  1. G said "I think you're having an allergy attack here Snowmann. Every time the dog gets close to a solid scent trail you start wheezing and coughing and sputtering nonsense." I have to start wheezing and coughing and sputtering nonsense because the dog is getting close to a solid scent trail. It's part of how I keep Cooper unfound. See: because of what I do, it's not possible to find Cooper. Tough job. Luckily it's subsidized.
  2. Good summary of coalition deaths in Afghanistan at http://icasualties.org/OEF/index.aspx didn't realize the numbers were so big. 1532 total. IED deaths by year is still increasing. and increasing percentage-wise on an annual basis. 485 deaths this year. (299 US). 31 just this month (Nov) Aug-Oct spiked to mid-70s per month. 929 of the total deaths were USA. UK next largest with 236. Then Canada with 133.
  3. Now you know that is not true. Which "observer" would you pick to do your heart surgery ... or as your guide on a fishing expedition? bad examples. Both of those have stuff to observe and study. My point is there's nothing to study. Any damn opinion off the street is just as good. If good fishing was random, I could take you anywhere and be just as good as any fishing guide. Same with heart surgery. If there was nothing to study, and success was just luck, I'd cut you open and be just as good.
  4. There was a guy named Duane Weber who confessed on his deathbed though. He sold insurance and did some crime with his wife. She covered it up and posts to a forum on the internet giving relationship advice. For free. (edit) Duane apparently buried most of the money inside his dead dog.
  5. Georger I don't think you know McCoy at all. Remember everything about how deeply his wife was involved (it came out in later court case regarding the book. She was never charged though). I think you're creating a mythology that isn't just right. Now it's fair to say there's this weird thing between Vietnam, helicopter pilot, novice sport jumper, national guard, husband, mormon, and a guy who can then escape from prison etc. (not to mention he was going to BYU to be law enforcement) Even the circumstances of what happened on the prison escape are muddied. Who knows what McCoy was really like? No one. He could fly a damn helicopter in Vietnam though. (edit) I don't know why Georger is saying Carr was spot-on about McCoy. Carr used McCoy as an example of how an expert jumper would do it. McCoy was a novice jumper. Now if you want to say McCoy was an example of how a novice jumper would do it...okay.
  6. 377 asked about georger's comments on the show. Well I guess he made sense. But my general opinion is that no one has any information to say anything reasonable about who Cooper might have been. It's biased more by who the observer is, rather than any evidence about Cooper. Because there isn't anything to brainstorm about. Any random statement is as good as any else. So there's no way to critique anything.
  7. We made fun of the North Vietnamese using those biplanes to stage an aerial attack on the relay site... US company ATK has sold 3 Cessna 208 Caravan's to the "Iraqi Air Force". Fitted with two Hellfire's apiece. Attached is a pic of a practice loading up the hellfires on the Caravan. pic of it in flight here: http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/blogs/defense/index.jsp?plckController=Blog&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&plckPostId=Blog:27ec4a53-dcc8-42d0-bd3a-01329aef79a7Post:65bfc2c9-0f02-462d-8af9-ad7f060c30c8 Press Release from an associate of Snowmman Industries announcing the third sale. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/atk-delivers-third-ac-208-combat-caravan-aircraft-to-iraqi-air-force-70179037.html Snowmman Industries has just realized the Afghanistan Air Force needs some of these babies too and will act as distributor. 8. Suspect that helicopter was DEA/HCPD. sounds like something they do often http://cannabisnews.com/news/5/thread5267.shtml "The next day, nearly 20 miles away in Puna’s Hawaiian Paradise Park, Big Island vice detectives Burt Shimabukuro and Benton Bolos rappelled out of a Hughes 500 helicopter and into a grove of ohia trees to ruin some other grower’s day. In less than five minutes, Shimabukuro and Bolos had slid out of the helicopter, cut 110 2-foot pakalolo plants with their machetes, and flown off in search of more clandestine patches." ACLU has complained about the helicopter flyovers recently http://www.bigislandchronicle.com/?p=9797 Here's a picture of Benton Bolos showing off with his rappel gear circa 1998 (from page 9 of http://www.hawaiipolice.com/pdfDocs/AnnualReport98-99.pdf (attached) I also ran into some accusations of use of military helicopters on some drug raids in mainland US. Apparently some crashes too.
  9. ah Farflung..well done. you're in the right place here, my friend. Farflung? not.
