ok, so don't flame me for my inquiry. But, why fight on the ice? As far as my knowledge of the sport, it's virtually ZERO, what happens to hockey players that fight? What's the penalty? Other sports not only eject players for the entire game, but fine the living shit out of them. Do hockey players incur a large monetary fine for fighting? If not, why?

Sounds like you found a great lady! My wife used to give me crap all the time about flying jumpers every weekend. It was always, "Do you have to fly this weekend?" or "Why do you have to fly Saturday AND Sunday?" Then, one weekend she said...., "Hey Buck, why don't you go flying." Then the next weekend, "Hey Buck, aren't you going flying?" We divorced about......4 months later.....

When I was in the military (just retired), we received on average a 3% annual raise. Of course, the last four years of my active duty were under President Bush were awesome with annual raises around 5% - 7%. Now that I'm a civilian, my company gives a whopping 2.1% I hear.......consider yourself lucky....

I love raw oysters and always knew of a risk of contracting hepatitus... But nothing like you described.....Holy shit!!! Good Luck.....

Aw, come on Lee. You can do it buddy. I wanna see those pics. I'm returning to OSH this year (my third trip to mecca!), and absolutely love flying in, pitching a tent and being woken up to the sounds of radial engines....ah....bliss.....

Hope the US learns quickly and reviews its approach. (Maybe by January) Seriously, quit lumping everyone into one category. Although I have to agree that US involvement in Iraq, is the right thing to do...

So . . . lemme get this straight . . . we're GOING to be doing this?

Your right..... Although it irks me when a few try and impress others with their worldly military "knowledge"... -
Golf states like Arizona, California and Florida? That was excellent....

EG&G has been making sensors of this type for decades. They're cheap, easy to place and can monitor traffic 24/7. They're used around sensitive military installations all around the world. It would be -trivial- to have laid some to cover lines of drift (roads, passes) to give us a heads up on escape routes. You mean to tell me they haven't done this yet? What the heck were they waiting for? having done the sidestraddle hope in full combat gear less than a hundred yards from those ancient sensors i can tell you they really really suck... the new stuff we've fielded in the last year is like comparing your wagon to my Ferrari, but of course training, fielding and implementation takes time.. using the old shit was close to pointless, except under very controlled conditions, so ‘we’ chose not to except for force protection where there was much better control of the traffic in the area and so LOTS fewer false cues.. your trying rather hard to make our military leaders and collection managers look silly without understanding the limitations of the sensors at all.... stop freaking on the election day propaganda and recognize that the military has been doing everything they could with the resources available and the priorities given since day 1. Zen, plus evidently they haven't heard the term "loose lips sink ships"....... Seems like a lot of ex-mil (well maybe they were in, who really knows) personnel on here willing to chat about shit they probably shouldn't be talking about in a public forum.....Go get em Zen! -
Is Bush's use of 9/11 footage in campaign ads in poor taste?
Beerlight replied to PhillyKev's topic in The Bonfire
Careful, don't lump everyone into one basket.... I agree that there must be a rather large recruiting effort going on. Gotta fill all those empty slots in their ranks........ Terrorism is not gonna stop. Nor is it GWB's fault either..... It's not one persons fault that the world has gone to fuck. But, I can tell you this much. The US can always be counted on during a time of crisis. And you can go do your "research" on that one. Anytime theres a natural disaster, the US lends a hand, or when some third world bully country tries to take over another, guess what....we're there. Hell, I know everyone wants to blame someone on the worlds woes, thats a natural human reaction. Anyway, next time your country or some other country is in trouble, who they gonna call? -
Sounds like there's more to this than your letting on....IMHO
-
No thank you! I'm about sick of all these political threads...... I get enough via the TV.....
