  1. I need the ones that block all telemarketers.
  2. An over-pressure wing suit would require perfect sealing and some form of compressed air bottle. Or, bleed air from the mini-jet turbine's compressors section, after its cooled some.
  3. The geezers I'm refering to are typically retired, frugal, experimental aircraft enthusiasts. Cheap old home builders. Oshcosh, sun'n'fun, and Chino are crawlin with them. Some insist on "torching" aluminum. Its really brazing. All of the guys that do bikes, Rods or 4x4 s do TIG. Mostly because there is more volume and profit in these hobbies. I still feel sorry for the guys torching cromemolly, again TIG is they way to go here. If the little boys assembling bicycles can swing it so should the homebuilders. As for you Mark, I can let you play on my miller and have you doing polished "dropped dimes" that rival the uncontested beauty of a well placed Pearl neckless! Yes I'm just a Punk but I drop dimes with the best.
  4. If I could spell I would be a teacher of the TIG process. But I can't so I'm a Do'r of the TIG process.
  5. I do it all the time. I only do it with the TIG process. I know geezers say they can do it with a gas torch but that looks like bird turd. And its why the TIG Process was invented in the 40's. Little MIG buzz boxes can't do it, the bond is weak. You can do it with an expensive pulse MIG machine but the wire has to be pulled at the gun ( big wire spool gun ) and in the end it still looks like a MIG job, AKA a big point and shoot robot. Cleanliness : everything, base metal, filler rods and associated tools have to totally cleaned. I have dedicated tools for use so as not to get bits or other metals in there grinding wheels for tungston, wire brushes etc. Melted AL is porous and will suck in any impurity. In doing steals you can use solvents: acetone, thinners etc. NOT in Aluminum, no VOCs! You can use degreasers like simple green or dishwashing soap and these must be completely rinsed with clean water and dry. Wave balance controls will help with penetration Vs purity but they are not a requirement. You have to be a pig for comfort. And it helps if you have experience acetelene welding steals because the TEMP control is similar although not as forgiving with Aluminum. Hope this helps.
  6. Its just a shower........ in France.
  7. Hey this tread is about the Acro, Avery's pink Acro and how all the chicks I live with dig it, not about back flying. Please get back on topic guys.
  8. Allright flockers, At what version of the neptune software did your neptune stop shutting down the timer after a few seconds of flight? This may sound very circa 2004 to most of you which was the last time I updated the firmware. Do most of you have the latest and greatest or was there a slightly older version that worked better for flocking? I'm about to update is why I'm asking.
  9. I did not ask for a Vampire with stick-on backvents. I said that I would like a suit with big wings that inflated in any orientation. I'll sell ya my backvented-airlocked S-3. It was Jari's personal suit until the S-3s with mylar came out then Kimmi (#1) sold it to me. Its even got a BM instructor patch on it, won't charge extra for that.. It stays inflated in any orientation.
  10. [......but willing to learn. Whoa! We just put a few jumps on a couple of borrowed Acros. Wow, this has got be the easiest suit to fly acrobatically. I would say more so than my matter 2. No over- rotation on barrel rolls. It seemed to us that the suit flew on the verge of instability, compared to our S-3s, yet the suit was never unstable. I guess thats the sensation after flying a few hundred jumps in bigger suits. Very nice construction. Lots of reinforcement in the right areas. Better materials in the booties. Someone mentioned you can get back vents in the phantom making it a Phacro......... I wonder if you can get back vents in a Vampire making it into a Vampiro? BTW Avery the wife really liked your Pink Acro. She said its the by far the best contrast from everything you might see on a flock. I think she is going to buy me one just like yours.
  11. Avery, I think you are fabulous! But If I thought you were hot then that would make me gay. Currently not.......but willing to learn.
  12. Well Ed, pinky has solved problems of "early base recognition" that plagued a handful of jumps on the wingsuit weekend. This may start a trend in large flocks. Avery I love the pic. Its going to be my new desktop!
  13. --- Best all around can do everything and is extremely easy to fly would be the Acro --- Couple guys I know fly their Acros right along with a couple of S-3 flyers. You have to punch the S-3 to get away and its by no means a hellish extra speed you get on the 3's. But what is this Phacro? Oh my head ia spinning now.
  14. Biased, nahhh... I personally know two loyal BMI's who have stated " they must get a phoenix suit" I know they are un-biased.
  15. I know of just one other guy(in the U.S) that owns an S-Fly. It is a great suit for flocking. But that is a country that has banned french fries . Kris. There is at least own S-fly owner at Perris. I have to admit I haven't seen it flown but the owner is killer in the sky.
  16. It's wingsuit porn. I'm touching myself right now. Nice vid!
  17. YA so I know some guy (me) who has done a wine beer bong or two, I threw up on every attempt. A side note I used the mighty franzia That stuff won awards in France ( no kidding ) so it has to be good. It must have been something you ate.
  18. Any word on how that whole SEND THE STATUE OF LIBERTY BACK TO FRANCE!!! thing worked out? Yes the new plan is to sink it as an artificial reef at a dive resort. With care takers trusted to keep coral from growing on select parts of the statue's face giving the statue a beard of coral.
  19. For myself I'm interested in both an Acro/V-2 demo ( or v-1 ) from PF. I ask about the BM program for a possible wingsuit boogie down in the south coast. I know they used to supply local BMI's with suits for first flight promotion. I was led to believe the program has tailed off some. Pf starter suits would also work for first flights.
  20. Dingo needs to post some of the stills from the wingsuit weekend. Or access to them. They were purdy.
  21. Do BMI's still have access to factory demo suits for upcomming boogies or has there been a change in the old program? Whats the scoop?
  22. yeah? well inserting a catheter into a guy's penis cold turkey is fun as well....... I've had that done a few times. After the first I was traumatized. After the third its not so bad. pretty soon I will kind of like it........it helps if your nurse has pretty eyes and small hands.
  23. You need to watch the base jumping video by VKB and compare with your dreams. I can't believe what I see when I watch it.
  24. Cool, I'll bring wine and my rifle for entertainment. Be safe Ed You can't bring a rifle from Cali to Texas. Customs there will tell you to come back when you get a bigger one.