  10. trivia: there's also been at least one passenger who has been on a hijacked plane twice. I think that's more statistically remarkable. You know about the mother/daughter/boyfriend separate hijacks too, right? Reviewing: What was the daughter's name: "Robin Oswald (DC-9 hijack) Mother: Barbara Oswald. (she hijacked a helicopter to try to free Trapnell. Shot) Robin also wanted Martin McNally freed (hijacker/jumper) with Garrett Trapnell (hijacker) Where did mom get the idea? Not much different than Jo. "In his book, "The Fox is Crazy Too", Trapnell discussed escape. Mrs Oswald reportedly had read the book, and reportedly watched when Trapnell said on "60 minutes" ..that he was fascinated by the story of Papillon, a French prisoner who escaped from Devil's Island. Mrs Oswald met Trapnell at the prison in April and fell in love with him...She died the next month, shot by the helicopter pilot.. "If I had made it in that helicopter...the American public would have loved it," Trapnell said later. "Escaping from prison is as American as apple pie" http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1298&dat=19781222&id=zqUQAAAAIBAJ&sjid=IIsDAAAAIBAJ&pg=3704,3516361 How did Duane pull the strings on this one?
  11. so there's this big table full of suits, and I've got the powerpoint cranked to 11, and they're all in the palm of my hand...not a cell phone to be seen anywhere....and I get to where I describe how Edgerton calls the retired FBI agent.. and I say "And guess who we've got for Bloom?" "The Fonz" Sharp intake of breath all around..following by serious nodding. That's when I know the project is gonna green-light and serious ka-ching is coming. But then, way down the end of the table...an old guy. No tie. No suit. Wearing sandals, which are propped up on the illegal Jatoba smuggled in by Peracchi from Brazil in the back of the company's Gulfstream IV. He looks straight at me. Just one question, which he knows has no answer. "What's Jo Weber gonna say?"
  12. This whole thing about how Duane hijacked 305 has got me thinking. I don't think I like the idea of modern-day Duane's interfering with the flying (or non-flying as the case may be) of the aluminum things with fuel tanks in the air. Sure there are moms and kids on board, but let's be frank: The more hijackings there are, the more taxes are going to go up. Or we'll have to subsidize more TSA ex-McDonald's workers to inspect our shoes. So it makes sense to round up all the likely Duanes, and ship them to Alaska. Jo's comments about gods have got me wondering. What god did Duane worship? Did he go to church? Did Duane and Jo go to church together? I'm wondering how this god thing plays out. If Duane was a god guy, did it work for him? Jo's throwing out this god thing, and we've not explored it fully. Did Duane burn the money as some kind of offering? Do people do that?
  13. Jo philosophized: "God has been taken out of the US and now the US is falling - our system is crumbling. " Yup, out with the bad, in with the good! Change is good. As Zazi used to preach: "Donuts, Coffee, Danish!"
  14. It's so cool that Duane Weber was Cooper. The only cooler thing is that Jo figured it out. Or maybe the coolest thing is how she did in in spite of all the roadblocks thrown in her way. And without violating any of her principles. I think it's a little bit cooler that a university professor is reading French comic books. Or that Bruce is banging on his monitor trying to get it to stay on when he boots his pc. Or that Jerry walks around in the woods. but it's all good. How come Brian Ingram is making the most money out of all this. How did he know to hold out till the internet age? Man, if we could put Brian and Jo together, we'd have something.
  15. Evidently the law is that cold food has to be held below 41 deg F. Zazi was found to have food at 54 deg F, and issued a ticket. Pretty stiff penalty ($300 mail-in). (edit) Cheney 2012. Now more than ever. http://www.draftcheney2012.com/
  16. Farflung: If everything you say is correct, why has there been a coverup in the USA of the DNA evidence showing that the father of the three children of Ms. Hesshaimer in Germany, is 99.9 percent likely to be Charles Lindbergh? see other details here: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/no-flight-of-fancy-german-siblings-prove-lindbergh-was-their-father-737284.html The USA coverup was apparently organized by 3 individuals with ties to Harry Whittington. Was Whittington's attempted murder connected to this?
  17. ? Why would the night clerk burn the money? It wasn't that cold that night.
  18. ? My point exactly. On days like thanksgiving, I give thanks. I give thanks for people thinking things thru for themselves, for seeking alternate opinions, and for using every inch of the magical brain they've been given. I give thanks that 2009 is not 1944 and not 1991 and not 1985. I give thanks that tomorrow is always unknown and what we can make of it. I give thanks that McCain threw the election on purpose, by chosing Palin. It is not dissent or assholes that we should be afraid of. We have to embrace dissent. Somehow we've forgotten that. I will never be like you. Multiply that by 200 million.
