I didn't realize PADI had gone downhill. When I got certified over twenty years ago, they were considered very good. My daughter got certfied by them a couple of years ago, and I thought the class was good. But then, it was taught by a couple of old timers who were very conscientious. Mine is through IDEA. You might want to see what is recognized in the areas you want to dive. If you hit places in the Caribbean, they might not recognize some certifications. The system automatically bids for me, up to my maximum. If someone wants the item more than I do (bids more), so be it. I wasn't willing to pay that much and they were. Based on how often the country vacillates on the party of the president, we are fairly evenly divided. There are swing voters who just get tired of trying one party and give the other another shot. The biggest problem, as I see it, is that politicians mistake someone voting for them as someone supporting them. They then plow forward with their agenda with the conviction that we are behind them. However, I notice the two parties rarely quibble over how those necessary functions should be executed. Just for discussion - I have a rule of thumb that says people's intent is best interpreted from their actions and not their words. Based on actions, it is my interpretation that the two dominant parties in the US work thusly: Democrats - Want to take my money away. Give it to people who vote / think like they do. Tell me how to live my life, talk, think, have sex, pray, etc. Often fail to live up to their stated ideals. Tend to lie and blame others when they get caught. Think they are right about everything, and anyone who disagrees with them must be evil or stupid. Aren't particularly interested in facts unless they comport with pre-conceived theories. Did you check out either of the links she provided? The lottery and other options are discussed there. None apply to Mexicans who do not have an advanced degree or a sponsoring family member. Don I did check out the links. And as an attorney who has worked immigration law, I will tell you it is not as difficult as that site might make one think. An employer sponsorship is actually pretty straight forward. It takes a bit of time, but I've never talked to an employer who wasn't willing to do it for a solid employee.
