  2. Sinceyou are probably going to have a problem with many news sources other than one which is run by the left. Why don't you do a Google search with Wesley Clark and Gen. Hugh Shelton as the search words and then take your pick of the many, many references. Please cite one credible source on that point -- please.
  3. Since Quade has been a Clarke supporter since he entered the race, this is a faif assumption. As we all know, Wesley "flip-flop" Carp was dismissed by Bill Clinton for "character issues" Think about that for a second.....dismissed by Bill Clinton for Character Issues and he wants to be our President.
  4. The quickest and safest way possible would be an immediate pull-out. We could just turn tail and run. Is that what you mean?
  5. Why don't you demo one and then decide whether YOU like it. I have a Diablo 135 loaded at 1.7:1 Nice canopy nice openings. Stable in winds. Not everyone likes them for the reasons given above but you aren't going to know whether its right for you until you put a few jumps on it.
  6. Actually, that was Bush's decision based on pressure from the Saudis. He said so himself in an interview on the History channel during a show about Gulf I. Here's Resolution 661. Please point out where it authorizes the removal of Saddam Hussein. UN RESOLUTION 661 (1990) Adopted by the Security Council at its 2933rd meeting on 6 August 1990 The Security Council, Reaffirming its resolution 660 (1990) of 2 August 1990, Deeply concerned that that resolution has not been implemented and that the invasion by Iraq of Kuwait continues with further loss of human life and material destruction, Determined to bring the invasion and occupation of Kuwait by Iraq to an end and to restore the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Kuwait, Noting that the legitimate Government of Kuwait has expressed its readiness to comply with resolution 660 (1990), Mindful of its responsibilities under the Charter of the United Nations for the maintenance of international peace and security, Affirming the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence, in response to the armed attack by Iraq against Kuwait, in accordance with Article 51 of the Charter, Acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, 1. Determines that Iraq so far has failed to comply with paragraph 2 of resolution 660(1990) and has usurped the authority of the legitimate Government of Kuwait; 2. Decides, as a consequence, to take the following measures to secure compliance of Iraq with paragraph 2 of resolution 660(1990) and to restore the authority of the legitimate Government of Kuwait; 3. Decides that all States shall not make available to the Government of Iraq or to any commercial, industrial or public utility undertaking in Iraq or Kuwait, any funds or any other financial or economic resources and shall prevent their nationals and any persons within their territories from removing from their territories or otherwise making available to that Government or to any such undertaking any such funds or resources and from remitting any other funds to persons or bodies within Iraq or Kuwait, except payments exclusively for strictly medical or humanitarian purposes and, in humanitarian circumstances, foodstuffs; 5. Calls upon all States, including States non-members of the United Nations, to act strictly in accordance with the provisions of the present resolution notwithstanding any contract entered into or licence granted before the date of the present resolution; 6. Calls upon all States to co-operate fully with the Committee in the fulfilment of its task, including supplying such information as may be sought by the Committee in pursuance of the present resolution; 8. Requests the Secretary-General to provide all necessary assistance to the Committee and to make the necessary arrangements in the Secretariat for the purpose 9. Decides to keep this item on its agenda and to continue its efforts to put an early end to the invasion by Iraq.
  7. Yeah, those Iraqi's were really putting up a resistance. We were really lucky that they offered the cease fire to us. And never mind that during the 1st Gulf War we were operating under the U.N. mandate which prevented us from going into Bagdad. Gotta love that U.N.
  8. Hillary for president. Again? You know, you make a good point. We were told we had elected a co-President. Two for the price of one if I recall. Wonder if she would be able to run for President since by her own admission whe already has been? In addition, since the lefties insist Bush wasn't elected, I guess that means this term doesn't count and he can run in 2004 and 2008. If not, does it mean Hillary "lied" about being Co-President? Does it mean the lefties are "lying" about Bush being selected, not elected? I'd like to hear Al Frankens learned opinion on this since he is destined to be the new "Leader of the Left".
  9. Which particular statement(s) in the speech were lies, then? On the topic of lies, have you read last year's State of the Union speech recently? Other than the fact there wasn't one original thought in the entire speech and it was just the same ole lefty-Bush hating rhetoric spin that gets debated on DZ.Com daily?