  19. Finally the democrats are learning, that it's not all about trying to be smart. Dumbing down the message so people can grok something ... it works. I like that Gibbs said it was a million dollars per soldier per year. http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/2009/11/gibbs-obama-to-emphasize-exit-strategy.html It's like I'm tired of hearing everything about Afghanistan and Iraq being some kind of loyalty test. Screw the loyalty. Save that for Ford vs Chevy pickups. Health care is socialism, but a million bucks per soldier per year makes sense for a country? Heck, a military organization is the most socialistic organization we have in the US? (yeah, Gibbs is not really accurate, but the point is valid, and close enough reality in terms of how we as citizens discuss and debate things) http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/2009/11/gibbs-obama-to-emphasize-exit-strategy.html The problem with any military thing, is that it implicitly has to be done on a budget. But people don't want to talk about tradeoffs of cost vs risk. It's the health care debate repeated. The only thing you're allowed to say is "Is everything technically possible at this point in time being done?" Which really just means "Is Snowmman Industries getting as much money as they can with a good set of Powerpoint slides?"
  20. Oswald was born in 1939 He was 24 in 1963 I've been listening to all of the tapes of Oswald when Stuckey interviewed him in 1963 here: pt 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AF0KO6w4LZg&feature=PlayList&p=5B0402C8953DDCEA&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=6 You have to connect the dots, but this recording seems to include references to Duane Weber. So he must have known Duane before August 17th, 1963. In the following video Dallas Deputy Sheriff Al Maddox talks about a note that Jack Ruby passed him in prison. Although Maddox denies it, I believe it detailed the Ruby/Weber/Oswald connection. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUiZBmm9xUA&feature=related
  21. "By the way, what in the H--- was Oswald really holding in those pics? Stranger still someone has his pic made with a gun on his hip and a rifle in his hand and holding up heaven knows what in his hands." Exactly. There are some who believe Duane Weber fathered Lee Oswald with a prostitute. If you look at Lee's marine photo below on the right, he looks a lot like Duane Weber.
  22. Good for you Jerry! Happy T-Day.
  23. Prove it's not true, if you know so much about Duane.
  24. I've been researching the rumor that Duane Weber took the famous backyard photos. (attached). See here's what doesn't make sense. The Imperial 620 Duo Lens belonged to Lee. And supposedly Marina took the photos. The Imperial 620 Duo Lens Camera is a very cheap and very light camera. Even if it slightly looks like a Rolliflex, it is not a professional camera. The body of the camera is entirely made of plastic. Both lens and the viewfinder are also in plastic. Here is a portion of Marina's testimony: DEPOSITION OF MARINA OSWALD PORTER TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1977 HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, SELECT COMMITTEE ON ASSASSINATIONS, Washington, D.C. ---------------------------------------------- .../... Q. This camera, do you recall whether to take pictures with this camera, you would look down into the viewfinder or whether you would hold the camera up to your eye and look straight ahead? A. I just recall I think it is straight. Q. You would put the camera up by your eye? A. Yes. Q. Do you remember what color the camera was? A. I think it was black. Q. Do you remember anything else about it? A. Not the name; no. But again, since I am not expert with the camera, that is what I remember, I think? .......... The questions that point to Duane: Marina should have remembered: - The color of Oswald Imperial camera was silver, this was a unusual color for a box camera in the 60's. - The large red knob, is used to the advance the film. - The viewfinder at the top of the camera (under the hood) displays a inverted 'horizontal' image. I have created some blowups of the photos, and thru university analysis have determined that the height of the camera operator, was +-5% of Duane's height. The way the viewfinder is used guarantees this. A team was sent to the location of the photo, and some reference points were still there for comparative measurements. The big question: Why was Duane there, taking the photos? One member of the team believes there is a comic book folded in the newspaper Oswald is holding. The 3rd photo is some early work from the university team. What you can see is that the newspaper being held is not "The Militant" because it is the wrong size. It appears to be a faked paper being used to hide a comic book. In addition, I have found in the Warren Commission evidence, a telegram confirming that Duane Weber was involved in procuring prostitutes for Jack Ruby. The telegram (attached) from Jack Ruby says "DEAR EDDIE, NOT INTERESTED IN LAST GIRL. PLEASE . WITHIN MY BUDGET SUBMIT TALENT/FOR INDEFINITE STAY" (edit) updated to the picture of the real silver oswald camera The first is the black version of the camera. How could Marina get this wrong? Now I'm wondering about Duane's involvement with Marina.
  25. "Carol Abraczinskas, a professor at the University of Chicago, was contacted by the FBI to help with a private investigation into the case. Her speciality is scientific illustration. She has been asked to look at the comic books to see what connection there may be with the infamous unknown hijacker, Cook said. Abraczinskas declined to discuss the case, saying, "We're not discussing the work right now, but you may hear from us in the future."" http://www.standard.net/topics/crime/2009/11/24/38-years-later-db-cooper-remains-mystery I suspect she has somehow tied the comic book to Duane Weber. Duane Weber read at least one book we know of. We may hear from "us" in the future. She did not say who "us" was. us could be US, as in United States, as in Other Government Agency. Ties to South Africa were kept out of the article.
