Money and safety, years ago I needed to use the wing cut away asap. I grabbed one wing and of course the apposing leg release, They were pretty close to each other back then. I like having less handles to get in the way of reaching the important ones.

It sounds like rounds 4 and 5 will be pretty OPEN or creative but it won't be long before smooth operators will nail these. This could mean the end of flocking and the bent knee down syndrome. Serioiusly big suits will be a handycap. Oh the humanity. -

Talk was brought up that the comp could actually be done via submitted video. This might allow more teams from far away to enter that currently can't. Would you be willing to consider this in the future? -
Leg release systems were needed on the older suits due to the narrower stance. Today just about every suit has a wide enough stance that you can do some running if you need to.

A lot of value in the skyflyer 3, I sold mine in that range and it was in great shape. Outside of having different planforms that stress different areas of the body and having backfly vents the 3 can't be beat for the price you can get them used. I don't think the 3-s, 6 or blade are as quantum new and improved over the old three that they are worth the new suit price. The 3-s and 6 are plagued by thick mylar that cries to by removed and the big vG's are pain to the owners. The blade does have great inflation and backvents but I don't think the straight up performance is better than the Old three. Arm stress to me felt the same. Old threes are great for flocking. Guys with newer suits in their case still go back to it for regular flocks. Its the best suit Robi designed......for BM.

Bring your new Acro 2 in May, Glen......... Definitly won't have one by then ( more shrubs to plant ) But you might. I should start buying the used suits off your back. They fit and they are the right color.

The DZ has a DC-9 not a KC-135. I'm good but I'm not good enough to fly out in front..... unless I'm doing the atmonauti then there is tremendous lift and speed. Enough to look down into the cockpit of the craft you've just exited from. JP you are a real America hero for bringing this to us.

If you want to put things into perspective and on the same playing field, the wingsuit instructor program and the discipline would have to make absurd claims. Nothing absurd about the claim to being an extension of the groundwork laid down by JPF. JP posted this himself in the WS forum, Feb 22 2005 the tread is gone now though.

And no amount of new flooring will save you then... you should actually go for it; the suit's worth it. If it comes off of James's back its a used suit Mr Megaphone, sheeze..... the whole world can hear you. I still haven't done the flooring yet but the wife did ask me to do a little gardening and I'm just about finished.... just about finished off my shoulders.
