  1. If I had five bucks for everytime someone approached me on the DZ with their "unsolicited" negative opinion about an Attair product I could buy a custom colored Onyx. In most of these events they themselves have never tried the canopy. I don't have A single problem with your personal grief with Dan P. I see how your ideals clash with most of the things he says, Thats fine. You admit to jumping and even liking the Alpha/cobalt as a canopy. The larger part of your beef is straight up against their marketing and maybe a perceived lack of ethics. I respect all this swoopy. My post also isn't about the people that have actually tried the gear and got slammed by the mystical 2-stage opening. Yes I know there are those out there. I'm not picking on you in my post above, the one you quoted and responded too. I'm picking on the ones that are quick to spout off their unsupported opinions ( or regurgitating opinions ) about gear ( not just Attairs but all kinds of gear ) they have never, ever tried themselves. I'm also speaking up against the dot com feeding frenzy that may just push many manufacturers on here to just regard this place as a bunch of kooks.
  2. The general population attitude on DZ.com is not favorable to Attair. A rep will never win a discussion here. There are other reps that have taken the occasional beating regardless of their particular skydiving related product but Attair has taken a lot of bad press.....here. Sometimes the negativity is warranted, but not as frequently as it seems to be dished out. There are a great many "armchair aerodynamists" and "beerlight swoop experts" here. And tons of lemmings following them along blindly. If you like some piece of gear thats great! If you don't like some of it, thats great too because there really is a lot of other good gear out there that you can go to instead of being limited to what you don't like. Too many choices and most of it good to fantastic and getting better every few years. Even though I jump Attair products I'm not just defending Attair as much as calling out all the so-called experts that have attacked, in some way or another, a container or canopy or wingsuit designer without the back ground to do so. In most cases you will find the majority of these detractors have never even tested the product in question themselves first hand. If they have and they don't like it ( and I can respect that) thats fine. But what about the blind army of mindless lemmings standing behind them that haven't themselves tested the product? I run into so many lemmings I don't know who actually has tested what and which ones are just repeating something they've heard from some other lemming. We stand to push away the reps and designners from these companies so that they will not be available on DZ.com for advice or discussion . Not to worry as the "experts" I speak of above will fill that void with advice about what brand is best for me.
  3. I hate it when my fan belt brakes too!
  4. I thought it was going to be a link to my local dz, but surprisingly it's a link to a meet-a-cutie website. I'm sure it must still be , in some way, sponsored by your DZ. Look into it.
  5. Thats where I bought my chilean love slave. I saved on shipping by combining her with the cost of shipping some antique tractor parts. Now if I can just be the top bidder on this slightly used banjo.
  6. Can the smoke dye your suit? I've seen marks on an old classic from smoke. It looks like bleach chemical burns. I like Jim Wallace's bracket but would like the holder to be a little more stand-off for wingsuit jumping.
  7. My H-mod will dive faster than before and it flairs a little stronger. I got the mod for the dives not for the openings which were perfect before. Now the openings are unbeliveable.
  8. Dat boyz got an octapus on his 'ed.
  9. Sorry picture two & three was shot in Arizona. Thats the river. The mountains and vegitation give it away the boobies close the deal. The river also doesn't have blizzardsor hurricanes. Oh I love river nakedness
  10. They are looking for continuety of character and methodolgy to problem solving. So responses shouldn't be radically different unless the situations are radically different.
  11. Fantastic editing! I love the music too, boy! I was very nice flying with you Costyn. Glen
  12. No I don't. I knew a guy with an exec based at the Reno-Stead airport, but that was a while ago. I have the business card of an outfit doing jet turbine conversions to the exec based right here in Perris. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a CH-7 Angel. But I think there are only two in the whole country.
  13. Is it done smooth and gradually or is more of a snap maneuver? Scotty what you got that is Rotary powered?
  14. Nice review, Whats a graviton? It sounds very fun.

Its been posted no less than 3 times, but here we go. Due to circumstances beyond our control the wingsuit event has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience. No inconvenience, just curiousity. I reviewed back in the posts and didn't see anything thats why I posted my question. I knew Babba Lou held a little event earlier. Wasn't sure if that used up all of the steam. Just curious to see if anything will be be put together in the short term. Many thirsty faraway travellers make Eloy a home about that time of year, even some with wings. If things get that bad Perris has a new BMI we can lend you, to help get things back in control.
  17. Dont forget to thank the people that pied you. That was at least $50 bucks of quality baked goods not just topping in a tin.

Whats the word on Eloy's wingsuit happenings during the October Holiday boogie? Flockers want to know. Anybody LOing, skill camping, manufacturer demoing? Anybody planning to attend?
  19. Congratulations Chelle! I knew you were a bird person the first time I saw you. I wish I would have been there to see it in person.
  20. I am a nobody when it comes to canopy flight, but i got rid of my crossfire2 in order to keep my H-modded cobalt. I want to try a Katana out, but it would have to be nothing short of F'in spectacular to make me give up my cobalt. Who did your H-mod, Howard Adams or Joe Bennet? There are a few differences. Some people say there is some similarity to the factory comp model. BTW I love my H-mod nothing opens softer.
  21. Matt, Unlike a rigid frame aircraft where the polars would be the same for every unit built. A wingsuit would have polars vary for every different body that slipped a suit on. And they would also gradually change for the same body when, say for example, that flyers skill improves or degrade when that same flyer is tired.
  22. OK... where are the pics of you in leather? preferably standing next to your water heater.
  23. Chelle didn't you get a bike about a year or so ago? Something sporty and racey?
