I voted no. First, the owner of the board and his delegates are--and should be--the only persons who get to make such a decision. I don't always agree with how things are done here, and I have expressed that to some mods in PMs and once or twice in a post, but given that Sangiro pays the freight and the moderators do the work, I think they are well within their rights to do whatever they want, no matter how wrong I--or anyone--think them to be. The fact that those in control try very hard to follow the stated rules regardless of their personal feelings is to their credit. If you allow for a board-wide referendum to control, the only thing that can happen is that all hell will break loose. Second, not everyone has recurring encounters with the personality disordered, and they are therefore most vulnerable to the predations of the PD because they lack experience. But we're all going to come across at least one or two in a lifetime, and if we have something to compare the real-life people to, perhaps we will be quicker to see how we're being manipulated. I know who inspired this post, and I can tell you that from very early on, he has been a deja-vu experience for me.
