  1. Gee Andrew, Maybe your confused by seeing me post about starting to jump @ age 16 myself or maybe you just can't fucking read. I guess you missed where I defend the right of those under the age of 18 to take part in the sport, you don't know me and don't know shit about me, but as early as 8yrs I was packing t-10's for students, when I grew in this sport most things came with a lot of responsibility and if I showed I couldn't handle that or do as expected of me by the grown ups running the show I didn't get to do the jobs I enjoyed doing, because someone else was ALWAYS at risk from my actions! I have no "obsession" with his age, other then clearly seeing statements made by him that stink to high heaven of that of a immature kid, if he was 21 and acting this way I would still call him on it. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

  3. Upset, who upset? I'm not. When I started @16 the adults expected me to act like an young adult man and when I got out of line they put me in my place till I could show I learned the diff between right and wrong or I didn't get to play in the adult rain deer games @ the dz, Period. Act like a kid be treated as one, act like an young adult man get treated like one. Part of being an adult is being able to admit when your in the wrong. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  4. That is really sad, maybe they all need to go find a new dz. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

  6. To a point. I have been copied on two PM's that were sent by two people I have a lot of respect for, becuase of their knowledge and wisdom in not only jumping but video as well. Both were told to fuck off and he could out fly them anyday, so to speak. (LOL, yea right) It's been thrown out there by many on here who have way more EXP then Jr. yet it falls on deaf ears, so be it. Only those who jump with him can stop it. Maybe one day when he is older and wiser may he think back and realize what an asshat he is being, we all were young and thought we knew it all too, once, those of us who have survived it now know we didn't know shit, we just thought we did. Thanks to all the older jumpers who didn't hold back on chewing my ass when I was a total fuck up and told me how it was, I owe you all alot for my well being. Thank you. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  7. That is very old school style of grounding, and no I'm not kidding, if your so stupid to do something that would require a grounding on the spot the other riggers won't repack you. (you really fucked up super big time for that to happen) While that maybe true, if you need to get a handle yanked, then more then likely there will be some jumpers being held back from kicking your ass. With that said the last time I saw handle yanked was in 85. even though there have been many who should have had it done, I can think of a few dead people who may not be dead now had it been done to those who took them out, despite being talked to time and again they didn't stop till someone else paid a price for their actions and in some cases even then they didn't stop. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  8. Ya know pissing into the wind only gets your feet wet. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  9. We all already know that. I'm not flaming you at all, but calling it the way I see it, your showing your IQ in your postings and proving to the whole world with your statements and posting of the video that your a danger to TDMs with your careless attitude towards others safety. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  10. No more like punk ass kids shouldn't be flying video if they have no respect and can't act like an adult in an adult job. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  11. It's called a premature opening of any of your canopies while under them and you coming to a sudden stop in to them, what is so hard to understand about that? What you think it can't happen or that the chances or so slim it's worth risking the life of the PAX. Ya know the dude who took out S.C. was told a number of times to keep from getting above the TDM, yet the shadow of the camera man on the drouge shot was really cool too and yet, the same as you he too thought "what danger" till he killed someone because he was on top of them when deployment came. WHO? Do you mean by "many respected" guys like Mike Mcgowan, Tom Sanders, Craig O'Brian, Norm Kent, Greg Gasson, Don Simonds, TC Weatherford, Wendy Smith and the like or do you mean your local Joe cool guys when you say "many respected"??? Risking your own ass is one thing, risking a PAX for no good reason other then "killer" video shots is another all together. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  12. That is no goddamm excuse to risk the life of the unknowing and non understanding of the real danger TDM PAX. TDM masters who condone these types of stunts should have their rating taken away for good and maybe even the USPA GM of the DZ, IMHO. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  13. Wow ! Holy bat crap, I guess no one ever gave the lad the cardinal rules of shooting tandem videos, or maybe he thinks the rule don't apply to him. Rule #1 Never above or below TDMS, period! Jarrett, you really need to read up on the death of Sean Crossman a tandem master who was KILLED by video flyer. It only takes a second to change other peoples life. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  14. Oh yea it has been known for as long as man kind has been throwing humans from aircraft that exposing silk, twill, or nylon at high speeds into wind can result in what is commonly called "a whacker". It has also been commonly known thru out the history of parachuting that the opening shock felt has nothing to do with the fabric the canopy is made out of to some degree, while many new and better fabrics have come along, it is system design that has reduced the over all forces involved more so then the fabric it is made out of and a canopy made out any fabric can and will spank you regardless of how neat you pack it. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

