  1. Ditto---Kitchen. Batteries. Billy has his own junk drawer in his armoire for all the stuff he wants to just toss somewhere and not have me move/put away/file/or store for him. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  2. I love clever banter and that was seriously lacking in the first 2-3 episodes. The last few, as prevoiusly mentioned, have been chalk-full of it and I've really enjoyed it.
  3. Ooo. I loved Hair, too. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  4. I'm a planner. And I generally can't stand being surprised. But, every once in a while I surprise the hell out of others with my spontaneity. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  5. I'm with you now. Last night's episode was the best yet! Hilarious! (Except for that one part) I really, really enjoyed it. Over the past three episodes I've really enjoyed the quality in writing, production, etc. I think where the show failed was in the first two episodes. They were too introductory & lacked a lot of the funny & thoughtful quips. While I appreciated the show enough to keep watching, my guess is most people did not. Far be it for me to give advice to the talented writers, but I will anyways: I just think if you don't catch your audience right from the beginning you stand a big chance of loosing them altogether. Having said that, I really, really hope the show continues by some grace. Again, the last three episodes have been superb. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  6. He. He. Funny. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  7. I'm embarrased to admit it since it's always everyone's favorite... But, fine! Sound of Music is my favorite, too. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  8. I haven't been to Vegas, and Billy and I keep saying we'd love to go so....
  9. I also LOVE Phantom. Les Miserables, sadly, is one I haven't seen/wish I'd seen. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  10. It's true. It's true. It's not so crazy, though. Studies have shown pets tend to bond more with owners of the opposite sex. Frankly, I don't know whether it's so true or not. Our animals (two males & a female) all seem to bond equally with Billy & I and don't really care who's petting them/playing with them/feeding them as long as they're getting attention. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  11. That's Sabre & Zoe' to a T. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  12. Oh...my...gosh! Yes, I too dissected a cat, people. And wouldn't you know?--All of the cats were black except one...one, sweet all-white kitty cat and THAT is the one my lab partners choose. Then they named it...Snowball. I wanted to vomit. Instead, they kept cracking jokes until I couldn't help but laugh at the situation. And then I got over it.
  13. I think we would have been excellent study-buddies. The naughty mnemonics always worked best for me, too. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  14. Well, there you go. For me, it just always seemed obvious what to write down and what wouldn't be on the test. Unfortunately, being that I was taking so many courses at once and all required a LOT of writing, research, etc. I had to "cut the fat" a lot. There was just no way I was going to study & remember ALL the details. But we are talking Anatomy here---Yup, seems details are quite important. Damn diagrams explaining how when you excercise, you sweat water rather than alcohol b/c the energy stored could have been alcohol had one little detail not happened in the process or something-whatever-I-can't-remember like that. I remember that much, though, b/c of course I thought, "Hey, wouldn't it have been cool if we could get a good buzz from a workout?" Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  15. You didn't do anything. I responded to your pm. I thought you were making fun of my punctuation; but in AP style, the last comma in a series is omitted. As mentioned in pm, due to my sig line, everyone likes to make fun when I make a mistake. Naturally, paranoia sets in, and I assumed you were doing the same thing. I enjoy laughing at myself, though. I make mistakes often and it's far more fun to laugh than cry. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  16. I've heard of (but never tried) Squeak's study-tip before. Scent is the strongest sensory tied to the mind (did I say that right?), afterall. Different tricks work for different people. I'm a big fan of mnemonics, myself. I put things into rhyme or sing-song; or if it's items in a series, I'll make up a sentence with each word in the sentence starting with the first letter of one of the items in the series--in order if necessary. My notes are/were always organized in timeline fashion, too, and I found that pink highlighter was a more helpful reminder than yellow. I'd read over my notes a couple times and, by the way I organized them for myself, it was almost as if I could see them verbatim in my mind when it came test-time. Repetition is always the easiest, most natural way of learning and/or memorizing, as well. For me, though, listening to the same three-hour lecture over and over would not be as effective as just re-reading my notes a couple times. I'm quite certain I'd be concentrating on other things while listening and/or spacing out. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  17. Hey man. They were like a totally cool hockey team. Who doesn't love a polar bear wearing shades? Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  18. I actually just Googled him myself, as I was curious what his political affiliation was, being that he makes fun of both major parties--though he seems to make just a little more fun of Republicans. He's a Socialist. Ahhh...memories of many readings on Karl Marx. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  19. A million times as a high-schooler attending the Orlando Magic & Solar Bears games. We were a wild bunch.
  20. Lewis Black didn't die, silly. That other guy did. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  21. Many musicals include dancing, and that's part of the appeal for me. I love to be entertained, and I love the energy & emotion. I grew up being exposed to a lot of the arts & music, and I absolutely loved it all.
  22. I just saw his "Red, White & Screwed" performance (I've seen most of his previous ones, too) and laughed my bootie off. I LOVE that he makes fun of both major political parties.
  23. There are many I haven't seen/would love to see/wish I'd seen. Billy is NOT a fan of musicals. The only time I successfully convinced him to take me to the theatre was for Stomp. And now we've seen Stomp three times--I'll take what I can get. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
  24. My mutti had the album, and I played it over and over when I was little, long before I actually saw the musical.
