  1. You and Callentine need to get a room and leave the rest of us without those visuals.
  2. Justin will you be at Elsinore 24-25?
  3. Pretty dismal, I can't fly on my belly without wings as training wheels.
  4. To Mel: I can't imagine you Mel somewhere in your field of work outside of rigging where you don't have access to your email or this forum. You came back last time after a long hiatus and said this would never happen again. "The logistics were worked out" or so you said. Come on man....we supported you for a long time please step up to the plate and at least return the equipment to these people so they can move on. I work in the field That Mel is performing some contracting in as a customer. When this type of work comes up it has time sensitive window to get it done or else. The contractors go in are tied to their cell phones and laptops. Working very long hours. Dealing with unforseen issues. Living out of hotel rooms. Taking calls into the late hours, early start times. No weekends or holidays off. Writing reports in their spare time, of which there is none. Don't forget about dealing with the old lady at home who will always have an earful for you. Some of these guys never sleep. I'm sure he has access to his laptop but I doubt he has a spare second for non contracted work related email. I waited six months for my H-mod ( not from Mel). When you get it you will love the mod.
  5. Sean you have a big carbon foot print. = your personal consumption of fossil fuels, in your case Jet A to and from every WS event or boogie plus rides to altitude. Not related to arts and crafts.
  6. You know we are going see him on 60 minutes for kidnapping some hot business women, keeping her locked in his basement dungeon but only using her frequent flyer miles off her credit card to get to all of these boogies. Sean you have a big carbon foot print.
  7. Looking for a lightning 126, pm with any details.
  8. Sorry I missed the niners. Anybody got pics?
  9. Yuri makes his first sincere post in months if not a year and you ridicule him? You are a mean, mean wingsuit pilot secret agent Tony.
  10. Nope Photoshop actually turns out much better results than that. He really went to the circus and stood in front of one of those fun mirrors.
  11. Some guys have got all that flapping material beating them up or they are distracted by it. Somebody complained of bruizing from a magnet whipping them. When I snap my stuff up I pull it up on my belly, there is no fabric scoop hanging out there.
  12. I think what Dave is referring to is that description of turn as a swoop and how it gives modern real swoopers a bad name. But then we all know all kinds of people bust them selves up on a canopy from ultra current modern super swoopers to the unskilled under lightly loaded canopies that would turn much lower than Dave ever would. Someone wanted a definition of low turn at Lodi and thats what they got. Everybody has their threshold. I guess enough is enough for Lodi.
  13. Both are good modern flockable backvented suits. Similar in design different in planform and materials.
  14. I don't think that is correct. Sounds like this is the definitive answer straight from Bill: so I asked if I start my turn from above 500 feet and it lasted longer that 5 seconds would that be O.k.? they answered; Quote No we can't accept turns like that. Thank you, Bill Dause We were encouraged not to spiral anywhere above the overall landing area below 2000' last weekend. You should be able to work on your modern swooper single 90 carves though. But call ahead and make sure so that you don't get fired.
  15. Land it bitch! Seriously your attachment looks like a bad photostrech job but since Tony-Jeff are working on something nifty to come, Im waiting.
  16. You might consider a package deal of four CReW Tri's to fledgling team. The tri is still popular for Crew outside the US. The nice video someone posted a few post down of the russians are on small Tri's.
  17. Are these tri's the hybrid or straight CReW version? The hybrids might have more appeal as an all around canopy that can dabble in CReW but are exceptable for freefall and higher deployment speeds. I have one for playing around and love it. The strictly CReW version isn't recommended for terminal deployments and that limits its appeal domestically, which is traditionally a PD lightning centric market when it comes to CReW. I've been told that the CReW Triathalons and Lightnings are not compatable for mixing in serious CReW work. I'm having a blast on my Tri but use my lightning for bumping cells. edited to add Wendy beat me
  18. I thought it was because of our tight 'buns'? Always a plus tightmax.
  19. The second time we did it, for the video, is when you guys/girl flew in the fourth row as a line. As the far wing, that visual was just cherry!
  20. Yeah, Dingo was doin some kick-ass hip flying and Kristen with very few jumps on her new suit. Forth row rules. God, that was fun! I'm already having withdrawls. Thanks again Avery.... for everything.
  21. Acceptance by the FAI is something for the whole dicipline..its not a race as to which continent or east/west coast group gets things right first...though I know its all been done in the USA bigger, better, faster, tighter and better before... Yeah sure like Craig Breedlove didn't break the land sound barrier first?!? I'm not familiar ( obviously) with the process ( formality) of being recognized by an international records keeping organization, but I know its for all of us you boob. I didn't turn this into this country against that country situation. You show me a picture of an XX formation and thats what you got. You produce data from calibrated instrumentation and thats what it is. But just like in the case of Breedlove the first group to produce a picture of a formation gets the credit. It would be a shame for a secondary group to come along later and say ours is the first because its "recognized". Hopefully I spelled that clear enough for you.
  22. Just to clarify.. 'them guys'...not 'you guys' Im part of a team that flies under the Birdman name, but my all my gear has been payd for and aside from load organising for a DZ, I pay my own jumps. Im not a dealer, or in any way affilliated with any company in an official form, or recieving a single penny of income from that direction... Oh believe me I know your team is self funded and very generous with your personal resources with no financial backing from bird-man inc, no- commish, travel expenses. Thats why you guys are my favorite first flight demonstrators......after myself. I also realize that there is very little profit margin for any one wingsuit manufacturer, specially one that has to re-make a suit a few times for various production boo-boos. Any real money left over goes to pay for Nick Rhode's mascara. Oh yeah baby hungry like a wolf!
  23. Its a four sided triangle. And it has no harmful magnets.
  24. Post the video, post the video! Yes and yes please.