  17. Henderson, maybe???? I don't know where L.H. lives and jumps. I met and jumped with a WT Larry in skydive ATL last summer on some Carbone loads, but didn't get a last name (not Henderson I know I asked LH via email) I would like to find out who it was, because he walked up and handed me cash for my slot, I tried to turn it down but he refused to take it back. If I could find out who it was I would send him a cd of the still images. Edit to add attchment. Who is this Larry? Roy look like your friend? you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  18. Now what's this about making it up to me at Nationals???*** It's cheaper for me to meet @ SDC, then the left coast to jump with you. Hey at least you have had the honor of getting to jump with the "white top wise one", you'll learn more from him then me, anyway. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  19. Some old geezer wine'o who wouldn't leave the bar and jump........LOL we love ya Sparky. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  20. Hey now we had drinks and dinner at least. And besides that you were doing the team thing. I guess I'll have to make it up to you in Chicago @ nationals. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  21. It wasn't all that long ago that in 30 more jumps (170 +30=200) you would have been called an expert. (based on your posted number) you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

  23. When I was 8, I was packing T-10's because I didn't have the ass to hold tension, but I could flake and stuff with the best of them. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  24. John, The point is after 32 yrs and 4800+ jumps your out there still working/jumping with the new ones and not hanging at the dz being a skygod prick. They don't care if it's a 2,4,6,8,10,12,20-way, they just want to jump and have fun like the rest of us. How many people have you personally kept in the sport because you took the time to be nice and invite someone on a jump? While you may not know the number, I'll bet in 32yrs there is at least 1 or 2 if not more. I can tell ya in many of my travels I have been to dz's where I was going to do solos because I was a visitor and none of the EXP. would jump with me because they didn't know me, so I often would and have found a noobie or two also doing a solo on the load and I jump with them instead of burning a 20 dollar hole in the sky. Also while @ Perris this last trip, I was on a load, had planned on doing a solo. I saw a guy named Lee getting ready, I asked him what are you doing, he said a solo, I asked if I could jump with him and I said I would fly video and stills for him at NC. He said I don't have a license yet. I told him I didn't care and I was not a scared to jump with him and showed him my AFF rating to ensure him I was not a danger to him. He was very happy to have someone to jump with even if it was no contact and he was going to geek the cam. He had been there all weekend and done nothing but solos. Once on the plane riding up a staff member ask me who I was going to video and when I pointed to Lee, they said it was not really allowed because he had no license.(this staff person didn't bust my nuts about it for the record) Yes we blew it off and did the jump anyway, your damm right we did! And the guy took home some kick ass stills and had a great time. I'm 150% sure if anyone knows this guy, he would tell ya that it sucked to drive all the way from Reno to spend a weekend jumping and do nothing but solos because those who "were allowed" to jump with him wouldn't / couldn't because they were on staff and doing working jumps or becuase this guy didn't want to pay more for coaching. If more EXP jumpers would take the time to keep an eye out for people like Lee and take the time to befriend and jump with them instead of letting them fall between the cracks or not jump with them because it don't pay, maybe we wouldn't see many new people leave the sport as fast as we do these days. I mean they spend a ton of cash and everyone likes them as long as the check book is flowing, but as soon as we clean out their bank account for high priced student & coach jumps, tunnel time and new gear, we drop them like a hot potato because god forbid we let a rookie screw up our hot skydive. And ya all wonder WHY the sport is in decline these days. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
