) has not jumped at this DZ in a couple of years. I've messaged jclalor to confirm dates. Several years ago a pilot did barrel rolls in another PAC (not mine). That pilot was grounded at our DZ because he couldn't fly and was untrainable (IMHO). I informed the owner of that PAC at that time. If this is an old story, why post it like its new news? What's the agenda? If this did happen, please confirm date and place - anyone? My plane is flying at this DZ now. And I have a zero tolerance policy against "Pilot Antics". You can contact me at ray@actionair.com I never had the intention to imply that this was a recent incident, in fact, before I saw your post and your IM, I replied to an earlier post saying as much, and then deleted that reply after seeing your IM. I had no idea that this would be such an issue, and I apologize for any misunderstandings.
  24. So on the way to altitude in a fully loaded PAC, the pilot performs a couple of unannounced barrel rolls.
  25. When I made my first skydive in 1982, I was stationed on the USS Constellation out of North Island California. I saw a little poster in the base chow hall advertising a FJC for $40, so three friends and I signed up. We jumped out of an Arizona national guard Huey, I think I remember hearing that the jump club had made a deal to give the pilot(s) a FJC in exchange for flying the Huey for the day. Does that sound right about using the Huey? Was it common to use military AC for recreational jumping back in the day?
