wow, I didn't think they got that much altitude. Shows how much I know about hot air balloons. I would loooove to do that soon. that and a helicopter jump. or anything else besides a cessna. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP.

I wear my goggles under my helmet, but one time during a 4 way, the strap slid up and forward. Just as we were turning the 4th point, I caught my goggles as they were coming off my head, slid them up my arm, waved, and left. I had my eyes shut as tight as possible cuz if I lost my contacts I would be guarenteed NOT to find the dropzone. I can't see a foot in front of my face. luckily, this story is uneventful and I still had my contacts. I do wear my goggles much tighter now... I totally agree with you. I am single, and was when I started jumping not too long ago, but skydiving has had an amazing impact on my confidence. I no longer feel the need to "please" people by the way I dress, etc. I am not saying I let my appearance go to hell, but I have a lot more confidence in who I am, not what I am wearing or if makeup is on. For the first time, I just feel real and strong-with or without a man.

went jumping all day on saturday...home in time for the game, but was so freekin tired from partying friday and jumping saturday, I fell asleep during overtime. Michigan girl here, so I am very pleased today to hear the results.

Personally, I am getting kind of tired of explaining myself to my non-skydiving friends. guys included. I guess if I wouldn't straight out blow someone off because they don't jump, but I would be leary of getting involved. Life these days is complicated enough trying to salvage my whuffo friendships. sheesh, I thought I spent a lot. I did static line training, and got it done in 17 jumps. That costed $765. Used gear with cypres was $2400. don't forget the jumpsuit ($150), goggles ($20), helmet ($50), altimeter ($120)......The amount I have spent on beer is still pending. I just started paying on that. ugh. that is where they get ya. but it is worth so much more than just money. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP.

MI here too, but I really value those 6-8 months. I would have to go with jumping--skydiving,that is.

perhaps I haven't had a severe enough cold to experience these oains, but the only problems I have had with jumping with a cold is the snot that ends up on my goggles. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP.
