I really don't know the answer to this question but.... jcalor are you the kind of person who would like to amend the 2nd amendment because the founding fathers weren't talking about assault rifles? Would you favor changing that amendment in the direction of greater control over the right to bear ams because we have lots of problems in the US with gun crime? You do realize that was written to guarantee that slaves and their children would be citizens? It would seem very easy to change it to children born to parents who have legal status, being from a tourist visa to a holder of a green card. Write the law to be affective in 5 years.

The above job mentioned was not about a manufacturing job but a service job. Just like all the trades, the wages have shrunk or stayed stagnent due to the influx of cheap labor. The democratic parrty, who I thought was for the working class, has sure let us down.

I hear all the time that illegal immigrants are just " honest and hard working people trying to better thier lives and that of their families". If just being hard working is the benchhmark for letting people in, why don't we extend this to all hardworking people of the world? hell let them all in, all hundreds of millions of them. I am bginning to think more and more that most people support illegal immigration, just for the simple fact that they despise the people who oppose it. People more than willing to bite off thier nose to spite thier face.

As I write this, I am with 20 or so kids on life support (PVS or permanent vegatative state), with no realalistic chance of recovery. I am not trying to be crast, but we have Christian group after Christian group come thru and do all types of praying with 0 results. These kids need to have an end to thier very real daily suffering, but most are complete codes do to thier parents religion. Most people think that children in comas are just peaceful sleeping children, This is not true. Many have constant spasms, seizures, go apnic and have to be revived and the list go on. They suffer on a daily basis.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess most illegals don't file 0 on their W2, rather they file exempt or they claim the max dedutcions and most have 0 federal tax deducted. I also think a large number work in the undergrond economy for cash. I have a friend, who had filed for a refund thinking he would get a few grand back. He then discovered that an illegal was using his name, SSN, and claiming exempt. Instead of a refund, he got a bill for 2,700, three years of hell, and fucked up credit. But he never complainded, because that would have made him a racist.
