  4. I used to use the S-word up till I was about 15. Then one day my dad said to not use that word ever again......To him "sorry" was a degradation of character or something......truly negative........ Anyway, I actually stopped using it then and there. Now I say "pardon" all the freakin time!!!!!!!!!
  5. And you believe that it should be applied to prisoners during a time of war? Wow! I'm going to become a lawyer and instigate the next war. I'll be rich representing all of the prisoners! War? I don't recall a declaration as required by the Constitution of the United States of America. Jeez, war/no war, declared/not declared, constitutional/unconstitutional... To be or not to be, ....WTF.......

  7. Socialist leader Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero has friends in Al Quaida..... Now, a quick break from Middle East satisfies his new regime.........
  8. Fine, since everybody is evidently choosing sides. I will stand beside....Pajarito. I also choose to support and defend. Attack my country, suffer the consequences. And god forbid, if another country attacks your country, we shall help you defend it also.........again. Can't wait to see how my response is turned around....... Buck

Yep, that's about the size of a kitten......
  12. How many of those do you do in one mission? And what is the object of the exercise? (Other than havin a sweet time floatin around!) It's a perk of my job. We have several colleges in town that are flying experiment packages on board. I train them in our altitude chamber, then they get to fly on the Comet. Normal day on the KC-135 is anywhere from 40 to 50 parabolas. Out over the gulf of mexico. Takes about 2+ hours to complete...... Soooo much fun....
  13. So, I have a mission on NASA's zero-G aircraft next week. Roughly 25 - 30 seconds of zero-G on each parabola. Can I log that as freefall time?!!! That's if the planes not broke again!
  14. I read that it was just a one-off technology demonstrator. They aren't considering going into production of that model... or are they?
  15. a. Can you live with your parents? b. The Army is in dire need of helo pilots. No, you don't need a degree, but rather the aptitude. Call your local recruiter. c. Cut those f%^&& credit cards up. d. And god forbid, you may not be able to jump as much as you'd like. e. Keep your chin up......think of it as just a life challenge and nothing more. Adversity defines the character of a person.
  16. 1) 9/11 - I was training student pilots on parachute landing procedures and swinging them off our tower performing PLF's. I notice my Colonel is running towards us from out building (i remember saying, that's weird), and he tells us a plane just crashed into the towers, and bring to students indoors asap. We went to ThreatCon Delta shortly thereafter, and our base shutdown. 2) Challenger -- I'm conducting a research altitude chamber experiment in San Antonio. Of all things are experiment was funded by NASA and FOR the shuttle program. 3) Columbia -- I woke up early to watch the landing. I'm drinking coffee, and notice that it's overdue for landing. I know that isn't good....
  17. 54 Miles = 285,120 Feet can i ask why they consider this as the edge of space? Ha, I knew the question would come. To tell ya the truth, the "exact" answer is unbeknownst to me. I'll ask a couple astronauts for ya on Monday.... But, as far as I'm concerned, 63K (Armstongs Line) is what I personally consider as the "start" of space. I think someone already stated that here. When the vapor pressure in the body is equal to the pressure at that altitude, body fluids will start to off-gas.
  18. NASA considers 54 miles the start point.
  19. This just in. This has to be one of the best singles ads ever printed. It appeared in The Atlanta Journal. SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good looking girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me. Call (404) 875-6420 and ask for Daisy, I'll be waiting... Over 15,000 men found themselves talking to the Atlanta Humane Society about an 8-week-old black Labrador retriever. (Men are so easy.)
  20. Paige, I gotta say too, your ass is SMOKIN!
  21. I definitely said military.... After serving my first overseas tour and coming home to see the folks, I think I said the word "fuck" about 5 times to my parents before my brother said...err...you know you said "fuck" in front of mom!!! It became such a regular word in my vocabulary, that I could not hear myself saying it!
  22. Air Force rules are the same. No jumping while in pilot training. You are currently flying, correct?
