Sunny. Thank you for the sunshine bouquet. You're hilarious. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

My response to Kelel01's thread about assuming....*Pissed*

Thinking logically. Thinking logically. Nope. I have NO idea why page two disappeared. The only post on page two I'd read was Jumper03 saying something about changing the title. I'd turned my head, hit refresh and *POOF*. Pinch me, turtle. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

This is not good. My dreams have been crazy lately. The last thing I need is to have mind-tricks played upon me. P.S. What the hell? I don't get it. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

Oh, thank goodness! B/c I wanted to respond....is this thread not about a relationship b/w kelel and jumper03 but rather a thread about jumper03 and another girl? B/c I like Kelel01 and certainly I wouldn't want any confusion in the matter. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

Umm....am I going crazy? I would have sworn I'd read a page two to this in which you said maybe you should have changed the title....???? Seriously...don't screw with my mental stability. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -
While half-joking, my point remains. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Silly rabbit. Those are easily stolen/changed, etc. And then of course, you never know who's sharing whose computer with who... Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Now, minus the terminology (antibiotics, viral, whatever) I would agree. One thing that highly interested me was biology & particularly bio-technology. I've come to realize why it's so important to be choosy to whom one prescribes various medicine to, and also why it's so important to continue taking the prescription as recommended--even if you feel better the next day.

Don't do that! I have butterfingers and I accidentally dropped a wine glass I was removing from our wine glass holder before I'd even had my first sip of the day, and it shattered. It shattered and thank goodness Billy was there b/c it sliced both my wrists horizontally to my hands. Sppppoooooooky. There was actually a piece of glass still stuck in one of my wrists and Billy removed it. Mind you I have to be REAAAAALY trusting to let someone do that. Mostly I'd rather have removed it myself. But it required two hands. Anywho...we had a dinner date that night and I had to go out with two big bandages around my wrists---it was mid-summer and thus a long-sleeved shirt would not have sufficed and would have looked plain silly. The moral of my story: Just say "No!" to breaking glass. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -
Don't be...b/c I would have bet $500 that what I said wasn't necessarily incorrect. I once had what was described to me by a doctor as a virus and he prescribed me an antibiotic. Of course, he prescribed me something else too, and I forget what now; probably an anti-viral. I can't even remember what I had as it was a long time ago. It was a really, really bad cold and I lost my voice. I know I was given an antibiotic. I just know it. Regardless...this is not my area of expertise. And as mentioned I rarely get sick, so the # of times I've actually been prescribed something are minimal. Ordinarily, when I'd receive a response like SkyDekker's I'd do some research before replying as it did occur to me when he said that I might have used the term incorrectly. But I was busy and like I said: I would have bet $500. On another drift, Billy and I routinely bet each other $500. The same $500 goes back and forth all the time. Right now he's got it. I bet him $500 the other day a stop light had been there since we've lived here. He insisted it was new and he called the city right then, put the woman on speaker phone and explained he had a bet with his girlfriend about that light and knew it was a silly question, but he had to know when it was put in. He won. It had only been put in about a month ago. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

I see...so he was messing with me for saying "antibiotic" instead of "antiviral" or such. Geez, ya'll get what I meant. I had three majors--none were science. Though, ironically all three of my degrees were classified as a "Bachelor's of Science" (even Mass-Comm) Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Are you going to vote in the Noverber Election
PLFXpert replied to shortyj's topic in Speakers Corner
No. No. It would be The Super-Cool Party. And we could all wear super-cool sunglasses.--maybe those 80s ones with the neon colors on the side. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

It most certainly would. But it would have the flexibility of self-invented fun grammar and my special selection of ebonics favorities. Fo' rizzal. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -
Are you going to vote in the Noverber Election
PLFXpert replied to shortyj's topic in Speakers Corner
You bring up an interesting point--a third majority party and what its benefits would be/problems it might pose. I've often wondered that myself being that I don't fit neatly, not even close, into either major party. Of course I'm biased, but I think my newly invented third party would quickly become major & super-cool. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -
Are you going to vote in the Noverber Election
PLFXpert replied to shortyj's topic in Speakers Corner
Well, exactly. But someone, somewhere has to keep record of who votes for whom. It was only heresay, but seemed plausible. Obviously I didn't care enough to research it. I figured I'd find out if I ever received an absentee ballot with primary elections actually on it. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

PLFXpert replied to shortyj's topic in Speakers Corner
I've thought the exact same thing. I understand why the primary might be necessary, though. I heard, but never read, that if one routinely voted for the opposite party than registered, such person would be automatically reclassified into the other party. It can't be true, though--being that I'm registered independent (non-party affliated) and vote 80% of the time to one particular party never missing an election (always via absentee). -
On one hand I'm not surprised...I was having to try really hard to get into it. But, it grew on me a bit and I was definitely satisfied with the most recent two episodes. I wondered why my DVR didn't record last night's episode. I guess there wasn't one? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Are you going to vote in the Noverber Election
PLFXpert replied to shortyj's topic in Speakers Corner
You know what I've always wondered.... What's to keep someone who is really a Democrat from registering as a Republican so they can instead vote in the Republican primary for the worst, in their opinion, candidate? Then always vote Democrat during the general election? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

I routinely leave half the amendment "yes or no" questions blank for that reason. You have to give me credit for the other half, though. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. -

Already did. -
Indeed---there was rarely an event I missed out on and the best part was not having to pay the "dues" to go to it, & of course drinking and enjoying the festivites on their bill. But, I also often volunteered with my friends, too. The best part is each one of my closest friends were in different sororities--so I got to pick which one was doing the most interesting (to me personally) volunteer work that day and tag along---actually for the volunteer stuff they were usually begging me to come along. Somehow they were always short-handed for their "philanthropy" events. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
