  3. ok, everyone is naming some exotic locations, with beaches, mountains, beautiful water..etc..etc.... Here's my perfect vacation, been twice so far and going back this summer. OSHKOSH, WI AIRSHOW in July......(7 days of heaven).... Fly in, pitch a tent next to your airplane, wake in the mornings to sounds of radial engines turning over, and just as the sun is peeping up, hear a 4-ship of P-51 Mustangs getting airborne), sucking the gear into the wells, with you and your friends rolling out of sleeping bags with these shit eating grins on your faces. Finally after 7 days of the most awesome airshow flying in the world under the bluest of skies, seeing old friends, and drinking wayyyy too much, you too pack it up and get in line with thousands of other crazies and fly back home.......doesn't get any better than that! Hey, you asked about best vacations!! I'll come by and pick you up....... Buck

  9. Wanna live with your GF/BF/SO (not married) in North Carolina? Think again, it's against the law!!!!! From CNN website today: WILMINGTON, North Carolina (AP) -- An unmarried couple who are the parents of a 2-year-old child may be forced to separate because cohabitation is illegal in North Carolina and would violate the woman's probation. Melissa Sheridan said she has about two years of probation left for welfare fraud in New York state. She moved to North Carolina a few months ago with her boyfriend, John Finger. New York allowed her to leave with the assumption North Carolina would supervise her probation, but North Carolina has refused because she and Finger live together, she said. Terry Gootee of the 5th Judicial District's Division of Community Corrections said North Carolina routinely refuses to accept cases involving cohabitation. "We cannot allow that person to violate the law," he said. Gootee said cohabiting couples have three choices: Get married, move to another state or set up separate households. New Hanover County Sheriff Sid Causey said he couldn't remember the last time someone was charged with cohabiting in the county, which includes Wilmington and had nearly 3,000 households of unmarried partners in the 2000 Census. "It is still on the books. But it is almost impossible to enforce," Causey said. Sheridan said she and Finger are each married to other people and cannot afford divorces. If they are forced to separate, Sheridan said, she will go on welfare until she can get a job to support her family.

  18. Not sure I understand you. But, you don't need to save the money up and wait to invest. You invest NOW, on a monthly basis! Amazing how even a little (put in the correct investment) grows to a lot. It's the law of compounding interest. Does your SO have a 401K or some other type of plan at work? If so, max that puppy out......if able... I was stupid and really didn't start investing until I was 30. I use 'Smith Barney' and I'm happy with them. I also have a 401K thru work and my returns are averaging 30% as of late! Don't worry about the daily ups/downs of the stock market. I love it when the market falls, I get to buy cheap stock! Get in it for the long haul. Buck
  19. Sorry, I'm at work, would if I could! But if possible, make mine a Shiner, none of that phoo phoo Heineken stuff.... [sing it like Alan Jackson] "Pop a top a again.]