  10. Since we are doing *****NSFW****** Don't look at this if you are at work. You have been warned. Have you been a bad boy or girl?
  11. Can you tell me where the cheapest place to get ice cream is? I love ice cream. I saw it at Safeway, but they wanted $4.59 per gallon. Do you know what Costco charges? It's Breyers Moose Tracks. Thank you in advance.
  12. Bush is the mother sow and those who are worse off, are because they are too weak to fight their way to the govt. nipple. SUUUUUWEEE little pigs it's all momas fault.
  13. Gravitymaster

    Why?

If Bush had appropriated money to give to Jesse Jackson to be used to help blacks would any of those who have a problem with him giving it to Christian Charities be upset? Suppose it was to be used only to help blacks? You still OK with it? Suppose he appropriated money for foreign aid to a Christian Charity which helps starving children in 3rd world countries? You have a problem with that? Now show me where this money is being used to "ONLY" help Christians. There are many charities which are run by Christians that help ALL people in need. The infrastructure to get aid to the needy already exists so the aid will get to the needy more quickly and efficiently. Of course, he could just create another government agency run by bureaucrats who would suck off 80% of the funding to furnish their fancy offices and hire limosines. Yeah, that would be better right? Remember The United Way fiasco after Sept 11th?
  14. So why not just buy it at the place where its only #30.00? What, you want the Gov't to come in and set price controls so you don't hace to shop around?
  15. He lives in Northern Virginia where the buyer pays for the Buyers Agent. I've used one myself and had excellent results. Thats why I recommended it. One of the big advantages is that in Northern Virginia the real estate market is so hot that often a purchaser gets into a bidding war with other prospective buyers. It's very advantageous to have a Realtor who is knowledgeable working for you, the buyer.
  16. Hire a buyers agent and let them do all the work for you for a fee. The Buyers Agent is paid by you not by the seller. A good one will take it to the hoop for you.
  17. Can you give us a quick review of the book?
  18. My bad. You called it a baby originally. I didn't understand you meant a "fetus".
  19. Think about it for a second Bill. As critical as GWBs credibility was to him, how would he benefit by lying if he knew eventually the truth would come out? Why would he give his political enemies fodder? As for redefining words, I'll leave that up to the Clinton apologists since they seemed so adept at redefining the word "IS". ***Although for the most case, you could charitably say that rather than lying, he chose to deliver only hand-picked information (no matter how disproven or unsubstantiated) that helped him achieve his objective, which was support for a war with Iraq. If you're OK with that, then good for you. It bothers me to be fed an untrue story in hopes I will support a political decision. But that's just me.*** Nobody likes to be lied to. I guess the difference is I'm willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt until I'm shown convincing evidence to the contrary. To date the arguement "he lied" hasn't been shown to be very valid unless you are willing to admit Clinton, Blair, the U.N., John Kerry, Wesley Clark etc. were also lying because thats what you would have to admit if you are going to accuse GWB of lying. >But hey, then we wouldn't have anything to argue about would we? We could always argue about RSL's. *** ROFL or another cypres debate?
  20. So you are saying in order to not punish the girl for getting pregnant, by making her raise the baby, the alternative is to punish the baby by aborting it? You've lost me here. Isn't the abortion option the ultimate in carrying out the "my parents will kill me" senario?
  21. There's one major flaw in your arguement. The intellegence community and a great many politicians including Westly Clark, Bill and Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and every Senator who voted to go to war all thought he had WMD's. It's disingenuous for those who agreed there were WMD's to now try to distance themselves from their own judgement and to try to hang GWB out to dry. It's also wrong for you to constantly harp on the "he lied" mantra when you don't know for sure whether it was bad intellegence or not. But hey, then we wouldn't have anything to argue about would we?
  22. Very well said Wendy. I couldn't agree with you more.
  23. I am hoping the Gov't would start giving incentives for businesses to invest in space exploration. Problem is that until something is discovered on another planet that would result in a profiable venture, no business is going to be interested.
  24. Agreed. There was a time when a child would be reluctant to do something because they were afraid of what would happen if their parents found out. Now thanks to the ACLU they don't have to worry about it and can fuck up without consequence. Agreed, 100%. Unfortunately, when society fails to exercise good judgement, the government inevitably steps in. If people were more willing to step up, and act responsibly, we'd have far fewer laws than we have today. - Jim
