my dz owner told me a story about when he used to jumpmaster. THe kid started bulging his cheeks when the door opened, and then he couldn't hold it anymore. so, the jm told the pilot to take them down, but the kid started shaking his head no. jm said, "you still want to jump?!" student nodded head strongly so jm let him. This weekend at my dz there was a tandem student that threw up under canopy. I just saw the end result--the messy student, the soaked harness, and the oh so lucky, just slightly puked on tandem master. Ha, ha, I bet the video will be good. Anyway, people always say they think they will pee themselves if they jump. 1 (last jump with my brother before he left for alaska) : 4(trying to work down my account! : 8 (this one is a mystery to me. The guys started razzin my ass about all the new things they added up that I did. I only counted 1. First 8way tracking dive. NO jumpin today!! yah, I guess I am mean too. If I am filling a student load, I like to razz em a bit. People did it to me. Look at them and get wide eyed "shit, I thought they fixed that engine. PLane didn't sound like this the last time I was on...." I was first out on a c-182 and I remember climbing out on the strut thinking am I gonna make it to the handles? Wait, what am I even doing out here?! That was the first time I was seriously nervous. I was pretty calm before that. yep, I pray everyday throughout the day. It is the only way I won't drive myself crazy worrying about and family and friends and bills--that is a big one, oh, and of course on the way to altitude. I don't go to church or anything, but I do feel like a have strong spirituality and I am happy with that. yikes, I am glad this thread is here. I am doing night jumps in about two weeks. Obviously, I have never done any before and am a bit nervous. Everyone keeps on telling me I have enough knowledge to do fine, but, this thread makes me feel a bit more in tune. when do you graduate? I am finally done after this last class this semester. I don't think I could take any longer--as it is, I dropped my minor so I could just graduate and get OUT! happy dunking.

I know a rigger that did a whole bunch of stuff to someone's rig, but decided on the safe side to jump it himself first. It was a good thing he did. He hooked the lines up backward. It flew absolutely fine, so he didn't cutaway, he landed it coming in backward--and almost stood up the landing. He definately will never live it down.
