  1. Does anybody truly utilize soundtrack, that comes with final cut express or pro, for the stuff videots do? If you play with it can you give me some examples of the stuff you use it fer?
  2. Pm him @ Skyflyer3. As for myself I might be out next weekend weather permitting.
  3. I'm wearing sweats waiting for a Hollish guy to come over so I can trade a Wingsuit for Web. WHOA! I love ya man but unless you have several other spare wingsuits, trading a wingsuit for a few minutes of tech servitude is Gay! Well, unless you are going to get a whole shit-gob of sex for it...... but from a hollish man that is WAY-GAY!!!
  4. Anyone know who this -must- be from?! "When I'm not programming, I perform magic. I like solar applications, optical stuff, cool technology and anything to do with radio waves. I juggle and twist balloon animals. I bungee jump on occasion, and I would like to experience skydiving soon." Sounds like a CReW jumper I know, but he didn't mention boobies in this resume so it can't be the same guy I'm thinking of.
  5. Organizers of the swedish HERC boogie should have that number.
  6. Here we go again. Reinventing the wheel. The primary reason spring-loaded main pilot chutes disappeared during the late 1970s was the massive burbles created by the massive suits (Kreuger Balloon Suit, etc.) that were fashionable back then. Those huge suits created such massive burbles that spring-loaded pilot chutes hesitated for several seconds before they did anything ... like lift a d-bag out of your container. Rob you are not the first rigger /long time jumper that brings up this very juicy but forgotten by the newer jumpers historic fact. I've heard several "new things with springs" concepts floated by new visionaries. Much to the grumbles of riggers and jumpers that can recall the older gear. But yet I haven't heard the concept utilizing a large explosive charge like in the ballistic recovery chutes used to softly bring back an entire aircraft. That will teach that pesky burble.
  7. How does the velcroless cut away pillow and loop work? Is it like the keepers on velcroless toggles and risers? Maybe Zee could take a picture of them for us?
  8. Y-base mentioned the angle of incidence (angle between body and wing ) Robi is there little, even subtle, ( or no) angle of incidence change from the suit to the wing in your suit designs? I read a review in these forums when the V-1 first came out that eluded to this incidence difference. Maybe I miss understood what the reviewer was taking about.
  9. Nice job Jason.... oh and Dave! I like it!!!!!! Keep em comin.

    GS-1

I got to check out a GS-1 today. Just an inspection not a demo flight and it wasn't attached to a rig. Wasn't able to talk to the owner about it. I gotta say it looks like a quality product, very nice workmanship. It looks very labor intensive to build compared to other wingsuits. I have a question regarding the design element of three tail surfaces for anyone who is familiar with why the tail is the way it is. I can understand trying to keep the burble as small as possible ( if thats even a reason for the tail design) but are there other reasons for, what looks to me like, a complex tail section. I'm not being a critic and am very aware that this suit is not about glide ratio with speed but more about slow glides and fall rates, I am just very curious about this part of the design.
  12. San Diego was always a tandem factory. Its just that the previous manager didn't disregard the regular jumpers. Improvements were made that were nice for the regulars and AFF students as well as the tandem side of the house. It was a nice balance. I'm curious to see how that trend turns out.
  13. So if Skydiving is a Cult... Who is the Leader? Bill Booth?? Nope, its Billvon, you can call him bagwhan-rushneesh, but only after you join the cult officially!
  14. If it keeps them both quiet for a little while.
  15. He doesn't realize there's a small but growing group of women that enjoy hot man on man action the same way most men enjoy woman on woman action. She doesn't realize that there is a group of guys that don't really get off on girl on girl action unless they are in the center of it . Making it girl+lucky guy+girl action. Few things are as boring a two girls that don't need you anymore.
  16. 2) If you are going to report me to the FAA, make sure I violated an FAR first or you are just wasting everyone’s time. Derek Make sure the FAA cares. They usually don't unless your violation kills someone or you fly too close to someone with political power's property and they still have got to complain in the proper prescribed manner. The FAA make really bad cops, unless you fill in all of their blanks for them on their police report they won't do nuffin.
  17. Besides, I don't need no stinkin' sorority. I can get all that they offer and more at pretty much any boogie. They have more lesbians than most ,but not all, boogies. Still lesbians without booze isn't any fun.
  18. Thats kind of strange being your in Cali. The guys that fly a lot have their S-3s and have kind of settled in, I'm sure if they were buying now instead of several years ago they would have more V-1s in that group. Newer jumpers that I know are very impressed with some of the middle range suits that are comming out but they are on order comming soon. Some of the norcal DZs probably have a more diverse bunch of suits. I'm sure this will change in just a few seasons.
  19. only when the drywaller wasn't looking! Electrician's joke sorry.
  20. I'd happily let you jump mine but you called it ugly. Funny, I've never seen an ugly wingsuit. In fact I've yet to see any of the Phoenix suits in person other than one Vampire. I hope that changes BTW. Used suits are a bargain and a good route to your final high performance suit. But just like some people don't need the highest in performance and want to be nothing more than the occasional social flocker and put more emphases on custom colors and style, then a new suit would be right for them.
  21. Are you telling me the skills camp practices are out of the ACME handbook?!!????? Why I just happen to have mine right here with me.
  22. But the Phantom misses out on a couple of the points I made in favor of the GTi as a good first suit. What are these points that the phantom is lacking in? Just curious.
  23. the funny thing is - I am now editing video on my laptop, and having great results... I have an external firewire hard drive in case my 80 gigs on my laptop is not enough... The DVD burner means I can even make DVDs in the waiting area of the tunnel for teammates, like I did last time I was at Eloy... Which one did you get?
  24. I do... Indeed... as do I. Ditto here! ...... But he can't possibly be from Belgium because he likes american beer.
